Our knowledge was admittedly limited before calling, but by the time we finished talking we felt very informed and well versed in the differences of the various machines on the market. In fact after 90 minutes we decided we needed to do more research, and ended the call. Again no pressure was applied. I have to leave a negative review for the unprofessional service and slow response times. The communication is beyond poor and I would recommend to not do business with them. From the start it seems like they will provide good service and take care of their clients. But after they receive your money the service and response time goes down from there. I've been using the very outdated StairMaster 4000 PT for over twenty years, and have kept replacing them with refurbished ones numerous times as they do not make them any longer. The last 4000 PT that I had purchased a few years ago from a different company, was nowhere near close to the performance of the very first one that we had, and far worse than the other, so-so ones that we'd purchased after the original died. So, I finally forced myself to search for a NEW one. The issue was that there aren't any showrooms near where we live, so I'd have to rely on the internet, which was fine since that's how I usually shop anyway. After researching the different types of new StairMasters out there, I decided upon the StairMaster FreeClimber 8 Series with OpenHub LCD. Next, I needed to figure out who to buy it from... I scanned all different sites, but the one that stood out the most was, Total Body Experts, because of how thorough and comprehensive their website was. Without hesitation, I called right away, and even though it was pretty early, here, it's was even earlier where they are, yet they still took my call! That, in and of itself, confirmed my choice of where to purchase from. I spoke to a very enthusiastic person named, Steve, who I could tell off the bat, had a TON of experience and knowledge. It sincerely was a very personable experience and not once did I feel like I was talking to someone who was just processing my order. See, my exercise equipment is very important to me, so I really needed help in making sure I picked out the correct one, especially since it's a new machine that I'm not used to. Steve and I ended up speaking for over two hours, during which I found out he was a Personal Trainer, and he actually assisted me on what I need to do beyond using the StairMaster to step-up my personal fitness journey! That level of care and professionalism is SO rare these days, am I right?! After all was said (we covered EVERYTHING!) and done, I ended up buying TWO StairMaster FreeClimbers 8 Series with OpenHub LCDs... We have a new, second home, and so I just thought to buy an upgraded one for there, but my husband suggested we also replace the sad, old one in our primary residence, too. Uh, I'm not exactly sure why I did not think to purchase an updated machine in one house and not the other, as well! Steve carefully placed both orders, timing their delivery to the two different locations so we'd be there to receive them, which he thankfully mapped out with much thought. I recognize that this is a long review (if you've made it this far, I hope I reassured you to absolutely call Total Body Experts!) however, I really needed to because of the highest quality of aid I had received... It's apparent that Steve does not feel as though it's a just a product that you are buying; he "gets" that pairing the correct piece to their client means so much - come on, don't we all have our favorites even when we go to the gym?! I'll leave you with this...One of my favorite answers to the many that I asked was how many times a year I'll need to service them, to which Steve replied, "You won't need to." This is due to the fact that I'm the only one using it, plus the amount of time I spend on it, of course. But, if ever I have a question, he's a phone call away to assist, and they do have Technicians whom they work with all over the country, if need be. What's better than that?! When I made it to Total Body Expert, they had several different machines by different companies, compact for home use, and regular-size machines for gym use. Exploring the inventory and the whole buying experience with Ahmad was easy. He was very helpful in explaining each Stairmaster to me, the difference between each one, letting me try out each machine to feel the difference, and matched me with a Stairmaster that worked for my small garage gym at a better price than the machine I was originally looking to buy. Unfortunately, when the machine arrived, I was having electrical issues. I emailed the company and sent them pictures and videos of the problems. They responded right away, set up an appointment, came out, fixed my machine, and made sure it was working properly before they left. They delivered me a useless $2,500 metal junk that I cant use. The service department ignores me. I have to email the salesperson and the salesperson has to elevate it to a manager for them to give me a response. and still they have not resolved my problem. I purchased the bike on 12/22/2020 and it arrived on 12/30/2020 broken and missing parts. Also, the box arrived open. I notified them within an hour of receiving it on the damage and sent them many pictures. They created a ticket on 12/30/2020 and said that they will reply within 24 to 48 hours. 1/5/2021 They finally got around to my ticket after I emailed them several times for an update and told me they will check with the logistics department and will contact me once they get an update from them. The shipping service they use, which is a third party vendor, called me that same day and said he will update the service department. No phone calls or emails from Studio cycle / Total body experts to update me, they don't even update the log on the ticket to show any progress. ON 1/7/2021 I emailed them and was ignored again. This has been going on for weeks with them calling me and saying the service department is reviewing the pictures and ordering the parts. I could have purchased a refurbished bike for half the price, but the only reason I chose to buy a new bike is that I was led to believe that I will get to start using it within a week of purchase. As it stands now, I have not heard a sold date of when they will fix the bike, I have not heard any confirmation that parts are ordered for the repair. read more

They just put you on hold and you have to listen to some weird circus music until finally a message comes on telling you to leave your information for a call back. They never pick up the phone as they like to screen their calls. They also claim lifetime warranty but you'll never get it in writing. They're very pushy about getting a review out of you before you've even received your merchandise. Better off buying direct from the manufacturers. The box we received appeared to have been opened. It may have been a return. There was a long list for rules of engagement with the shipping company they used to deliver equipment about wearing a mask, social distancing, and having your own pen. Of course once the delivery person arrived not only was he not wearing a mask and didn't seem to care about it but he was two inches away from my face talking to me meanwhile I was wearing two layered masks. read more

Whatever you do -- DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING HERE Oh my goodness, what a horrific 23 hours it's been since ordering from them. We ordered a spin bike last night after hours on their website. My wife hems and haws about it, and the cost and timing (we are dealing with a cancer/chemo battle right now) and realize it was a mistake and we got over excited about getting something like this and we realize we need to cancel this and reevaluate next year perhaps. I call and start emailing first thing in the AM, before they even open. They want a 20% fee to cancel and cite a rule that "you can only cancel if it's the exact same calendar day". To be clear - our order was placed at night after they closed and we wanted to cancel before they even opened the next day...so it was maybe a live order for 10-12 hours (over night) and they won't budge an inch. Horrific. I just can't even imagine trying to screw current or potential customers out of every possible nickel with obtuse little fine print rules like this. This is not how to be good people or run a great business. Their staff hadn't even made it in to SEE our order in the system before us inquiring to cancel it --- and not an inch of wiggle room. This is how you run a horrible business. Young entrepreneurs please take note. NEVER be like this. I've begged them to ask management/staff for an exception. We are fighting a cancer battle and want to simply cancel/refund our order -- that was only 10-12 hours old at the time. No word yet, but I will absolutely update. Beware! The sales team and customer service reps aren't so transparent here. First off, I explained to the sales rep that I am unable to perform any maintenance/installation due to a hand injury. He reassured me that my new Stages SC3 would require very little assembly. However, after reviewing the user manual, I discovered that the assembly was a little more involved than he led me to believe. Assembly requires a torque wrench to ensure the bolts are tightened to the appropriate tension to mitigate the risk of injury and to prevent any damage to your parts/unit. I tried explaining that to him and he tells me that's just the manufacturer's suggestions and aren't necessarily set in stone. Those "suggestions" were listed in the manual for a reason. Secondly, I was promised that the bike would arrive within 2-3 weeks of purchase but my invoice stated it could take up to 28 business days for the shipment to arrive. I was finally able to reach customer service and they said the shipment was going out Wednesday night. However when I called the freight company for a shipping status Friday morning, they told me the parcel was never picked up and was scheduled for shipment the next morning. I get it things happen that are out of your control and that should have been communicated to me. I had to reschedule meetings twice this week because I was told by customer service that the shipment would be arriving soon and the freight company weren't going to wait for me so I'd be responsible for the freight charges if I miss the delivery. After waiting almost a month for the bike, I decided to just cancel the order and move on to another distributor. The company informed me that I would incur a 25% restocking fee if I cancel the order. How is that fair when the parcel never left the warehouse or facility? So incredibly frustrating. Honestly is the best policy. Thank you for souring this experience for me. read more

This place is a joke. I ordered a bike, sales guy says will ship in 2-4 weeks. A few days after I place the order, I get an email that says it will ship in 14-28 BUSINESS days (that's 3-6 weeks). Business day 28 comes and goes with no word from this company. So I call, they give me a "new" customer service guy, who claims he is working on fixing these issues within the company. He offers me an upgraded bike and a mat and says it will ship in 9 days. Day 9 comes and goes and no word. I email them. I get an email back with tracking info. The tracking number doesn't work. I call the freight company and they say they arrived and had nothing to pick up, so they cancelled the freight. Freight company says there never was a tracking number. THIS COMPANY IS EITHER INCOMPETENT OR STRAIGHT UP SCAMMERS. AVOID THEM LIKE COVID-19!!!!! read more

This company is dishonest and fraudulent. I have been scammed. Do not buy from them. I tried to buy a Keiser m3i stationary bike but got an email after I purchased it that it would not be available for 30 days. I tried to call to cancel the order but it is IMPOSSIBLE to speak with anyone at this company. All calls go to voicemail and all emails go into a black hole. There seems to only be one person, Mariam, working there and she is reportedly too overworked to return your calls in a timely manner. Every single exchange has about a 48hr+ turnaround time on their part. When I finally got through to Mariam, she informed me that there was a 20% cancellation fee unless it was cancelled the day of the order. (Difficult to do considering there is no way to cancel online and no one is available to pick up a call at their company.) This detail is nowhere to be found on the checkout page. Also, why is there a cancellation fee when you don't even have the item in stock to ship? I asked Mariam to speak with her supervisor and she promised to get back to me by end of day tomorrow. Never happened. I left her voicemails. Never returned. These people are selling items they do not possess and charging your credit card immediately. As another reviewer has said, you are essentially giving them a free loan. I will be seeking recourse from my credit card company and I will be reporting these people to the federal trade commission because when a company takes your money and refuses to return it in full while not being able to deliver a product in a reasonable timeframe, that is considered FRAUD. read more

***BUYER BEWARE***  Studiocycles/TBE is the company from HELL!  Bottom line:  Purchased a new $2,600 Stages SC3 bike from Studiocycles/TBE.  Bike was defective or damaged by their installers, but TBE refuses a full refund even though the bike never worked from the get go.  It's been 6 months of torture fighting them. Details follow:  In Jan purchased NEW Stages SC3 bike from TBE. Misled that bike came assembled w/ power meter & console. Not case whatsoever; required careful assembly with specific tools & precision to avoid injury and/or damage to bike. TBE ignored repeated phone calls & texts. Contacted supervisor who after an extended time, arranged for assembly by what was promised to be certified Stages techs. Techs left us a noisy, unsafe bike that we could not use. Called TBE who referred to Stages warranty for defective bike. Weeks turned into months with numerous requests from them for emails, pics, videos to assess case.   Per TBE, it was a requirement to have Stages send expert trusted tech before a refund could be approved.  We fell for the lie and expert tech left bike in worse condition. After 4 months of fighting TBE & loss of use, we gave up and requested to return bike for full refund.  After all these months, in June they disclosed that they will not give us a refund even if the bike never worked from day 1.  The bike was either defective from Stages or ruined by their incompetent installers (they did not even have the correct tools and left the assembly incomplete). We wasted untold hours, days, weeks, and months fighting with their INCOMPETENT and DECEPTIVE staff.  They forced us to agree to another tech coming out (during the pandemic, no less) despite the very real possibility the bike was damaged by the first installers and was now unsafe to ride, under the pretext that Stages had a right to see the bike before issuing a refund.  Still, they refuse issuing a refund, insisting on replacement or return, incurring costly fees where we would lose about half the money we paid. TBE is nonresponsive, dishonest, unethical & lacks integrity. TBE cannot be trusted and we want to sever any relationship with them.  This company is very abusive, unethical, and dishonest.  Once they took our $2,600, there was no way they were going to agree to return it, in spite of never delivering on the product we purchased 6 months ago.  After stringing us along for months, TBE refuses to give us a full refund.  TBE has only provided us with 2 options:  1)  Replace the bike, which we have no interest in doing at this point. TBE cannot be trusted or relied upon and we do not want to continue a relationship where it takes six months to solve a problem ever again.  2)  Return the defective/damaged bike at our our expense, paying for shipping, freight insurance, plus exorbitant restocking fees.  That is also not acceptable whatsoever.  Consumer abuse 100%! Paid $2,620.99; got 6 months stress & frustration for defective product.  Advice:  Don't fall in Studiocyles/TBE's trap!!! read more

Last week (Feb 5,2019) dominique told me that my bike is ready for shipment and should arrive between 5-7 business days. After 8 days of waiting - i reached out to them and asked for a tracking number.... no response. Do not be deceived by the sales people who promises you a superb and smooth transaction by having "an associate keeping you posted" on which phase your order is in- the only time i get an email is if i bug them. Then finally, no reply at all when i asked for a tracking number. They do not keep their word. This review is only for customer service.
