I went in with perfectly 2 month grown out eyebrows. She could have done any shape she wanted to. She literally cut half my eyebrow off AND they are uneven. For something I went in to do last minute, fine, but I'll never be back again that's for sure. I'll be waiting to go to my regular eyebrow lady "Susan" at the Simi town center. The only reason I didn't go this time is because of being back to back with school and work I had no time and this place was in the same place as my work. Bad mistake. **yikes, look at the stubby end of one eyebrow and then the dramatic difference to the other. Honestly worst eyebrow shape anyone has given me. Lol thank god for makeup. read more

I've been here about 8 times and this was by far the worst experience I've had. I told the woman I like my eyebrows "Thick" and when I looked in the mirror I was shocked...I had a very thin line I could barely see! I told her I didn't want the other side soooo thin. So she gave me a completely different shape on the other side!!! Looks like I have to find another place :( I overheard the people leaving before me, being told they will no longer accept the punch card for a free service. read more

I was looking for a place in Simi Valley to get my eyebrows threaded and several options came up on Yelp, including Studio iThread. I decided to try it out even though there were no reviews. I'm so glad I did! It's a small yet classy little shop. Just two chairs but really pretty inside. The lady who did my brows was very nice and did an excellent job. It's currently $9 for brows or $12 for brows/upper lip. They take credit cards and have a customer loyalty card (buy a certain amount of eyebrow threadings, get one free). After experimenting with a few other threading places in Thousand Oaks, I think I've found my favorite. I don't live in Simi but I do head out there once a twice a month and when I do, I'll definitely be back. Thank you for the great experience :) read more

As an ex-sharpie style eyebrowee, I love and cherish my (now) sparse eyebrows and will only go to the best! That being said, I've been coming here since they moved from Vallarta into this Plaza. Although I haven't been here in a few months (in the process of growing out some more), I have recommended many family members and friends to Mona. She is great! Her personality is warm, and she takes her time in manicuring your brows. Always listens to what you want, shows you the end product to be sure you are happy with it, cleans off the area with rose water, and even offers to shade a bit with pencil. She consistently goes above and beyond - her level of service keeps us all coming back! FULL DISCLOSURE **** I cannot say the same about the other women who work here and time after time mess up my mom's brows! I care SO much that I call before I go now.. Even if the other women hang up on me when I call and ask for Mona's hours! What can I say? I only want the best. read more

This is the most efficient eyebrow threading studio I have ever been to. The woman had the thread in her mouth ready to go before I even sat down. She got ready so fast, she forgot to ask me what I wanted. I thought that the outcome of my brows was pretty good. I got the slight arch that I asked for, and they didn't come out too thin. However, the one thing that I really didn't like was when the woman used a makeup brush to get the hair off my face. Does that brush get sanitized between each use?! I would come back here simply because my go-to threading salon is more than an hour away. read more

They are efficient and quick. No lines (well I usually go as soon as they open) and everything is really clean. What more can you ask for? I've been here about ten times now and have always had the same girl. I never got her name, but she was young and pretty. She was solid. She took her time and her threading was consistently good. Today, however, I had an older lady. I was there at 11 when the store was supposed to open and no one was there. I waited and the woman finally came about five minutes past. Now, there were already two people waiting after me. She asked me if I was just there to clean up my brows and I said yes. She spent no more than two minutes, rushing through the whole thing. By now, there were three people waiting after me so I think she was trying to speed up to lessen the waiting time for others. She barely flashed the mirror at me when she was done to show me and then rushed me to pay. I did and left quickly, but when I was in the car and finally able to look at myself, there was a huge gap in my right eyebrow! She ripped out more hair than intended and didn't tell me or show me. She didn't even try to cover it up by penciling it in, she just moved on to the next customer. One star for her! It's her fault she opened the store late and had a line waiting. Bottom line: only go if the younger girl is working. Avoid the older lady like the plague. read more

I'm visiting my sister in Simi and realized my eyebrows are at "WOLF CAPACITY" I asked my niece about thread shops in the area and really didn't know of any. So I went to my trusty YELP and low and behold I came across this nearby place at 4**** stars. I brought my niece and we were greeted by Saila. It was a nice quaint salon, quiet and clean atmosphere, I asked her to please clean me out and keep my natural arch. She took her time with me and was very polite and courteous. To say the least she did an amazing job with my eyebrows, I convinced my niece to give it a try, and she also got threaded for the first time, Saila was very patient with her and kept reassuring her she was doing good throughout the process. These people are just so rude... Not accommodating at All!! I attempted to walk in and of course they said they were close (no exceptions).. Fine, I'm ok with that.. So again, I attempted to make an appointment at 2 (they open at 10 am and close at 4pm).. The girl on the phone said she was Booked all day until closing at 3pm.. 3pm!!??? Uh they usually close at 4.. She didn't care to try to be accommodating or ask if I would like to book another time.. She was just awfully non chalant! Layla is great but I thought since this place was closer I should give it a try.. I'll stick with the longer trip with Layla.. Those girls do a great job anyway... Customer oriented staff, everyone there is so kind and they all know what they are doing (unlike other places... cough cough Layla's) I usually do my own eyebrows because I was never able to trust anyone else with my brows. (Let's just say I've had a really really bad experience-elsewhere) I have an eyebrow thicker than the other and to top it all off they're not aligned how I would love them to be but the girls there know exactly how to create a master piece out of a disaster. This is THE BEST threading bar around- hands down. They take their time with you and do a precise and excellent job every time. Not to mention- the price is right! My only complaint is that every time I go in and ask for eyebrow tinting they do not have my color, or say that the girl who does it is not in. I feel like they should all be trained to do this service. I've been here about 4x now and have never once been able to get my eyebrows tinted. :( Even still- this place is stellar. I've had my eyebrows botched several times by that threading bar at the mall (you know the one!) where they thinned out my brows too much or made them uneven. Absolutely terrible now. Don't get me wrong; 2 years ago this was the best place to get your eyebrows done but recently, after Covid there's only one lady who works there who has a terrible attitude. Not only is she rude by making remarks on "when was the last time you got your eyebrows done??" But refuses to wear a mask in the middle of a pandemic. Even if you kindly ask for her to wear a mask, she puts it on reluctantly, rolls her eyes and recently, ruined my eyebrows. One was thicker than the other and still is. Not only is it embarrassing but utterly ridiculous that she refuses to clean tools and other instruments she uses. I understand the freedoms of masking (I feel more comfortable health wise when a mask is used...especially during the Covid variant) but I really do think it's seriously important as a customer who needs medical accommodations. And please, isn't it fair to disinfect the instruments she uses on other people...even before the pandemic? It's basic hygiene. It really sucks to see this place end up like this when it was one of the best places to be at. Sad but truthful. read more
