This cute little shop is in the strip mall on the side near In-n-Out, Tenderloin, and Joann Fabric. It has been around for-ev-er. And the reason is that they have repeat business. Jenny is a miracle worker with eyebrows (I love that she fixed mine!) And Lee was fabulous at listening to my hair special needs, and my dream to have a new hair style for the New Year. She rocked with the bangs decision and I can't be happier -- for a small shop, they have regulars, fans, walk-ins, and probably a few like me that remember "ChuCha" from the 1980's. I'm going to drop some prices here, but you have to remember prices change so check the year of this review and give them a call to double check. A haircut only was @ $17, with a blow-dry @$25. My hair has been Brazilianed so I have to be careful when shampooing -- if you have specially processed hair, you might want to bring your own shampoo. If you are in the area and want a tried and true hair place, this would be a good bet. Better a small shop like Hair Personality than a mall place with brand new beauty school grads waiting to practice on your head. read more

I made an appointment and she took me in early so no wait time. Because I was a first time customer I got a discount but without it is still very affordable. Cindy was recommended to me by a coworker of mine and I was so glad to have gone to her. She is so sweet and so understanding about the hair goals I want to make and she doesn't make me feel like I have to pay her an arm and a leg to achieve my desired look. Okay Gary is a color genius!! I am blonde and it's very hard to maintain and keep blonde. Every time I need a tone or want a color change Gary never let's me down. He's a brilliant stylist that really knows what he's doing. Not only is he a bleach king but he can make any color from ombré to blue look amazing! I will start off by saying the "good thing" about this place is that it's cheap compared to most other hair salons. But it says a lot about the quality of their work. I use to get my hair cut here on a regular basis until I went somewhere else and their reaction upon seeing my hair was "who on earth cuts your hair?" I brought my cousin here to have her hair styled for a party. She was going for a braid that goes horizontally across the back of her head. The stylist (Jenny's sister) braided one side of her hair and said that she can't pin it up and left the braid dangling on the side of her cheek. She's the most talented and professional stylists I've ever had and I've followed her around as she's moved around the Southland - even driving to Hermosa Beach when she worked at the Supercuts out there. Cindy is exceptional for three reasons: 1) She has a natural talent for understanding what a client wants and executes it with precision - she used to be one of Supercuts's creative directors teaching students the ins and outs of a great haircut 2) She's consistent - you will get the same haircut and great results every time and 3) She's friendly and puts clients at ease. In fact, Cindy has so many great stories to tell that when I visit, I often don't feel like I'm getting a haircut but rather catching up with an old friend. Cindy has a pretty loyal following and she could easily charge $75-$100 for her haircuts (she's that good!) but instead, offers her customers a $100 look for a fraction of the price. Serein is absolutely the best. She's so nice and so good at what she does. I come all the way from LA because no one does my hair as well as she does. She's a color expert and cuts my hair perfectly. She always listens to what I want and never ends up chopping off more of my hair than I wanted (which is a constant problem with every other hair stylist). I have received hair cuts hair colors and eye brow waxes from Cindy in the past. She has told me about the keratin smoothing treatment. I have naturally very curly hair. I finally decided to get the smoothing treatment. I can't believe how soft my hair is! And after shampooing my hair it is easy to straighten with just a blow dryer. Worst Ever !!!! My daughter and niece went todayvto get their hair Ombre... "Gary " did it ... Omg ..
