Avoid! Jill strong-armed me into an appointment when I was at her place for a facial then added a fee that was not previously disclosed when I was unable to make it. This despite my telling her in plenty of time I was called out of town. She pretended not to get the text. Jill--you cannot add a fee arbitrarily after the fact. You never mentioned a cancellation fee. Paid you to get you to stop texting me over and over and over. Am telling everyone I know to avoid this business. You cannot attach fees that were not in the original agreement. You got $50 of my money but only to get you out of my life. AVOID this place! read more

Jillian needs to improve her communication, time management, judgement and accountability. I scheduled a Brazilian blowout weeks ago. I waited 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment and decided I was tired of waiting. Then she told me she "almost done". She became defensive explaining it "wasn't her fault", the customer before me was late and couldn't cut hair faster. Communication, an apology and some sense of ownership of how she could have handled her choices better, would have gone a long ways. Maybe ...don't agree to take a late customer who impacts the rest of your customers or let your next customer know you are running late. Responding "it's not my fault"and responding snarky "I can't cut hair faster" is not the right answer. Consequently, she lost what could have been a long term customer by exercising bad judgment, poor communication and lack of accountability. Her defense position demonstrated that other peoples time is just not important to her. read more

I had receive a Brazilian blowout from Jilian as a gift from my sister that she purchased of livingsocial. I was super excited about it and scheduled my appointment. About a week before my blowout i dyed my hair blonde and seeing as I did it myself i kinda messed up my hair. So when I went to her to get my blowout she said my hair was just wayyyy to messed up to blowout. I was a little frustrated at first but i figured she was a pro and she must know what shes talking about, so she just cut my hair that day and we scheduled for me to come back in 3 weeks to touch up my roots and do the blowout. I came back 3 weeks later and she said my hair still wasn't ready for the blowout......ok so she touched up my roots. She didn't want to bleach my roots because she was too worried so she just used a lifter or something, but she ended up turning my roots blonde, but tinted blue!! It wasn't that bad SUPER but my roots were light blue for like a week! So then 3 weeks later i went in for my blowout. I LOVED the results when i left her salon. Like she said i waited a few days to wash it and when i did my hair was the EXACT same as it was before i got the blowout. I was very disappointed. I let her know this and she said she would then do it again for free. So a week later when i came in to get my roots touched up again i expected her to do it, but she said she wanted to wait long.. ok whatever so she did my roots again... THIS TIME THEY WERE PURPLE!!!! Once again I had purple roots for like a week and a half! After allll this I decided to still give her a chance cause i didn't know any better so she did my roots again and she did a good job. Not great but better, they weren't blue or purple. I then refereed my sister and a friend to her. Both my sister and friend got blowouts from her so she said my next root touch up was free! Both my sister and my friend didn't have great results either. So i was scheduled to go back and get my roots done but that week I didn't have any money so I told her I wasn't going to be able to make it but she insisted i still come in and she would do it for me. I was very happy about this. THEN the day of my appointment she texted me two hours before to tell me she had someone else coming in for MY appointment because she needed money. That was the last I EVER heard from her. She is a great person and has a WONDERFUL personality but i was very disappointed from the services i got from her. read more

ZERO STARS! I could not be more furious. I sent my daughter for a Brazilian Blowout for $250 plus $70 for product. I asked her in advance of the treatment if the process did not take, would she redo it at no cost and she said "yes". Well, after one washing it is frizzy and it is very wavy and this is not what any of the pictures she sent me from the Brazilian Blowout website looked like. She has completely backed down on our agreement and cares nothing about me being satisfied as a customer. I would absolutely never go to her again. Don't waste your money, go somewhere else to have this done. I have had a Brazillian Blowout done on my hair in SF 3 different times and the result was 1000 times better. If you are going to spend this much money, go to someone that actually guarantees their work like Tina at Tribez who charges the same exact price. read more

I had a brazillian blowout done by Jillian after purchasing a Living Social deal. I have fine, curly, tending toward frizzy hair which I use semi-perm color on sometimes. I am soooooo happy with the results from Jillian! My hair feels spectacular. I didn't schedule a cut at the time of my appointment as I thought I'd just check her out, but she also "dusted" my ends to even my existing haircut up. Also, know that she works out of a small, but friendly shop, not a big salon. It's a long process, so it's also nice that she has a great personality. I'm so glad that I ended up finding this wonderful salon and it's all thanks to my husband. For the longest time I had been toying with the idea of getting keratin done but then I did some research which showed that Brazilian blowout is better than any other hair treatment. I couldn't find any good salons in my neighborhood that would do this treatment without charging an arm and a leg. My hubby dearest helped me in my search quest and viola I landed up at Studio J and ended up meeting Jillian, one of the most wonderful people I've ever met.
