Charleston Sports Pub is a solid spot in downtown Clemson. The vibe is fairly clean, and the staff was pretty nice during my visit. That said, I have to be honest -- the smash burger was mid. It wasn't bad, but it definitely didn't feel worth the price. For what you pay, I expected a little more flavor and overall quality. The fries came in smaller portions, but they were actually pretty good -- crispy and well cooked. One downside was the wait time. The food took a good amount of time to come out, even though there were only two other groups in the restaurant. The place isn't bad by any means, but I do feel like there are better options in the area. Walk-On's right down the road is one I'd probably choose over it. read more

Server was not very attentive, and had an attitude. Food was just ok. Biscuits and gravy should have gravy covering the biscuits, not half the biscuits. Serves breakfast but no jelly, no syrup for pancakes. Menu prices outside say one thing. The menu in the restaurant prices are $1-2 more than outside and then when you get the bill they are $2 more than the menu inside. They have unlimited mimosas from11-1 on menu but don't offer that instead you get a carafe that's on the menu for $20 and they charge on the bill $25. read more

This place is a great place to watch sports with multiple TVs surrounding the inside seating area. It's located in downtown Clemson, so put your name in with the host and go do some shopping while you wait. They'll call you when your table is ready. Delicious food and attentive staff. Only complaints are that the game day menu is very restricted and contributes to be restricted the day after (you can still get a lot of very good things but my favorite burger and the entirety of the salads are unavailable). Also the games are sometimes played at a frankly insane volume that makes it difficult to focus on literally anything else, but I know some people like that kind of atmosphere. Best burgers in Clemson and very nice decor and, when no game is on, excellent music selection (lots of 2010s party music). I highly recommend going on any day that isn't game day read more

We waited nearly 2 hours for food that never came, gave up, and we left hungry. Unacceptable!

Came for lunch and drinks on a Friday afternoon. Inside was empty and outside there were five tables. Nobody gave us menus (we retrieved them ourselves). After 15 minutes, a server took our drink and food order. My beer came out quickly, but my wife's cocktail took another 15 mins. Food took 45 mins (BLT salad and two tacos). Our server delivered the food without any utensils or napkins so we had to head inside and get them from the bartender. The food was OK but it didn't make up for the atrocious service. A table of three next to us said their food took an hour, and a second beer they ordered when their food came out, never arrived. This lack of attention to service here is well known - hasn't Perry the owner instill a new training regimen? I know the slow service on Friday was not a staffing problem - for the five outdoor tables there were three servers and a bartender. I have no idea about the kitchen staff but that may have contributed to the wait for food. But the servers just didn't seem to care. Another example - after the table of three left, their server began bussing the table but ended up taking just one plate, leaving the other two plates of leftover food to bake in the sun right next to us until we left 20 minutes later. read more

Charleston Sports Bar is what was formerly known as Wingin It. It's pretty much the same place- a sports bar with wings, burgers, and beer with a different menu and name. We came here after a Clemson game and we enjoyed some food and beers. The service was good, especially for how busy they were, and we had a good time! They have a good selection of yummy shareable apps! We ordered the Loaded Bird Dog Fries, which were huge and delicious! The fries were cooked well and topped with fried chicken, honey mustard, and cheese. How can you beat that? Delish! Of course, they have a full bar and it can get pretty rowdy on game days. But overall, it is a fun place to enjoy some good pub food, drinks, and football! read more

Don't waste your time to going to this restaurant. It's a college town so they're mainly just concerned with beer and alcohol sales. The waiter kept coming out and telling us that they were out of things we tried to order. We ordered the pretzel it came out cold. They did take it off our bill. We went there specifically for the classic burger with the jam on it. We even asked for extra jam The burgers were undercooked and they brought them out without the jam. They then told us that they were out of that also. The manager came out and didn't seem very concerned. Visited during Covid,restaurant was completely dead. Typical barfood. The service was poor for there to be zero patrons in the establishment. This appears to be more of a club/bar in the evening then a restaurant. Ordered loaded fries with ranch. Portion was very large Or an appetizer. A solid 3 stars. Bar was clean, service was great but when it came to food we were disappointed. I had wings and could not finish them since the meat had a weird taste. They were either old or from some unknown china factory source . My BF had a burger and it was just "OK". The best from the food was their house "ketchup ". It was delicious and i killed my hunger by eating french fries with it :) I guess they try to convert this place to the night club later at night and the DJ start playing at the front of the bar around 10PM. I love what they did with the place and how they changed things up and made it their own. So the atmosphere is something nee to Clemson. As for the food, I can't say the same. Started off with a salad as an appetizer. We ordered the large salad, yet it looked like the portion size of a side salad. We mentioned this to the manager and they immediately fixed it, he didn't look too happy with it when he saw the plate and I'm sure he was unhappy with the staff. When it came time for the entrees I ordered wings and they were okay. The lemon pepper wasn't much of a lemon pepper flavor and the spicy option was not spicy at all and the flavor seemed off honestly. Fried pickles are crisp, salty and not too oily with a tasty zesty ranch and the truffle fries are VERY garlic forward, crispy but a little heavy on the truffle oil. The BTL salad with Grilled Chicken is that great example of "I want to be a little healthy, but I still want bacon and fried tomatoes. " NO REGRETS! We also had the Philly Cheesesteak Quesadilla which was stuffed filled of yum! Only downside was how oily it was.
