What do you get when you mix a neighborhood dive bar, with awesome wings, good energy, fun staff, karaoke, balanced drinks and football paraphernalia? You get Tip It Back. My first time visiting Greenville and my partner is a huge Steeler's fan and go figure a local Steeler's bar that feels like it was airlifted right out of Pittsburgh (from personal experience) lol. The bartenders, waitresses I swear gave me all of the local vibes although I talked to a few and they're not lol. The wings are really really good and you can't come here without trying them. I'm honestly looking forward to coming back and seeing how this bar jumps during football season. As a long time Green Bay Packer fan, I was so surprised to see that they had a small select few Packer items located around the bar. It's like an Easter egg hunt and I think I found 3 lol. Funny thing is, a gentlemen walked in and had on a Packer hat so I can wait to come back in full gear but let's not over look that this is an official Steeler's bar. I didn't see any Panther's so that was pretty funny. Bottom line is, Tip It Back is a really cool spot and has the traditional dive bar feel. None of that foo foo craps, good beer, good wings, come as you are, Cheers where everybody knows your name kinda vibe. Come check em out, okay some pool or shoot some deer. You'll feel at home here. Good crowd in there on a week night. Seemed to be a local hangout, felt like everyone knew each other. TV's had sports on all around the place which was great. Bartender was great and very attentive. Had wings that were awesome. Will definitely be going back next time I am in town. read more

My wife and I have been searching for a place to watch NFL games for awhile. We were planning on trying out Raffertys, but it had a fire and is now closed for awhile. We've tried a bunch of other places, my wife can be pretty picky when it comes to food. We decided we would try "Tip it Back" off pellum. We read some of the reviews and they were okay. Now that were here I'm pleasantly surprised. They have a good selection of beers on tap, and lots of bucket specials. The food is good, my wife even said her burger, the provolone and mushroom was on her top list of burgers ever. There was ample seating, and the staff were helpful and attentive. We will be coming back to watch games here. If only they were a Broncos bar and not a Steelers, then everything would be perfect. I need a quick edit to this post, so we waited a bit for our food. I'm pretty patient. My wife's food wasnt what she ordered, so they re did the whole order, mine was perfect and delicious. When my wife's burger came, it was correct and you can see above it's in her top list of burgers, which is a win for me. We just asked for the check and they told us no charge for the whole order. They are not friendly. The worse bar in town. Waitresses are very rude and mean to clientele. Lousy food, lousy entertainment.

The server/ waitress with bleach blonde hair and crazy eye liner was insanely rude to me. I'm done with this bar!

We were enjoying a few drinks at tip it back with some coworkers, we were having a great time, until a couple hours into ordering the waitress comes up to my boyfriend and starts being insanely rude and loud asking him why he never left a tip, in front of everyone! Proclaiming she only makes 2.50 cents an hour and that every time he is in he never tips. She was insanely loud and rude!!! AND, this was his SECOND time ever being in, she was making it out to be like he is a regular and never leaves a tip for her. and we were not even done ordering or done with our time in tip It back, we had planned on staying longer as we were having such a good time w friends. I was absolutely appalled, as I also work in the service industry and rely on tips to make ends meet. I have never ever publicly embarrassed customers or called them out on not tipping. It was insanely unprofessional and I will never be back. Unbeknownst to her we were going to leave a very nice tip in cash when we were through with our meals and drinks, I don't care if we were regular customers or not you do not publicly shame paying customers in front of everyone in the establishment. Completely unprofessional and this was the first time this has ever happened to me or anyone else in the service industry. very rude older lady with weird black eyeliner on her eyes, if you eat there and get her as your waitress you better leave a 100 dollar tip or she will publicly shame you!!! I will not be back. Also after this confrontation I tried calling to get in touch with the manager, I was told her name was Bethany, and she wouldn't be in until the next day at noon. Definitely a locals bar and it gets lots of service industry. They serve food late and usually try to keep the fryer on almost till closing time. The bartenders are always happy to see you even if you show up late. Definitely recommend the philly and fried Mac and cheese bites. I can't remember what day but they do have karaoke just Incase you want to avoid those days like I do. read more

Finally found a Steelers bar. Good beer and food. Little hole in the wall with lots of TVs for sports.

Bartender (Carla?) loud and obnoxious. Throws glass beer bottles in teach loudly and calls across the bar at people for drinks. Not a high end bar tender. Not very relaxing. Food was decent and prices are ok. Seems like only locals in bar. Probably not going back. read more

Great place to listen to live music, have a few drinks and some good eats. I have been twice and both times the service and atmosphere were both excellent. The owners make it a point to talk to you and that is a difference maker every time. The only drawback is they have no regular chairs, only high chairs but that's just nitpicking. read more

Worst service I've ever experienced. The girl (Jenna?) that initially served us was decent. Unfortunately she left and we were stuck with Amber. She walked right by, looking at my empty glass multiple times. Halfway through my meal she finally asked if she could get me another. She took my glass, never to return. I waved at her once, she looked at me, rolled her eyes and looked away. At the soonest opportunity I requested my check. The second beer had been added. When I informed her she never brought it she didn't even apologize. I've worked in the service industry, no excuse. Only 2nd time in my life I didn't tip. Won't be returning. read more

the bartenders are the most redneck, low class in the service industry. they yell across the bar, use profanity, spend more time outside smoking. always unprepared, running out of food and out of drinks. the owners seem like decent people and for them to run such a place is surprising. the patrons are getting worse by the week and this is largely due to the staff. i would not recommend this local bar to anyone for any reason. read more
