Dr Studley provided one of the best adjustments I've had in maybe a decade. My neck has bone spurs but it does move, and he wasn't afraid to gently move it. Most chiropractors won't touch it for fear of injury, but Dr Studley was skillful enough he was able to provide relief without any adverse affect. Do to a work comp injury to my lower back, I was referred to Dr. Studley; I'm glad that day I chose his clinic and not somewhere else! I walked into his clinic unable to move, walk, constant 9/10 pain. It was Dr. Studley who advocated for me when my work comp doctor didn't want to put me out of work, order any tests, knowing and seeing how much pain I was in. With his help I got to see a different doctor who actually listened and I got to be off of work to actually take care of myself. He's taught me core strengthening exercises to help strengthen my back. He recently explained the findings to my CT that my doctor lacked to explain (he even highlighted problem areas from the images and sent them to me). Dr. Studley is literally the best there is. I have fibromyalgia and have been on an extensive journey to find pain relief (EFF YOU KAISER!). I went to see Dr. Studley in severe pain, about thisclose to going into the emergency room, and after our first visit, I already felt better. The most immediate thing I noticed is that I wasn't as fatigued as I had been before. Fast forward, I went for 2 visits a week for 4 weeks, and I feel better than I have in years. Nothing has given me such effective relief or energy as much as these visits. I get a regular adjustment as well as Active Release Technique. For me, the Active Release Technique is EVERYTHING. Unfortunately, I have state Kaiser health insurance which doesn't cover ART, so I pay $15 co-pay and then $45 for each ART session. However, Martha (front desk) gets me the itemized receipt in a timely manner, and I haven't had any problems getting reimbursed the total $60/visit from ASI Flex. I have never felt pressured to come more often, as Dr. understands it is clearly a financial limitation, otherwise I would be in there probably every 3 weeks, given the frequency of my flares. If you have fibromyalgia or other chronic pain disorder, or even chronic fatigue syndrome, I highly recommend you talk to Dr. Studley. He knows what he's talking about and is never condescending and never pushes you to do more than you are comfortable with. After continued pain from L4-5 disc herniation and immobile hips that kept me from living the active lifestyle that I'm accustomed to, I was referred to Dr. Studley for chiropractic and ART treatments. Prior to my first visit with Dr. Studley I hadn't played basketball in nearly a year and had pain sitting down or bending over to pick things up whether on the floor or a table. Within about 4-5 sessions I noticed a real and positive impact that I hadn't experienced with previous Chiro practitioners. Dr. Studley has helped me over the years. I first came about 4 years ago due to a knee injury I suffered during training for a powerlifting competition. I was popping Motrin and the "other doctor" was contented to have me live like that. I was also undergoing physical therapy but still in pain. I mentioned chiropractic care to the "other doctor" but was told that it wouldn't help me unless I was having back problems. Thus, I went in skeptical about the ability of chiropractic care to really help me. But living in constant pain will drive you to try anything to get some relief. I'm happy to say that Dr. Studley's treatment led to my knees being pain free. I saw him a few times a week for several months and the pain kept getting less and less. Finally, it was gone! I transitioned to seeing him once every month or two for "maintenance." I was living a happy pain free life. I was back to exercising and feeling good. Then a year or so later, I was rear-ended in an auto accident. Of course, Dr. Studley, was my go to guy to get me back on track and pain free again. I really don't know what kind of lifestyle I'd be living if it weren't for his treatments. I certainly wouldn't be working out anymore. I'd probably still be popping Motrins and miserable. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!!!!!! Dr. Studley is a FULLY present, thoughtful, engaged practitioner...rare to find these days. I travel for a living 100% of the time, so I am constantly seeing new Chiropractors. I had the benefit of being able to work with him while in Sacramento for a month. I have been battling extreme pain in my right foot from plantar fasciitis...for 10 months!!! I was walking so gingerly on my right foot, that is was throwing my entire body out of whack! Not to mention the searing, burning pain of the foot, which was working it's way up my leg. I was at the end of my rope, patience, and pain tolerance, having been to a podiatrist, acupuncturists, an MD, many chiropractors, and massage therapists. Acupuncture and massage helped somewhat, but NO ONE gave me a solid diagnosis of plantar fasciitis, with treatment directly for it! (The podiatrist actually told me I had a fallen arch, and there was nothing to do to help it...and prescribed $500 worth of orthotics, that made it worse, even though I broke them in slowly, how you are supposed to do it.) Dr. Studley worked with me on my total alignment, and also the foot problem. Now, I'm in another city, but I am continuing care with a doctor directly referred by Dr. Studley, and I'm actually hopeful for progress, and recovery! The idea of it brings tears to my eyes since it's been so long that I've been in pain. I was referred to Dr. Studley about a year ago by Kelly (the Office Manager) - I mentioned to her I had this clicking in my neck and she told me I should come by and have it checked out. I started seeing Dr. Studley for a shoulder injury that i had suffered from for about a year. I had tried physical therapy and other chiropractors with no success. I was born into a family of hardcore chiropractor skeptics. So it took several years and a lot of discomfort for me to finally decide to seek out help with an on-and-off hip related issue. I found Dr. Studley here on yelp, and after reading all the glowing reviews I went onto his website to fill out an appointment request. I was contacted within minutes by the gal at the front (sorry I forgot her name, but shes awesome), and we set up an appointment within the following week. The office is located in a super cute part of east sac next to mckinley park and parking was a breeze. I was very happy that they had already looked into all my insurance coverage before my appointment so I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. Dr. Studley was very attentive to all of my concerns. He asked a ton of questions and did a bunch of tests on me to really pin-point where the pain was coming from. He went over all my treatment options and helped me understand what my insurance will cover. After I left I got an email from him with a bunch more information on my diagnosis, which I thought was awesome. He also is very mindful of my limited budget and provided me with a ton of homework exercises to do so that I can hopefully alleviate the need to go see him as frequently as I would like (but cannot afford). I saw him today for the first time, and everything about the visit was superb. One thing I really liked about him was that he asked me what adjustments usually bring me relief.
