This place is THE best!!!! A lot of salons can be intimidating and bougie and you don't always feel welcome, especially in park city. We came here for the first time tonight for a hair cut for my 12 year old. Shae was our stylist and she was so kind and engaging with my daughter, she did the most amazing wash, cut and blow out and made her feel like a super star. Immediately upon walking in the front desk agent was friendly and offered us drinks. Super clean and good vibes. A true gem in park city! You won't regret going here. I don't often leave reviews, but when a place is amazing, it's incumbent to let management of the Salon know; Whitney and Brooklyn are so awesome. I actually enjoy the whole staff.. but my frequent interactions with those two, specifically, are always fantastic. Whitney has done such a fantastic job with my hair. I guarantee you it's turned more heads than most hair cuts in Park City .. whether blue, turquoise, purple, red or between, she's worked the creativity on this Mohawk and it always looks clean, stylish, and vibrant. People can love it or hate it - but they can't accuse it of being poorly styled and colored. read more

Got a haircut, got home, wanted some changes. (Just a little bit shorter in the front) I called back the next day and asked to get in for a quick amendment and they told me it would cost full price!!! This took less than 5 minutes at another salon and they were shocked that "Lit Salon" would not do it for free. Be careful with this place as their customer service seems quality up front but they will try to get away with what they can. I believe the barber did this because he thought I could afford it easily and thought I would just pay it. But I will not stand for poor customer service and want it to be apparent that the "Lit salon" is not very "Lit" when it comes to customer service. Also I talked to the business owner and she said that the barber said I wanted it shorter all over which is not what I requested. I think he is just trying to cover himself since he was trying to pull some crap and got caught doing it. read more

Ali is an exceptional and experienced stylist. She always provides honest feedback on different styles for my hair. I also love the products she recommends. Prices are good and appreciate that products are not pushed on you. She always takes her time and gives the best scalp massages. The salon is well decorated, clean and friendly. The receptionist is so nice and accommodating. The hair wash station is like walking into a spa. Candles, a warm fireplace, essential oils and warm towels applied to scalp after a luxurious scalp massage. One could take a nap. Love love love this place read more

I found this place on yelp and despite the lack of photos I decided to give it a try. Makinley was my stylist, she was super friendly and sled a lot of questions to make sure that my hair was done the way I wanted and took her time in doing so. The cut, wash, and style was all included in the price which was very reasonable. She took my unruly crazy long hair and freshened it up. I will never go astray from Hailey at LIT. I'm not a full time resident in UT, but I'm here seasonally. I don't know what got in me to try an unfamiliar salon that came recommended by a family member. I was always happy with Hailey and still don't know why I veered off track. Let me just say that Hailey is a MIRACLE worker!!! I came to her after trying the other salon with a disastrous experience!!! My hair was orange!! I've never been in tears over my hair before and was completely hopeless that it could even be repaired. I urgently went to Hailey and she fit me the very next day by coming in on a Sat. She worked an absolute MiRACLE!!! I'll never stray again. In fact I'm trying to figure out a plan so that she can do my hair year round!! Visited the "barber shop" at Lit Salon for a standard barbershop cut and Eric (who happens to be a very nice guy) unfortunately gave me one of the worst, most poorly blended cuts I have EVER received! Looked bad when I left and even worse after showering. I was super bummed by just how terrible it looked and called to see if I could drop in to get it fixed. I came back in only to have Eric tell me "I probably can't fix it" and this isn't a "fade shop". A fade shop?!?? You market yourself as a barber shop yet you can't blend with clippers?!?! I got my $ back and will take my business elsewhere. Highly disappointed. read more

Great work. No attitude. So many good things to say about this salon, these people and their work. I have been a loyal customer before there was even a Lit Salon (followed them from another salon). I moved to Park City from San Francisco, where my stylist there owns a celebrated salon and he travels world wide to do hair - for fashion shows in Paris and Hollywood events from Cannes to the Oscars. I had high expectations, and these lovely people have met them and then some. However, when I've not communicated my wishes well or a product doesn't behave as expected the fix is fast and free and with a smile. (Yes, after almost 6 years working together - as often as every 4 weeks sometimes, with hair styles from post-chemo brown default pixie to dirt blond and hippie-long to a platinum bob and back again - stumbles do happen occasionally. It's a relationship, folks.) Can't recommend them highly enough except to say that I considered not adding a review because I selfishly want to keep them for myself. read more

I'm usually really nervous getting my hair cut. I've had the same person cut my hair for about 4 years, then when I moved to Utah I bounced around from stylist to stylist looking for someone to build a relationship with. I found one, but then she moved, and it's been nothing but disappointment since. So when I received a great cut here I was so damn relieved. When you first walk into this place it's a real shock. You can't see inside through the windows, but once you enter you're inside this beautiful interior with all this custom woodwork going on. It has a really calming feel to it like some Asian zen garden/cabin in a magical forest. You get greeted immediately when you walk in. While you're waiting for your appointment you are offered a beverage. Really great customer service. You feel welcomed and like you're wanted. Like they want you there. It's a crazy concept. A business actually wanting their customers in there. My stylist was Hailey or Haily. I'm not really sure on the spelling. She was great. She listened carefully to how I like my hair to look, how people cut it in the past, the disasters I've had and so on. She gave me one of the most relaxing shampoos and then cut my hair exactly like I wanted it cut. She then suggested a few products to me. Let me play with them and that was that. It was a really great experience and I got a really cool hair product too. It was a good time and I highly recommend you try this place out. A bit pricey, but everything is to me since I use to have a close friend cut my hair in exchange for sushi. You get what you pay for though. And I paid for peace of mind. This salon is the best in PC. The atmosphere is relaxing and rustic. The staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable. They serve adult beverages while you wait and Erin R is always on time.
