A mortifying experience. No ambience in this little room at the back of a storage office, no water no wine no magazines no music no retail products, and not very good communication skills obviously -certainly not a an uplifting experience ! I now struggle with my hair every single day now. I had 24 inches of hair and I have 3 inches long at the crown right now. The shortest layer should have rested on my shoulders ! It will take 10 years to grow this back. I'm looking at wigs at this point. Krystin did not listen to me she didn't pay attention to the pictures she didn't know how to cut curly hair or color properly - she simply did not have the skills; I wish she would've just said that my request was beyond her skill level. This was a horrible experience with a very unskilled hairdresser that had no customer service awareness , didn't even apologize when I complained to the owner, she acted like she did everything I asked her to -HA hell no- and that she was proud of her work. I was polite when I left so she probably assumed I was OK with what she had done but as soon as I got to my car I cried my eyes out . She didn't even offer me a refund or apology. Had she done so I would not have posted the pictures and the review but sorry Krystin - People should know! I have to live with this atrocity. I have gone to two more stylist to get it blended $$$$$$ and try to correct the color and I've also had to pay the big ticket for Brazilian blowout just to try to make it more manageable. You should be ashamed of yourself for not apologizing and owning up to this. I can't recommend this salon at all because the owner did not necessarily stick up for the customer. She listened but ultimately said that she's a booth renter and she can't do anything about it ! I don't know how Krystin sleeps at night. I was recommended this salon by a friend, so I decided to be adventurous and get a color done for my next visit. The consultation over the phone went well as we discussed my hair might need to be pre lightened, but this was not for sure as they didn't see my natural color. I went in feeling confident I would get the color I wanted. They didn't pre lighten my hair, I didn't know enough about hair to comment about this. I won't say my stylist's name, but she did say she had double booked herself and was working on my hair and someone else's simultaneously. I think this is partly why the process was rushed. Not only did my hair come out an ashy blue, more gray if anything, (I am a natural medium to light blonde) they charged me for BOTH the pre-lightening (which they didn't do!) and the color. My total came out to over $250. Again, I didn't know enough about hair and thought this was normal. Just an expensive disappointment. I cried on my way home because I hated my hair so much. It wasn't until two days later I reached out via email and said that I didn't like my hair did they say they had charged me $120 for a service they didn't even do. This is all they offered to refund me. This would have never have been noticed had I not complained, I would have just been out $120 for a service I didn't get. I first was going to get my hair redone with them, but then I heard their employees talking about me over the phone while making a new appointment. Needless to say I was uncomfortable going back in and canceled that appointment. The blue has all but washed out after one wash and now I have dark gray hair. I do not recommend this salon, all in all an expensive disappointment. Very displeased with my experience and the treatment afterward from the employees (management was kind).

I'm new to SLC and didn't have a hair stylist.) First of all, I have a dirty blond/brassy natural hair color... i.e. EASY to pull blonde because it's already very light overall. I have NEVER had an issue and I've dyed my hair as blonde as Paris Hilton before and have dyed my hair for 15+ years with many sytlists. I waited to go to a different stylist to confirm if it was my hair or Kassi before I posted anything. Turns out, it was Kassi and I know exactly what she's doing wrong. And a $500 lesson (yea, ouch). I went to Kassi twice. The first time she was working on someone else first and she pulled a VERY orange blonde. This made me nervous but I reasoned with myself 'well that lady had very dark hair'. So I went through with the appointment (mistake 1) and she wasn't able to pull my hair blonde (more like a semi-brassy color that you could barely see). I went back a second time just figuring that she needed to get to know me and my hair (my second costly mistake). My hair literally looked worse than when I arrived. I was so shocked and unhappy that I said my hair looks bad- there is no blonde and you're making it more cooper. She was even perplexed and AGREED and could not figure out why my hair didn't pull blonde (yet still charged me the entire cost of the appointment)... "yea, this isn't the color I was expecting either. Maybe it's because of your Brazilian Blowout, I had the same issue with another lady. We could try again at another appointment". So you want me to pay you another $250 to "try"? What? Also, I've been getting Brazilian Blowouts for over a decade and never encountered this issue (and haven't gotten one in over a year which is long for me) so I thought geez, maybe she's right because my hair is soo easy to pull blonde and it's not working. So I made an appointment with a different stylist after asking around (wish I did this initially). This new stylist literally had NO PROBLEM pulling my hair a super light pretty blonde. It was so easy she actually toned it darker so it'd mix well with the rest of my hair that she was dyeing (to correct Kassi's work). I was telling her the issues I was having with Kassi and she was able to point out (before she even touched my hair) what Kassi was doing wrong: 1. She uses Saran Wrap instead of foil. Foil keeps your hair moist and warm, thus allowing it to process. 2. Kassi's dye is thick and almost clay-like. It quickly dries on your hair under the Saran Wrap and your hair becomes this very dry stiff thing and the dye is literally flaking off. The new stylist explained to me that when the air hits the dye and it dries that like, it's no longer processing your hair. So Kassi was literally not processing my hair- what I paid her $500 to do. So I sent her a text (you're welcome) giving her the information for WHY my hair wasn't pulling blonde (this is really basic technique and it's concerning she doesn't know it, especially considering my new stylist pin pointed this before she even touched my hair). I also told her I waited until I went to a new stylist before I said anything to be sure it wasn't my hair and it was actually her technique. She might want to tell her other client whom she also blamed the Brazilian Blowout on that it's not that at all. I asked her if she would consider refunding part of the service since she wasn't actually processing my hair (and now I'm paying someone else to cover what she did). She never responded. Classy. So anyways, it was a $500 lesson, but hopefully Kassi honestly listens to my text and goes back to same basic 101 dye classes. I'm still shocked at the struggle. LOL. I've included a picture of my hair after the SECOND visit to Kassi so you can see how truly horrible of a job she did (remember, I was going for BLONDE). It's honestly shocking. The only good thing to come out of this is I found a REALLY good stylist that is LESS expensive than Kassi. I have her contact info if you're looking for a hairstylist like I was and don't want to end up like I did!
