Oy!!! Stopped in for a drink after touring Clemson with our soon to be high school Senior. My husband and I ordered a draft beer. He ordered an IPA...just fine. I ordered the White Zombie and it was horrendous! I was able to get a different draft beer but felt as though I was an inconvenience for an error on their part (or the keg's)! We did not have a good experience here. The food was dry and has little taste. The drinks were watered down. The service was fine but we noticed that students were coming in to drink and weren't being carded. The students were extremely loud and obviously intoxicated, so that it was difficult to hear the individuals at our table. I do not recommend this establishment. Comment to the owner's response: Friends invited us out, we did not know we were going to your establishment or we would have told them there are actually excellent places to eat at Clemson. Yes, we were at Itsurweiner both times and have no bias against anyone. We did bring the intoxicated students to the bartender's attention (both times). The reason the reviews are similar is simply because the food was not good and there were students who were visibly drunk both times. The first time we were there, we did ask for our money back and were told no. In the first review the students were drinking copious amounts of shots, we thought they were called litchers. If we misspoke regarding the name of the shots, it was simply an error. Additionally, what does it matter what day I posted this? You can be angry at our review, but both were honest. You mention that students are carded. Perhaps sometimes that is true. However, both evenings we were there, we didn't see one student carded. read more

I was very impressed by Amanda who greeted me as I walked into the restaurant. She asked me if I had been here before and I hadn't. Since it was my first time, she explained the menu and that I can order my meal preference with Holly. Holly was so friendly and gave me great service!!! The chicken is skinny and the waffles taste like powder. Definitely do not recommend the chicken and waffles at all. Fried pickles and Mushroom burger were alright. I came here with my husband and two daughters at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon. No one was there, but they said it would be about 15/20 minutes for the food to be done. That's fine, they had board games to keep us occupied. Our food was finally ready at 5:10 and I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately it was some of the worst food I've had. Everything was burned. I ordered the 5 piece grilled tenders (for $6.99 not including a side or drink) and I received three and a half of the smallest (burned) chicken pieces I've seen. My daughters burger would have been excellent if it wasn't burned to a crisp either. The fries where overcooked and could use more salt or a spice to kick them up a notch. While we enjoyed the laid back, college atmosphere, they should be embarrassed about their high priced, burned food. read more

When going to a restaurant/bar in a college town, you don't necessarily walk in with high hopes. That being said, 4.2 stars on Yelp was an encouragement for me to give it a try. My friend and I and our teenage daughters arrived around 5:20. We were barely greeted by the person behind the bar who said "do you want food, or just drinks?" When we replied "food" she just pointed around the bar to a register where we should order. No one was behind the register at the time so we walked up not quite sure what to do. We passed a table with 4 people sitting and one person sitting at the bar. Other than that, the entire place was empty. While standing at the register, the person sitting behind us at the bar was vaping (inside). An annoyance, but not a major issue since we had planned on sitting farther away. We waited a minute and someone came to take our order. At that point, the person vaping got up, and went into the kitchen to cook our food. Our order was uncomplicated. 2 cheeseburgers, 1 hamburger, a basket of fries, and a pretzel. The order took 25 minutes to cook. The burgers were completely charred and the pretzel was awful. The fries tasted (and felt) like reheated old fries. While we were eating the four people seated at the other table kept getting up and going into the kitchen (obviously, other employees). The service was slow, the food was horrid and the entire experience was weird. We will never go back and would encourage anyone else to use caution when considering dining here. read more

We stopped by just after touring Clemson University and wanted to grab a bite to eat before hitting the road. We were the only people in the place, but the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Very simple set up where you order your food, it comes out and then you tell them what you want on your hotdogs and they "load it up" based on what you choose. The choices of topping had a lot of variety, several different types of cheeses, peppers, chili's, onions, etc. We all ordered hot dogs and enjoyed them quite a bit. Stopped by for a late lunch with friends. The restaurant is quite spacious with a 20+ seat bar. We ordered some Portabella Mushroom burgers and fried pickles. We spent the time waiting for our food to decide from the extensive list of toppings you can get on your sandwich/Weiner. I took a Greek direction and my friends got some more of the eccentric items like mash potatoes. The food was quite good my only complaint being the low quality bread it came on. I can get a better hot dog at Sonic; the concept isn't going to work if you get more people in there than what was there tonight; you can't hear your number being called; the guy is afraid to speak up when calling out the number; the toppings were barely there; at Sonic they are over-flowing here it was all bun...and a jumbo was to me the same size as a regular dog; the rib eye sandwich should have been cut up, it was all gristle which is known for a rib eye so that is why it should have been cut up; fries were horrible so under cooked and soggy; and drinks served in plastic only cups; really how about some adult sized drinks here; not kid sized drinks; our bartender said she would let the kitchen know about our disappointment when she should have went and got the owner/manager since he was there, this place is just another disappointment to the food scene here in Clemson... read more

Awesome idea and love the name. :) Straight forward menu that's pretty easy to follow. Jumbo dog and brat were really tasty and the fries were the best - would make awesome "drunk food". The breading on the corn dog was amazing! Watch out for the onion loaf - it was good (though a little greasy), but it's huge and was way too much for two adults and two kids. The ribeye sandwich left a little to be desired. It was a straight up steak on a bun. The steak was well cooked and tasted great, but it wasn't something you could dig into without a fork and knife. Would have been killer if, after cooking the steak, they shredded it or something so it could be easily eaten in a bun. Fried oreos for desert ... best fried Oreos we've had. Novel idea; marginal execution. Came here for supper on a week night. I had a bratwurst and sweet potato fries and my son had a hot dog and chips. We each got a bottle drink and the total was just under $25 (pretty steep if you ask me). After nearly 20 minutes of waiting, our food was finally ready. And while they do have a TON of free 'extras' to put on the dogs, you are not able to serve yourself and I found that they were skimpy on what they gave you. The bratwurst was really good and while the sweet potato fries didn't present well, they had a great flavor. The house chips were crispy, but lacked flavor. And the hot dog was average. Another reviewer commented on the poor quality of bread and I had a similar experience. The two halves of the hot dog bun came apart as soon as I tried to pick it up and everything fell out.
