I had my brows tatooed (Nano and microblading) 7 weeks ago. After 4 weeks the tatooing began to disappear and today after 7 weeks it is pretty well gone. I went for a consultation with Shaughnessy who is a wonderful artist and my brows were so gorgeous when they first were done. She told me it is typical to have a second treatment and it would be another $300 on top of the $1000 I have already spent. To pay another $300 for unsatisfactory results that were great at the beginning is totally unacceptable. It says the Studio does not stand behind their work and certainly doesn't provide customer satisfaction. I am soooo disappointed - this was my 75th birthday present to myself. I just walked out - So my advice : Beware : Ask what guarantees there are for the work to remain looking good - Surely for $1000, 7 weeks is not adequate! read more

Holy muffins. I'll start with the shop itself - everyone & everything is ridiculously stunning. The artists look like they rule the world. They probably do. Obsessed. Modern minimalistic space with fun statement decor (& extremely clean). Everyone was kind and welcoming. Love this place. I booked a freckle appointment with Lynnea and she was absolutely incredible! She was patient with my many questions, thoroughly walked me through the process, and checked in throughout my appointment to make sure I liked the placement of the freckles. Her passion for her craft really shows. All around intelligent & fantastic. She's worth the drive from the states any day! Thank you, Studio Sashiko! 10/10 recommend. After several (and I do mean SEVERAL) months of fighting for one of the few, coveted spots at Studio Sashiko, I was fortunate enough to get an appointment with one of their very talented artists. I originally, of course, wanted the Brow Queen herself, but saw that everyone she hired was fantastic and I wasn't willing to fight the oh-so-stressful fight that occurs on the 15th of every month for any longer than I already had. Anyway... I book my flight from Miami to Vancouver. I hop on the plane, get delayed, call the studio to let them know my dilemma. They inform me that they are having a very unexpected (and last minute), scheduling issue that was completely out of their control. I was on a plane heading that way and was really worried that I was traveling for no reason, but they quickly got the issue resolved and told me to come in as planned, just a little later in the day. No problem. I land and receive a text saying that I have an appointment with Ms. Shaughnessy Keely: THE BROW QUEEN. I. WAS. ECSTATIC!!!!! Like, happy-dance in the middle of an airport full of angry people that had just missed their connecting flights and stuck-in-Houston overnight happy. I seriously didn't believe that it was going to happen. After so many months of only dreaming to get my eyebrows done by her, trying to conjure up all the ways to bribe her or beg her (which I've totally seen done on Instagram), I just didn't believe it. I had wanted it so badly for so long, it seemed too good to be true. I kept waiting for something to go wrong: Me to get held up at the border, them to have a change of heart, an alien abduction... anything. I didn't believe it until I was actually walking into their gorgeous studio and getting onto Shaughnessy's table. As a former bottle waitress in South Beach, I have met a lot of celebrities. Never once have I been star struck... until I met Shaughnessy. I saw her behind the desk when I first walked in, but I didn't know what to say. Do I look at her? Not look at her? Say hi?? Hands in my pockets or at my sides?? Ok, maybe not that extreme, but you get the gist: I was nervous and giddy. The studio was super-clean and the paperwork was all well written and easy to understand. I was greeted promptly and warmly. Each staff member I came into contact with was very welcoming. Shaughnessy herself is beyond sweet. Not that I imagined her any specific way, but I didn't envision someone so sweet and soft spoken. I was instantly comfortable with her and felt that I could tell her my life story. Of course I trusted her with my brows, but it didn't stop me from asking a million questions; she very patiently answered every one and didn't make me feel like I was annoying her at all. And my brows turned out beyond awesome... obviously. The process wasn't painful in the least, which I wasn't expecting. I know a lot of people are upset about not being able to get an appointment, and I totally get it. The process is very frustrating and the booking system can be a headache. But it seems to me that they are doing the best they can to expand quickly as a small business. They have added multiple new artists, have opened a new location in LA, and have upcoming travel plans. I have also noticed that they have started promoting other artists that they like in various cities so that more people have access to a very desirable service. In addition, I have heard people mention the words "money hungry" in regards to the way Studio Sashiko operates. As a person that has visited the studio and met the owners, I didn't see it. I was treated very well and they seemed quite humble and willing to accommodate me where they were able. I am beyond thrilled and very grateful to have had my eyebrows tattooed at Studio Sashiko and would definitely recommend their services to anyone with the patience to wait for an appointment. Amazing! I went to write a review here and couldn't help but notice, almost every reviewer has a personal story to tell. To me, that speaks for itself about how special this studio actually is. My review is about the beautiful, tender hearted technician Chay Liddell. I had an appointment with Chay that I had scheduled about a month or so ahead of time. I did my research, and I loved her work and thought she would be a good fit with me. On the day of the appointment, I was so excited to be there. I checked in, which was very professional and quick. It says to me they have considered all the small details to ensure a smooth and timely process (all the way down to the cat stickers posted on the walls for you to get great before and after pictures) As things go, life happens, and on the day of my appointment, I was faced with perhaps the most devastating news any person can receive. I sat there in the waiting area taking this call and Chay, who was my technician, approached me with kindness in her eyes and heart, she gave me a hug, knowing that above anything that was what I needed. She asked me if I needed to reschedule, but, I decided to carry on. Throughout the appointment, she listened like a therapist as she worked. She did the most beautiful job on my freckles, I absolutely love them. What she gave me that day was a small piece of light in what was otherwise a very difficult day. It has been over three years, clumps of ink continue to come out of my scar tissue, and I never received any financial compensation for the horrible procedure that didn't work and wasn't researched for scar tissue cover up. The people here are kind, but the fact that I spent $850, to have the procedure not be compatible with scar tissue (a risk I was not warned of, as I was one of the first with scar tissue to be tattooed) and then be completely ignored by this shop with no accountability or concern, is a joke. Transformation Tuesday!! For many years, I have struggled with growing back and having to pencil in my eyebrows due to a choice I made at 19 years old to completely shave off my brows to draw in the look I desired. For the last 2 years, I have been researching microblading, which is a cosmetic tattooing technique used to create individual hair strokes to give a realistic and natural effect. Shaughnessy was in my opinion the best of the best that I had found and through her, I discovered her studio in Canada, dedicated to changing people's lives in a great way. After a solid year and a half of trying to book with her, I finally scored an appointment with one of her colleges that studied under her. I was excited by the talent and attention to detail I found in @chaybrows work and scheduled my first ever microblading eyebrow appointment with her. This past Sunday I flew to Canada for my appointment and couldn't be happier with her as a wonderful person and precise artist. She was patient with my attention to detail and worked with me until we were both super happy with the results. I left Chay and @studiosashiko with a massive smile stuck to my face and I repeated to myself as I drove away, "I have eyebrows!! Amazing eyebrows!" I cannot express my happiness and gratitude that I now get to go to sleep and wake up with these brows on my face, swim in the ocean without feeling self conscious when I come above the surface.... this was a life altering experience, well worth the wait and money. I'm excited to see them fully healed and am forever grateful. Highly Recommend if this is something that speaks to you. P.S. They also recently opened a studio here in LA! (P.P.S.) it's a shame that there are a couple bad reviews on here and I admit that gave me a tiny worry too but I knew better by the amount of time I'd spent trying to find the best and watching their work- EVERY business will have some sort of unhappy customer with the potential fault of each party but that needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Studio Sashiko - Brows by Chay at Studio Sashiko!! - Tattoo Near Me - Langley, British Columbia

Ok, let me first start out by saying I, like many of you reading this review, have been stalking Shaughnessy and Studio Sashiko's Instagrams for quite some time. And I, like many of you, have had my fair share of fails at securing an appointment. However, on the afternoon on April 15, 2015, the powers that be decided "You know what, Nicole? Today is your day." And I was able to secure an appointment. Not only that, but my sister was also able to secure an appointment for the same day, at the same time, with a different artist. Talk about some good luck, ay? So, we immediately booked flights, a rental car, and an AirBnB before I even had my vacation request approved at work (whoops). Coming from Chicago, we decided to fly into Seattle and drive to Langley for the day of our appointments, and spend the rest of the time exploring Seattle, which ended up being a lovely time. Our appointments were on a Thursday, and everything went swimmingly. We were greeted warmly upon checking in and given the release form to sign, which is the exact same one made available on the website for everyones viewing pleasure. Chay came up and introduced herself to me and brought me back. She immediately asked about what I wanted, color, shape, if I had any photos, etc. Then we got right into it! A good amount of time was spent drawing and filling in the ideal shape I wanted. We went back and forth a few times of me looking in the mirror, correcting something, filling in, correcting, etc. If you are like me (passive and hate confrontation), then you will probably feel like you don't want to tell them to change anything they've drawn in for fear of offending the artist or making the artist upset, but that was NOT the case at all. Chay was extremely responsive and was willing to change up anything I wanted, while still making great suggestions to me. When that was finished, she slapped on a ton of numbing cream and that sat for a while. This is where I should let it be known that parking outside of the studio has a 2 hour limit, which means you will probably need to move your car to another spot (i literally moved ours one spot over) some time during your appointment. For me, that was when I have a generous coat of white numbing gel on my eyebrows. No worries, folks - it happens all the time and everyone is used to seeing it, I was assured. The process itself was as smooth as it could be. I hardly felt a thing. There is a slight noise, but it's nothing you can't get used to. Chay went back and forth from one brow to another several times, and would always slap on a little extra numbing cream. If you don't do too well with pain like myself (I have several tattoos but anyone that tells you it doesn't hurt IS A LIAR), be sure to let them know and they can give you a little bit more of that numbing goodness. When we finally got to a good spot, she had me stand up and look in the mirror. I was so pleased, I swear I had tears well up in my eyeballs. I took maybe 5-10 minutes looking in the mirror, having my sister look at them, deciding what we wanted to do, and we ended up adding a little bit more. When all was said and done, i left with the exact brow shape and color I wanted. Of course, if you did your research, you know that it will fade about 30% depending on the person and how well you do at aftercare, but I didn't care. That terrible bald spot underneath my eyebrows has finally been filled in and the joy in my heart restored. Ok, but seriously. It's been about 2 weeks now since my initial appointment, and yes, they have faded from the initial color, but do they still look lovely and filled in? Yes. They flaked a bit, and it looked like everything went away, but again they mention this on their site about how this may happen but to give it a few days as the color tends to resurface, and mine surely has. I cannot wait to see what they look like in the next couple of months and I am so excited to go back for my touch up in August! TL;DR: Finally got an appointment with Chay. Chay is amazing. I spent the better part of two years researching eyebrow microblading. When a friend suggested Studio Sashiko, I could hardly believe such incredible talent was located so close by. I started following Sara Browns on Instagram and immediately loved her work! Our appointment did not disappoint. Sara took so much time with me to explain the process, help me decide on an eyebrow shape and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Her genuine excitement over my "eyebrow transformation" was the best part! She was as blown away by it all as I was...and that added so much positivity to the experience. The Great and Powerful Shaughnessy's work speaks for itself. Outstanding, such a lovely and professional artist/human. I saw her in her old Gastown studio for my original tattoo and first touch up; but I've got white blonde eyebrows and I needed another touch up for added depth, so I had a third appointment at her new studio in Langley. Studio Sashiko was a bit hard to find at first, I don't drive so I relied on transit and it took 2.5+hours to get there... I only allotted for 2 hours, so I was half an hour late for my appointment. I was mortified but Shaughnessy was absolutely lovely about it and so understanding (even though there's no excuse for lateness, kids.) They use Dr. Numb at the studio so the tattoos are relatively painless and her work is worth every penny. She is outstanding and well worth the wait. Just want to give you an update -- after many months of hoping the orange pigment would fade out, I finally gave up and went to an artist for saline removal. It was an invasive and painful process that I wouldn't wish on anyone. My brows look like a hate crime. I'll be locked away in my house for at least a week while they heal. Please, everyone, think long and hard before you get microblading done, here or anywhere else. I went to what seemed the most reputable place, followed the aftercare instructions faithfully, got one touchup from the same artist, and still have this terrible result. Know that a very bad result may be beyond your control. For the record, my removal artist suggested that there was a type of tattoo pigment that was very commonly used in microblading a couple years ago (I got my brows done in '17) that turned into a sort of salmon color as it faded. So I think it's certainly possible that these poor-quality pigments were used on my brows. read more

Wow, so many haters on Yelp! First of all, this is cosmetic surgery, not LIFE OR DEATH. Please keep your perspectives in check. I wanted to make sure to put in a good word for this studio. Yes, they are extremely popular from their Instagram fame, so they are extremely hard to book. Was I frustrated when I thought I had an appointment in my cart, had entered my credit card info, clicked submit only to realize I had lost my appointment when I forgot to check that I acknowledged their terms and conditions? Of course, I was upset. But I kept trying and got myself an appointment the next month. Sometimes appointments get canceled and a stray one shows up... So just keep checking. I took a day off of work to go to the studio to get my brows done by Audrey Glass. The studio is nice and clean. Audrey and the rest of the staff are super friendly! We had a good chat during the two-hour session. She put numbing gel and cream so I hardly felt anything. All I heard was a light shaving sound. I only felt a slight sunburn feeling after the numbing gel and cream wore off. It's been about three weeks since the appointment. Yes, what you see mostly on Instagram is the immediate results after the session, so it's a lot more bold than what it is healed. I'm GLAD it didn't heal that way, because it was too bold for my liking. Skin has flaked off and the color and strokes are still visible. It's more natural and I love them! Their booking system is as fair as it can be. There is no way they can take bookings via phone, as they would spend all day on the phone instead of doing what they're obviously skilled to do! Any communication I've had with Audrey has been responsive and accommodating. They've trained more staff so the chances for appointments are higher. For a account that has been exploding on IG for the last five years, with countless happy customers due to the original artist (Shaughnessy) it did not deliver. First of all, this place is in the boonies (Langley) after driving for over an hour to see my brow lady specialist, she proceeded to do my eyebrows, by freestyling her drawing. We went back and forth so many times as I was not happy with the groucho brows she wanted to give me. Finally we agreed on a shape. After my brows were done, the right one was done well, the left one needed an extra stroke in the upper part and she said I should just see how i feel and that we could put the stroke in the retouch aptm. I paid $700 and left. My retouch aptm approached and I was really looking forward to it as my brows did not take well to her ink and the strokes after they healed were not noticeable. was I thrilled with my new brows? NO was it everything I expected from the IG posts I've sen? NO was this my first time doing this? NO (San Francisco was my original city for my first time getting microblading) were my brows difficult to work with? NOPE, straight forward brows. to my surprise I was informed that my touch up was going to be another $150 EXTRA!!!!! WTF are you out of your minds? So the real cost of brow micro blading is $850 DOLLARS, by a unknown girl who just started doing brows some years ago? fml Maybe 7 years ago, this would have been acceptable, but today in Vancity and all major cities, there are thousands of Asian ladies doing this for half of the price with amazing results. Save your gas, and your money and go see someone else that will give you better results. read more

Shaughnessy is an eyebrow wizard! I have alopecia on my brows so from time to time they fall out and are patchy. I've been self conscious of this for a long time and did years of research and thinking about microblading before finding Studio Sashiko. I feel so lucky that I found them! The procedure was flawless. Shaughnessy was meticulous in designing the best shape and color for me. She checked for my feedback along the way and I never felt rushed. I'm a perfectionist and extremely picky about my brows - and the result has exceeded my expectations. Nobody has noticed they're "fake" and within just a few days I've been told by at least 10 people they want to get them done after seeing mine. In addition, I was nervous going into it (see aforementioned pickiness) and Shaughnessy and her team were all extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. I originally found Shaughnessy from her Instagram in 2014. She blew up on social media and people were flying in from all over the country to meet her. From her Instagram, I could tell she was magical; she could single-handedly transform your face just by giving you the brows you've always wanted. I know there are some reviews out there that are unhappy with their brows, but I think there are multiple things to understand when it comes to a tattoo on your face. Not everyone will heal the same way. The first time I got mine done, mine didn't heal very well and I had to get it touched up. After this touch up though (which is complimentary!), my brows were perfect after they healed. $700+ is a lot of money to spend on tattooing your brows, and I think Shaughnessy definitely understands that - that's why she offers touchups for free until you're happy with it. I just came back from a touch-up a week ago (after a year of no touch ups!) and her studio has now moved to Langley. I had to take time off of work to make the trek out and I had to drive about an hour to get there, but I can still say that it is worth it. Shaughnessy herself is probably the sweetest person I've ever met and she'll spend the time on you to do your brows right - she wouldn't be frustrated or mad if you asked her to revise her brow drawing on you (even though she's pretty damn good at it right from the get-go). What's more amazing is that she has a TON of clients and yet she still managed to remember me and my obsession with working out - I haven't seen her in over a year!! Amazing. I followed Shaughnessy on instagram for a while, but she was fully booked for several months. I noticed once they launched studio sashiko that Audrey was also providing eyebrow services as well, so I decided to go with Audrey. After viewing her past clients in instagram, I was just as impressed, and took the plunge and booked the appointment with Audrey. I can't say enough good things about my experience and result - truly professional. I absolutely love the results. She took her time to make sure that the shape was perfect and talked me through the process the entire time. You don't feel rushed, she makes sure it's perfect before moving on. You're not left wondering what they are doing, so it puts you at ease. She helped me to even out my eyebrows, as one has always been slightly higher than the other (due to a bad eyebrow threading experience from the past). She put on a numbing cream, so you barely feel anything. It just feels like a slight scratching sensation. I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep a couple of times... You get a free touch up after 6 weeks, so you can see the results after it has been healed and make any adjustments if necessary. If you see an appointment available, don't hesitate to book it... I stumbled upon this place on Instagram and I'm so happy that I did. I've been lucky enough to have Jette work on my brows for the last three years and she's an expert! It's been so great to see the evolution of my brows from over plucked, over arched creations to a bolder, more natural look. Based on the success of this place, the women who work here have every reason to be egotistical and pretentious, which sometimes happens when you experience great success, but instead they are humble and totally approachable. I drove all the way up from Seattle, WA to come to studio Sashiko. My best friend got microblading done and I got freckle tattoos. We both loved every minute of it. First of all, their Instagram speaks for itself. They do such amazing work. The studio is so pretty and classy when you walk in. Everyone is friendly (you Canadians are the sweetest!) Jette did my freckles and she is fabulous! She talked with me and I really felt like she listened and worked with what I wanted the end result to look like. She even custom mixed the color so they would match with my skin tone, hair, and other freckles on my body. It didn't hurt at all, only tickled slightly and we were done in 15 minutes. I love them so much!!! My friend got her micro blading done with Savanna who was also wonderful. She was so informative, and also gave my friend exactly the brows she wanted. She wanted subtle and not to bold, something that complimented her existing brows. They looks absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be making a Canadian road trip to Sashiko a yearly endeavor. read more

When I booked my appointment with Chay, the website said $500 + tax (& tip) and the touch up was free, but in tiny letters that prices could change without notice. I show up for my appointment a couple months later, and sure enough touch ups are now $150 + tax/tip. That sucked. During my appointment the original colour picked for my brows appeared brown when Chay wiped it on my forehead, but afterward it was obvious it was basically red . I have dark brown hair. I was reassured that it would darken throughout the healing process. It didn't, it stayed red and mostly disappeared against my skin tone. When I mentioned it during my touch up I was told "well, the artist and the client pick the colour together" basically releasing the artist from responsibility for the poor colour choice and suggesting I picked the wrong colour - I have no experience with tattoos, how am I to know what colour to choose. Finally, during the touch up, a second much darker (and more appropriate) colour was used. After that healing process, I then had hairs that were red, and hairs that were brown. I contacted the studio and they told me that for $250+ tax/tip I could come in for a third appointment. Making my total about $1200 all said and done. After expressing my disappointment, I was offered $150 instead. But in the end, decided to just screw it and buy a new eyebrow pencil to try and cover my mis-matched brows until the colours fade completely rather than take another chance on a process that they can't even guarantee. Sure, their Instagram is great, but buyer beware - sometimes when it's too good to be true, it's not true. On another note, Chay was very friendly and is a nice person to deal with. read more

Terrible customer service, they have become so money hungry and do not care about their customers. I successfully booked an appointment and got my eyebrows tattooed here with the hopes of being able to leave them a 5 star review. Unfortunately, the tattooed eyebrows flaked off my face, completely dissappeared and when I emailed the studio to let them know, they made me wait months for my touch-up even though the artist told me it wouldn't be longer than 6 weeks. I have just gone in for my touch up and it too has flaked off and dissappeared. YIKES. After waiting MONTHS AND MONTHS to be able to book an EXTREMELY overpriced appointment (Shaughnessy has become SO money hungry. I have been following her on Instagram for a LONG time, and things have gone down hill in the past 1+ year.) ATTENTION: The Instagram pictures are from IMMEDIATELY after the procedure. Your brows WILL flake off, become patchy, or completely disappear! You get charged for the touch ups $200 + dollars, and sometimes it takes THREE touch ups. I do not recommend. I've had my eyebrows tattooed twice before I found Shaughnessy's work online. Once was with a lady from Hong Kong, and once was with a woman at Adrenaline Tattoo Shop. Both experiences left my eyebrows lacking and my wallet empty. Needless to say, Shaughnessy has fixed any eyebrow problems I had before. Her talent and work is amazing, and the studio itself is a great place. I absolutely love the decor of the studio, the calm vibe, and the cool little things they sell as well. Shaughnessy has a very gentle touch, which helps with the initial pain of microblading. The first couple strokes are always the worst, but after the numbing cream sets in I usually can't even feel anything and end up falling asleep. I almost knocked over her light fixture yesterday at the end of my appointment because I had a little snooze and woke up forgetting where I was. read more

Wish I could give this place less than one star. Every step of the process is a total scam. 1) Non-refundable deposit, 50% of the price 2) When you walk in the door, they force you to sign a waiver before commencing any work. Note that it's not easy walking away from a 50%, non-refundable deposit...you either sign this waiver or walk away from your hard earned money. The waiver that they get you to sign says that if their work is no good, you have no further recourse. 3) The eyebrows last one week, MAX. The photographs shown on their social media are taken right after the tattooing is done. Mine lasted a week, flaked off and then dissaappeared. 4) If their work doesn't last and you need a follow-up, prepare to wait MONTHS and pay another $275 per touch up. The studio does not stand by their work. They have set up every step of the way in order to take advantage of their customers. What a HUGE disappointment, waste of time and money. I am writing this review about my experience with Shaunessy as well as on behalf of my 2 other girlfriends who had their brows done with Jette and Audrey. I had my brows done last year, and after running into 2 girlfriends I hadnt seen for awhile tell me they had the same experience, I felt compelled to warn others about taking the risk to have your brows done here. First off like many of you, we had been trying to book for over a year and when we finally got an appointment, it felt like we won the lottery. I literally had tears in my eyes because my non existent brows have been a major self esteem issue since I was a teenager and I had been struggling to draw my brows in everyday since I was 12 years old. Shaunessy seemed very sweet and nice and the studio was very clean and well decorated and designed and I felt relaxed being there. Immediatly after, my brows looked amazing, just like in the photos advertised on instagram. That lasted about a week until it all flaked off and left behind a wierd patchy, discoloured mess. I stayed calm and thought its ok.......Shaunessy is THE brow goddess, so I'll just wait for my touchup and trust the process. After touchup, same thing happened but now they look even patchier than before. it didnt even look like hair strokes and some areas almost looked like scar colored. So I contacted her and she told me it was because of my skin and that she would have to charge for the extra touchup. I declined and took the loss feeling sad and hopeless. I went through her whole instagram account trying to look for healed pictures of other girls brows to see how her other work turned out on people with "good skin" and noticed that out of the thousands of pictures of brows she had, there were only a handful of healed brows she showed............jeeeez I wonder why????? Shouldn't there be as many healed pictures as fresh pictures since everyone has to come back for a touchup?????? Interestingly enough, after they faded (thank god they did after months) I went to HK and got an appointment with the brow queen in Asia who posted TONNES of healed pics and had them done with her, worried that the same thing might happen again and it really was my skin and I would just have to live a browless life forever. And guess what, they turned out perfect!!!! So natural, not blotchy at all and looked like real hair !!!! So it wasnt my skin as she claimed it was. It was her technique and/or the pigment she uses. My friend who went to see Audrey said the exact same thing happened to her and now she has to spend more time than before drawing her brows in to cover up the blotchiness. And the girl who went to see Jette said the same thing but hers are super light and she never got to go back for a touchup because Jette had some issue with her working visa and when she asked that perhaps another staff member could just do it, they said no, and did not offer any kind of reimbursent for the unfinished work. In my opinion, studio sashiko is running a major cash grabbing scam and became famous because of good marketing and press, not for real healed results. I see a few other reviews complaining about the same thing, I wonder how many others out there this has happened to??? I noticed that even the few pics of healed work they show isn't even that good compared to the other work I'm now seeing out there. Even the brow artists they advertise and host from other parts of the world show healed pics that are way better. I don't ever bother to write bad reviews, as I only like to send positive energy in the world, but I decided to speak up to help the rest of you from not only wasting time and money, but also to spare yourself from the emotional rollercoaster I've been through dealing with studio sashiko. read more

I thought I find the very good studio to take care my eyebrow . This is my first time and I trust that the guest artist they hired is very good and gentle and knowledgeable.. Unfortunately I felt depressed .. She put a numbing cream and after that she offered me a coffee and after I finish the coffee , she came back and start the procedure at my left brow .. So painful I felt like slashing my eyebrow .. so scary .. I said it's so pain and she put numbing cream again .. She supposed to know how long the numbing cream stay on my brow .. But she start immediately .. No care , I came back and they said no refund . I said I don't need a refund I like to go the touch up to another technician . But they refused .. The owner want me to go back to the same artist that I don't like .. because the touch up is only $ 150.. If you change another artist is much expensive . No consideration .. I hope And pray I can find a studio who is very good and humble , and have a good employee that they hired the best technician .. read more

I've not had the pleasure of getting my brows done by these lovely ladies, as I've been trying for OVER a year and STILL have not received an appointment because of their horrendous booking system. They claim their booking system is "fair" but opening up a service then treating the booking process like a national lottery is NOT fair. I would rather book my appointment months or even a year in advance and have a set date no matter how advanced in the future it is, rather than try my luck at the lotto every month, as it's been well over a year and I've still been unable to get an appointment. Maybe for others this isn't a big deal but for me, having my brows done is something that would change my life entirely (after having lost nearly all of mine except a few random hairs, and needed to spend 40 minutes every day putting them on via makeup). It seems once they gained popularity they felt they didn't have to try to accommodate clients because people will simply flock to them regardless. Very much acting like they are some kind of celebrity. Granted their photographs on Instagram are utterly amazing which is why I've tried to book for such a lengthy time, but it's just been such a disappointment every month. I've had to settle and book with a new permanent makeup artist with good reviews for this Friday so my fingers are crossed I have a good experience. Chay did a great job on my brows. I no longer have to wear makeup and they look very natural. I have received quite a few compliments on my brows and when I tell people they are microbladed they can't believe it. I have fairly oily skin and I have found they aren't fading as quick as I thought they might. I will probably have to get a touch up every 9 months or so maybe depending on how bold I want to keep them. When I first get them done I love them but the next two days I look scary because my brows are almost black. For a few days after your appointment your brows will get even darker and bolder which can look harsh. Don't worry it doesn't stay like that! After they are done healing and peeling they look great. First off I'd like to say I've never been so obsessed with my brows until Shaughnessy tattooed them! They make leaving the house with no make up on acceptable. I had my initial appointment and instantly fell in love! I went for a touch up only because I was feeling bold and wanted to darken my brows. The aftercare instructions were straight forward (aka don't put make up on them!) And they healed beautifully! I would recommend this service and studio to anyone who's interested in getting some brow work done! It was definitely worth the wait! read more

If this rating was based on how sweet Shaughnessy is, it would be a 5, a lovely person! However this rating is based on my brows. They looked great immediately after, but as many other reviews have mentioned after a week, even sticking to the aftercare to a T, they completely flaked off. Now I'm stuck with brows that are even patchier than before having them done ,and what little colour is left has turned into one blur, no strokes are even visible. Same results after my touch up. I brought this up to them they really didn't take any accountability. After talking to many other girls who have had their brows down here, it seems to be the theme. This studio is a fad, Ive had my brows done since with a great Studio in LA (Not Sashiko) and my results were fantastic. Sorry guys :( read more

I had my first session in February with Shaughnessy to cover up an old faded and blueish eyebrow tattoo, done 12+ years ago. My free touch up was less than 3 weeks ago and they're healing quite nicely. I cannot say enough good things about Shaughnessy, Studio Sashiko, the other artists and staff I met during both sessions. Shaughnessy is an extremely talented artist, who's also kind, patient and very down to earth. It's rare to find such skilled people with integrity and a humble attitude, yet they're all there underneath one roof at Studio Sashiko. It took a couple of months to get an appointment because of the amount of other people trying to get one at the same time. However, I had no desire to go elsewhere despite living on the east coast. I only trusted the best of the best with my face. My patience has certainly paid off. I've also been very diligent about following the proper aftercare while my eyebrows heal. You cannot put any cosmetics, soap or sunscreen on the area during the first few weeks or it will interfere with how it heals. Keeping the area clean is crucial but super easy if you use common sense while caring for your skin. If you want beautiful, natural looking brows, go to Studio Sashiko!! This is the first Yelp review I have ever written in my life because I wanted to let others know the truth. I will post pictures in a few weeks after the area heals!!
