She was very thorough during the consultation to make sure I understand what she is about to do and that I also get what I came in for. My original hair was highlighted (super bleached/ashy) and had a bad layered cut (turns out I had a mullet I wasn't aware of lol). I wanted to return to my natural color and also get a cut to even out my layers. Within two hours, Hanh achieved the color and cut seamlessly through proper and detailed steps to repair my damaged hair. My experience with her was fantastic. She is so bubbly and fun to talk to and she is an expert in her field. I have never learned so much about hair ever in my life! Even for styling, she gave so many tips. I made an appointment for Saturday morning and come Saturday, they were ready for me! The weekend definitely seemed busier but if you have an appointment they respected your time and prioritize you. I was fortunate to have Reyna work on me. The women are polite and it's fun listening to the conversations they have with each other and the clients. Very welcoming shop, and just about what you can expect from local hairdressers. The shop is cash only and their prices are reasonable. I was happy to leave extra tip for them! Parking is a bit on the small side as it's shared with other businesses, but you should be able to snag a spot. They do great work on both men and women, and I saw a young teenager walk out with a cut too. LONG POST! But I waited a year to give my honest opinion about Kay's work…read more I've been going to Kay for the past year and I'm so happy I found her! One of the things I appreciate most about Kay is that she actually listens to me. I'm pretty particular about how I want my hair cut, and she takes the time to understand what I'm asking for instead of just doing what she thinks would look best, I do ask for her opinion as well. I always leave feeling like my hair looks and feels like me. We haven't really gotten into coloring my hair just yet, and honestly, I appreciate that even more. I had previously bleached my hair with another hairstylist, and because Kay didn't know exactly what products or processes had been used on my hair before, I didn't want her to just jump into another color treatment. Instead, we've been patiently working on cutting off the previously bleached ends and getting my natural hair healthy again and just toning my hair. Once all of that old bleach is gone and my hair is completely natural, we can finally start working toward the color I want. I really appreciate how honest and careful Kay is with my hair. She's not just trying to do a service and send me on my way -- she actually cares about the long-term health of my hair and making sure we do things the right way. After having a baby and going through all the changes that come with that, having someone I trust with my hair has honestly been such a nice little form of self-care.
