Studio MM&B did my makeup (+bridal party, moms, and groom) for my wedding and I cannot recommend them enough! We had a trial session where I met Manning, and she was so warm, chatty, and approachable from the very beginning. The session was lengthy (I think 4 hours?), but it flew by quickly because we were having a nice time. On the actual wedding day, Manning and her team graciously accommodated to the chaos of the situation (I have a toddler at home, and we had just moved to a new house with minimal furniture - and should I mention I accidentally overslept as well??). She also gave my hair the small special touches I didn't know it needed by fashioning a hair piece from some florals I already had at home for my tea ceremony, and also magically produced another beautiful hair piece that would match my bridal dress. She literally saved my hair that day!! My bridal party was very satisfied with their hair & makeup, and everyone's H&M lasted for more than 12 hours on the big day with minimal touch ups. I was given a bridal touch-up kit as well, which was so thoughtful and had everything I needed. I appreciate Manning's detailed makeup and hair technique - she really makes you look like the elevated and best version of you in a very natural way. I'll remember how she patiently added small bunches of fake lashes with artistic care so it looks like I had been blessed with good eyelash genes naturally. That said, if you are into very heavy, dense makeup with giant false lashes that will give the very drastic "before" and "after" look, then this is not for you (but why would you want that for your wedding anyways). During the trial, I did not know exactly how I wanted to look for my wedding, so I showed pictures of inspiration, and Karen had a good idea of what I was going for. She tried two different hairstyles on me and went with a natural makeup look (since I don't usually wear heavy makeup). I am in absolute awe and admiration of Manning and Monica! Monica and her assistants did an amazing job on my bridesmaids, mother-in-law and mommy. My girls looked fantastic during my wedding. I was a bit behind in getting hair + makeup booked and wanted to schedule my trial on the same day as our engagement photo shoot. It's not just that all of their artists paint every gal's faces beautifully, but also that they are all genuine, kind, and professional! It is really about the whole experience and not just the final product. Even the booking process was great. Pam was so responsive and quick to provide feedback with questions and next steps. Everything from start to finish was smooth and simple. Which is so important for a bride amongst all of the other things going on for a wedding. Karen was my main lady, and I'm sure I did not make it easy for her, but she did a beyond amazing job. Talked me through the changes I was requesting and asked me questions to make sure I was comfortable with the look. I was really happy with the final product. I changed my mind from what we did at the trail a couple weeks (or maybe a week heh) before the wedding and Karen was so accommodating and calm to talk me through the changes to make sure I was comfortable with everything. Monica is friendly, professional and prompt in responding to any questions and concerns. After looking at their works from Instagram and website, I decided to book with Manning! Manning is so talented and BEAUTIFUL!!! She was super pleasant to work with and meticulous with everything she did. Before my trial, I was texting with Manning and I sent her some photos of the makeup style I like, she is very professional and knows exactly what I want and was able to achieve the look during the trial. Most importantly, she was able to figure out exactly what would look best for me while incorporating my own ideas. After the trial, I knew makeup is the last thing I need to worry about on my wedding day. Hair and makeup is something I splurged on for my wedding. For me, this is the most important aspect of my wedding. A good makeup just makes everything perfect. On my big day, Manning, Karen and Summer Rose were punctual. Karen did makeup for three of my bridesmaids and two moms. Summer Rose did hair for them. My bridesmaids and my mom are not the easiest people to please but all were extremely satisfied with their work. It made it an easy decision, especially after seeing all their glowing reviews. Manning and her team were amazing, from the initial trial (which I highly recommend investing in!) to the day-of. I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. Manning made me look like the most beautiful version of myself and we had such a fun time getting ready too! The day of the wedding, however, my mother was adamant that she wanted a more romantic, lose curls look. I recently got married and Studio MM&B did such a fantastic job on my wedding day. Three hair & makeup artists came to my house, did hair & makeup for me as well as my entire bridal party and even my mom, and did such a fantastic job on everyone. They really made an effort to get to know what I wanted, and what everyone was comfortable with. Everyone has their own make-up comfort level and they are so good with listening and making everyone happy, while still staying true to what I had requested. Even my mom, who is 65 and never wears makeup, and was extremely nervous about the whole idea of professional makeup, was very happy with her makeup; she looked beautiful and most importantly, she looked like herself -- just a more glowing version of herself. Everyone looked so beautiful, and everyone who has seen my wedding photos has commented on how great the makeup and hair styling was. I also really appreciated the testing process. I went to their studio in Pasadena, and although Monica wasn't the one doing my makeup (she is one of the owners of the company, and originally I was under the impression I'd be getting my makeup done by either her or her partner Manning, based on the yelp reviews), I was more than happy with the team she put together. And I appreciated that she oversaw the entire test, and helped get to the look I wanted. She kept her finger on the pulse of everything that's going on even when she is not the one doing the makeup. That made me feel very comfortable. And Emilie, who did my make up for the test day and on my wedding day, was great to work with. She had a great light touch, listened, and just did a fantastic job.
