After we signed, it all went downhill. Sohbash went silent; when we finally got a hold of him for calls he was checked out. I was anxious that he hadn't looked at any of the planning docs we put together, was nickel & diming us over things he had committed to in the "selling" phase, and didn't answer calls. Instead of helping build out the ceremony, he said "you can just google it" to almost everything we asked for help with. Final straw for me was his performance at our ceremony - despite multiple planning calls and detailed timelines he seemed to be looking at everything for the first time. The background music was so loud I had to ask mid ceremony to turn it down, made hard start/stops instead of transitioning songs on/off, and when the ceremony was over it was completely silent until I motioned to him (from the mandap! at my own wedding!!) to play music. We were 1/3 down the aisle before it started. Our family was so distracted & frustrated they brought it up afterward. Overall I don't know where the good reviews are coming from - presumably friends - but this guy is absolutely not worth the $7k (for one day!!) pricetag or the frustration.

We wanted a photojournalistic style and a few posed family/wedding party pictures using color and black & white shots. We also wanted a photographer who used different lenses and lighting really well because of our outdoor setting. Brian did just this and more. He posed us in front of the bonfire at night, sat us under trees lit with party lights, and used fish-eye/wide angle lenses to gain a different perspective of the whole party. He used all the details the farm had to offer: the porch, the farmhouse, the silo, the lean-to, the wildflowers, the gardens, the bonfire, the lawn, wedding decor, etc. Also, he and his assistant managed to capture some of the sweetest moments that by looking at the candid shot, you can immediately feel the emotion of the moment. We are more than pleased with Brian's work. Planning was efficient and easy! We met with Brian in his studio one time in the Spring and then completed the rest of the planning via email with ease. Timeliness was appreciated! He initiated communication about due payments, planning details, and his ETA on the big day. He and his assistant promptly arrived at the planned time to review the venue which was unfamiliar to him. Brian Morrison is discrete, professional, knowledgeable, efficient, calm, creative, and incredibly reliable. We highly recommend him.

They were really quick to answer all of my concerns. They had some really awesome photographers available for our day. It was a pleasure dealing with this company over email and in person at their office in Schaumburg. They had some good packages and good prices available and the albums looked really cool. I visited their office in Northbrook and was shown to their super cool movie theater room. There Jeff explained the many options for videography and had so many video examples to show. One of the options was a cinema style video, which is basically creating a movie out of someone's bar-mitzvah. The videos were so amazing that I found myself glued to the stories of random 13 year old's special days and when Jeff turned one off after a few min I was bummed I wouldn't find out what happened to Drew! Drew's bar-mitzvah kept me as engaged as some of my favorite TV shows! They also take photo montages to the next level. Jeff showed one example of an art themed bat-mitzvah where the young artist basically walked thru one of her paintings into a gallery of all of her art. I was sold and came home brainstorming many ideas for what we can do for my daughter's montage in a few years. Xpress was the only video production company I looked at and I immediately decided they were the one. Ben was really great to speak to for our first conversation and discovery to understand what we were hoping to have captured throughout our wedding day. Then Bailey took over to coordinate things leading up to the big day and she was speedy to communicate, had suggestions for us on timing and number of hours to purchase, and kept us in the loop on timing for our questionnaire as well as who we would be working with on the day of as our filmmaker. Ian was our lead filmmaker for the day of the event and we could not be more grateful for what we created for us to capture the day. We got the video back in just over 2 months (WOW - so incredibly fast!!!) and watched it the other night for the first time and were blown away with how he captured every moment, our silliness with each other and with our family/friends, how he transitioned from moment to moment to tell the full story and how beautiful the entire video turned out. On the wedding day itself, the team was prompt, easy to communicate with and made it feel like there were not even cameras there. It was so easy for us to just be ourselves and that came through in the final video!
