Great spinning workout in west Nashville. The studio is small and older, but well kept and clean. The location itself is pretty far out in west Nashville, but definitely manageable--especially if you're not attempting it during rush hour. Our instructor was Megan--great energy and led a tough class. She was helpful in adjusting my and my friend's bike, as my friend had never taken a spin class, and it's been years since I had. Overall, a tremendous workout (my heart rate monitor watch says I burned 575 cals!) and a fabulous deal at 5 classes for $25 for new clients! Can't beat that, and I can't wait to go back! read more

Studio51st actually is the best workout studio in Nashville! There are plenty of Barre classes to choose from (Beginner all the way to "you might just vomit" Fire class),Yoga classes, Spin Classes (also includes the Spin Sculpt which is the perfect mix of cardio and abs/arms). They've also introduced this crazy thing called Bounce, where you basically get to jump on your very own trampoline for an hour and call it a workout. You will never get tired or bored of your workout at Studio51st because they have plenty of options for you to mix it up and find something to get you motivated. The owner and instructors have made it so every class feels like you're working out with 12 of friends instead of feeling like you're stuck in a room full of intimidating exercise fiends. By the end of class, each instructor will know your name because they actually care about making sure you're comfortable and are getting the best possible workout. This is hands down the best, most comprehensive, and most sensible workout I have done since being an NCAA athlete. I haven't been this agile or this body strong in years. I am a renowned gym rat amd much more likely to be seen throwing medicine balls than doing tip-toes at a ballet barre, so I was seriously skeptical about attending barre classes. I found my way to BarreAmped and Studio 51st as a "safe" post-partem exercise until I could get back to running. That was a year ago, and I have never looked back. I have still not plateaued, been bored, or stopped sweating. I have also never felt any lowetr back or joint pain -- just sore muscles! I have tried several other known barre studio chains around town while also remaining a member at BarreAmped and never felt adequately challenged. Worse, I never felt particularly welcomed. No other studios I've tried had instructors that are as engaged as the ones at BarreAmped. All of them are extremely well-trained and never stop adjusting your form and technique to ensure that you receive the best workout for your individual body, no matter how many times you've been. The classes always feel very team oriented and organized rather than like a room full of individuals mindlessly doing their workout thing. Highly, highly recommend. read more

Music City Spin Room was AWESOME! This was my (along with the other three in the class) first spin class, and the instructor knew that so she was sure to make sure my bike was perfectly adjusted and that I understood how it worked before the class started. Studio 51st recently changed its name, but I've been going to BarreAmped for over 2 years now. This place is life changing- barre alone tones places that you've never been able to slim before and now that they have added spin and bounce it got even better! Bounce is by far my favorite. You burn calories and tone your body without even noticing it. Sure, your muscles are sore, but you're so concentrated on bouncing and staying on the trampoline that you forget how much pain your in. 20 mins of bounce equals an hour on the treadmill-- can it get any better than that?!
