Love the name of this place, gets me every time. It's a nice open space, and when it's warm out there are some large windows they open up. We went during happy hour, which have great drink specials. For instance a 32 ounce fishbowl for $5 (make it a daiquiri for $6.50)! I ended up ordering a single smurf daiquiri and it was the perfect mini size and was sweet, just $2! The chili cheese fries were amazing, and the trio of Guac, salsa and cheese was good as well. I also ordered the Korean pork taco, and it was a solid choice. When I first entered this establishment I was with my friends and decided to explore the multiple areas they had available. I did not find one fun dancefloor. That's not my qualm, I understand that different people have different vibes and clearly some (younger) folk find their place. Once I reunited with my friends I was having a ball. At approximately 10:53 pm, Miller time struck the clock and I was obligated to purchase the American classic, Miller Lite, for myself and my friends. The bar was extremely busy, and with a background in restaurant service, I was content. Not only that, I struck conversation with an (objectively) attractive male next to me in line. As anyone would in the situation, I inquired to the beauty of his mother, whom he had offered that he had been with earlier in the day. His response (as a 3 month veteran of this establishment) was that he would drag me out back and beat me up. Obviously, I was alarmed and decided to leave the conversation as it was, fearing for my well being, even though this guy (kid) was extremely scrawny and could not have a hope to marr myself nor my friends. Once I had returned to my friends and was feeling more secure, the attack on me proceeded. One worker, whom I had not interacted with ever before, aggressively approached me and pushed me against the door. If I were into that kind of thing, I would have been turned on. However, I am a straight male with confidence issues, so I am indeed not into sadism. Regardless, I was extremely intimated and slightly turned on when this tall attractive male told me I had been disrespectful. I appreciate that he gave me the opportunity to finish my Miller Lite, although he retracted the offer when I asked to clarify if the issue was about me complimenting his partners mother. Additionally, I met a few folk outside who were kicked out for drinking their drinks too quickly for the staff's liking. I mean, really? They're going to charge $5 for a cover in the middle of Nowhere, South Carolina then have the gall to kick people out. Maybe if these inbred (sorry not sorry) mouth breathers could somehow understand their place in the world, which I'm not unsure of their preconditioning to hierarchy, they could learn to take a compliment on their mother as a compliment towards them. Witness a bouncer assault a student Friday night at 12:30am in the entrance line. Grabbed him by the arm, pushed him on the ground then pushed the barricade on him. Someone called 911 but police wouldnt come. The bouncers laughed and cussed at several girls. As a parent it was scary watching them get away with this behavior. They were also getting covers fees before checking Id's then turning them away before entering. I'm sure they and the owner think it's hilarious, spoiled drunk kids. read more

Bouncer kicked me out of the line right before I was about to pay the cover for me and 5 of my friends for literally no reason. He refused to tell me what I had done wrong to warrant an expulsion from the establishment. He just told me to "get out of line" and that I "wouldn't be getting in tonight." I wasn't belligerent. I hadn't even been drinking that night before this occurred. I'm a grad student from Greenville and this was my first trip to Clemson. Terrible experience to drive all that way for nothing. This is a very rare post for me. I've always been one who practices if you can't say something nice,say nothing at all. There is always an exception and I'm using it now. We came to this place, recommended by a Clemson student. We were greeted right away by our server and she was very nice, attentive and fast!!! We started with cocktails and an app..we got the trio of salsa, guacamole and cheese,it was good!! We then ordered the tiger bites..they were fantastic!! Eventually ordered the cauliflower taco , finished and got our check...I know you are thinking it all sounds great right now..but let me continue...got our check and noticed pretty quick that the math didn't add up. We compared the price to the menu and found we were overcharged...I approached the server and she told me that we had "Game day" pricing,so I asked to see the menu,that the menu we were given did not mention or reflect this so called game day revision. She was very polite and said I'd have to speak with the manager... ( Here is where my one star comes in) The manager refused to see me. He left this poor server all alone with one very upset customer. It wasn't the small amount of money on my part,it was the fact that this so called manager refused to see me and that he's intentionally gouging the students who we packed in there, pretty clueless they are being taken advantage of, simply having fun. I walked out before I could even get a drink. Once we got our waters, we were completely ignored. We had to actually grab someone's attention to even get a menu and we waited for 5 more minutes before we got fed up. My travel partner only got one drink which was strong. He got fed up with the wait too. One female server stood there like a prop, one just walked around, not even giving us the time of day (even me looking at her waving hi didn't ring a bell), and a guy literally focused all his attention to his friends to the left of the bar. Came down to visit my younger sibling here at Clemson and was appalled by how disrespectful the bouncers on the night of 3/12/22 were. They physically harrassed us (in places they never should have touched) and denied entry even though we were well over age, until we had to get a cop involved to let us in. The bouncers also told us "You are not getting in here looking like that" as we were wearing sweatpants because we had just changed after being out all day. Love this place! I would recommend it to anyone stopping through town. The wait staff is friendly and I love the array of local live music they bring in. Terrible service. We arrived at 12:19, ordered food, received chips within 15 minutes. Our meals, which were hamburgers did not arrive. At 13:10 we mentioned that we had somewhere to be at 13:30 and we needed the burgers "to go." We gave our CC and they rang up the meal but still no burgers. At 13:20 we stated we needed to go and forget the burgers and they needed to take the burgers off the tab. They rang up the chips (which was on the original bill) and did not know how to remove the original bill from our CC so they gave us cash instead. Literally the worst service I have ever had at a bar in downtown Clemson (and I have lived here for nearly 15 years). Its a gorgeous space, didn't get to see the upstairs patio, it was closed for a private event. Went there last Thursday for a coworkers 21st b-day. They were having trivia night, but only about 60% tables were full. Took about 10mins of our table sitting down, and then another 5-10 of standing at the bar to get one of the "waitresses" attention. Finally got someone to give us menus, that were issued with this disclaimer..."We have no salads, no build your own bowl, and no rice, but its not really that good anyways." The tacos that I got were decent, and the girl that ran our food out was 1000x a better server than the wanna-be Kristen from Vanderpump Rules chick that was our waitress. The big tower drinks were cool and one of a kind in downtown Clemson. Likely this bar will closed within 6 months if it doesn't get better management. read more

Tonight me and my boyfriend waited in a 30 minute line to get into study hall. When we got to the front they were charging a $5 cover charge. Weird for them, but whatever I handed the guy a $10 bill for the both of us. He scanned my ID and let me go. He did however stop my black boyfriend and ask for a student ID. Nowhere online or anywhere else does it say you're required to be a student to enter. When I argued and said he didn't ask me for a student ID, which I don't have because I'm not a student either, he started talking about their "dress code" that he didn't meet. Again, NOWHERE can I find a dress code, but my boyfriend was in plaid shorts and a pink hoodie. I was practically naked... honestly I think they wanted to be racist and nasty, but whatever because I can't "prove" it. Fuck study hall. Their bouncers take bribes all the time. Visiting out of town and stopped by Friday evening (9/15) for some late night dancing and drinks. The venue gets 5 stars and the drinks were good, but nothing to go back for. The real issue was the terrible DJ. He was lazy and had absolutely no stage presence. When we arrived he was flirting with a girl on stage letting her play around and completely oblivious. When she left the stage he pulled out his phone and began to text. Clemson has a serious lack of bars to dance at and this is just furthering the case. Get a great DJ and you could have the place packed every weekend with people who want to groove out. Help solve all of the awkward circles of people staring questioningly at the oblivious DJ. Driving through and decided to check out the Clemson area. Sunny side up cafe was packed so we decided to try out this place as they advertised brunch. I wish we would have just went to Waffle House. The place looks pretty nice but everything else was below average. The brunch menu was minimal with mostly breakfast burritos, we ordered 2 and they were tiny and came out on a large platter type plate that was empty. At least serve some chips and salsa to fill the plate. The paper menu had food all over it and a few misspelled words which should have been a sign. The only bright spot to the meal was the bloody marry. This seems more like a college bar that should stick to the booze and not food. read more

Save Yourself! Let's start with the pros. If it's a nice day the windows are open and it's a great place to sit and enjoy the day. 5 of us ordered tacos and it took 50 minutes. Don't bother ordering corn tortillas because they don't cook them, so as soon as you pick up the taco it all falls apart. Their tea isn't fresh brewed.
