Loved loved our lunch at Sturgis! We were lucky because the weather was perfect, so we sat outside on the patio to enjoy the beautiful views and breeze. The inside and outside are dog-friendly, so bring your furbabies. There is also an outdoor water station. I put a card in with a server, was given menus, and then we found the perfect spot outside. There is a huge yard with lots of seating under the covered patio. There is also an uncovered seating area. The bar and tables inside are very unique and some of the coolest I have ever seen in a restaurant. I got a flight (four beers), but it was really hard to decide on only four. I wish we could have stayed longer so I could try more. I went with the Black Hills Blonde, Exit 32, Sturgisweiss, and Pioneer Porter. My flavorite was... Black Hills or Exit with Pioneer in a close third. They were all very good. We shared the BLT with a side of slaw and the Coconut Shrimp with tots. Another thing that made me so happy was that when I asked for a side of ranch, I was given a bottle! The favs of the meal were the BLT, which had very yummy crispy bacon, and the tots dipped in ranch. I could have sat there all day moving in and out of the sun, sipping on beers. read more

Love the atmosphere and great beer. The pioneer nutty ale is my favorite. The food and service is good as well. One of my favorite places to eat in the area. The place is pretty cool with outside covered eating area and a gift shop loaded with great accouterments. Yes, accouterments. I said it. Try the pizza if you like thin crust. Very good. The pizza's are like a thin crust flatbread size. Good for single or 2 people. Delish!! The French dip... sooo good. Their au jus is rich in flavors & the meat is really tender. Beers... white knight & deadman mountain are amazing!!! And, best of all, the service as outstanding, despite being busy during rally. Cute, HUGE place. We went on a Saturday night at about 5:30/6pm and it wasn't too bad, definitely got busy at 6:45pm though. Nice outside area with games for kids. The place is also dog friendly, as long as the dog is on a leash. Love the vibe here. It's not a typical biker bar which is what I feel like most of Sturgis is. I love a place that offers a beer flight, which was what I got. I took a picture of the ones that aren't typically on the menu. I got a burger. It was good. No frills about it, very basic, but it WAS served with thick, fresh cuts of lettuce, tomato and onion, yum. The onion rings ripped up my mouth. So if those are the type of rings you like (no judgement from me, everyone's different) then you will love these. The flavor wasn't bad at all, just a little too rough on my girly mouth. Side salad was so good. Service was awesome as long as you got there before it got slammed. Everyone that worked there was very nice. I want to come back because my husband informed me the Rocky Mountain Oysters are actually bull testicles! I did not have a clue. The atmosphere, food and everything but the waitstaff are great. I really like to point out when people do well because it is not often enough. However today was completely unacceptable. I don't know if this our waitresses 1st job or possibly a family member of someone at the establishment. She did not return to our table at all until we had to go ask the bartender for refills and another food order. The bartenders also seamed a little annoyed that I even made mention of it. No apologies or anything that would lead me to believe that they strive to provide better service. I would like to comeback because I live locally but it's turning into a big negative. Food was good, I had my heart set on the Ruben however that was not available, we had burgers good but the meat got a bit lost in the bun, smaller than expected. Maybe better as a slider. This is a beer review... I live in Phoenix, Arizona and fancy myself a bit of a craft beer connoisseur. I worked for years at a craft beer forward restaurant in Minneapolis 10-15 years ago when the real "boom" was happening. Ever since moving to the desert it's been hard to find quality sours (weird, you'd think these dummies would figure out that being IPA heavy isn't the greatest strategy when it's 110 out)... Anyway, I found your Huckleberry Sour and WOW is it amazing. I took a flier on it at the most random/beat-up corner liquor store too. So funny. And so glad I did. We steered clear of this place when we first got to Sturgis because we thought it might be more of a drinking spot than a family friendly place. Today is our last day in Sturgis and decided to give it a try considering every place around here is basically a drinking spot lol. The waitress was awesome! She even laughed at grandpa's passive aggressive jokes. She was attentive, friendly, and polite. The food was really good! I had the BBQ wings and sweet potato fries (no pics) and they were great! The honey BBQ wings tasted like Asian food to me, also pretty good! The Rocky Mountain oysters were ordered and approved by husband. The flatbread pizza was also approved by my son. Great experience. They were very attentive and the food was good. We had gone to a restaurant downtown but never was served, so we got up and left. We then went here to Sturgis Brewing Co. We were greeted at the door, seated and had our drinks within minutes. My wife had the chicken wrap special and said it was excellent. I had the fish (cod) basket and it was good. The environment was nice and clean. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. We would definitely return. read more

It was NOT busy only a few people in there. Took 25 minutes to get waited on. We ordered sodas after we got them, 5 minutes later Took our order. We drove quite a distance to eat here because I wanted Mountain Oysters. We ordered them, crab stuffed mushrooms and chicken wings. The food was cold. Mushrooms cold not so good. The 'crab" tasted and looked like minced salad. Never seen the server again until it was time to pay. He was pleasant. It was definitely a HUGE disappointment. Would NOT recommend. I have been here twice. Excellent ambience if you like motorcycles and craft beer. It was slow for a Saturday afternoon but we were there out of season. I always go with the Big f-ing pretzel. We added garlic butter, spicy mustard and cheese dip, it's delicious. The girlfriend ordered the cheese steak sandwich. I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich. Both were very delicious and full of flavor. The staff was awesome and knew their beers. I ordered the Nutty Pioneer Porter. If you like dark beers it was smooth and delicious. I love coming here when I'm in the Black Hills on my way to Spearfish Canyon. I suggest adding to your pit stops. read more

Stopped here for lunch. It was quiet but the big motorcycle fest had finished a couple of weeks before. I got a veggie pizza and my wife got the Polish sausage with onion rings. The food was good, better than we expected. We loved the service. Our waitress helped me pick out a beer based on what was available and what I usually like. Server tried. Offered a free beer each for the first delay. After second crispy burger she offered a free beer. BUT....the check only reflected a 10% discount $6.60 which is less than the price of 1 beer for 1 person. After 2 hours just didn't want to have to track her down to make it right. Disappointed. Bar food but... that's what we were in the mood for. And... it was great. Fried Onion Rings were fresh and crisp. My wife ordered the small order of wings and they gave her an extra wing. I had a chicken salad and it was excellent. The pineapple cider was very good. But the absolute best part of the whole experience was our server, Grace. Took a star off because the wait staff messed up our ticket (they added some of our items to another table a few tables away and the other table caught it because they cashed out first) and they seemed rather upset with us and the other table but it wasn't either of our fault. Also, their merchandise was quite pricey. $58 for a womens t-shirt and when I realized the price and said that was too much the employee said it was priced that was because it was made in the USA. I'm all about supporting the USA but still no way when they're mass produced that it costs that much to make a screen printed t-shirt. Beer is very good. Purple grain and some kind of guest raspberry sours. The food is where it all went down hill. The place is really cool inside. Don't order the crab stuffed mushrooms, we got #4 for around $11... ridiculous. The pretzel was decent and the Nashville cheese curds were good. My first visit was a few months ago, and not remarkable. However when I was there I saw someone get the giant pretzel from a distance. It really is giant. For this reason, when driving through, I decided to eat dinner there with my family. Don't get the giant pretzel. It was really hard. I asked my server if it was normally this hard or if it was overcooked, and she just said pretzels are originally hard, but couldn't answer. There were a few other issues that I won't go into, but they all come down to laziness or just a lack of attention. Odds of me returning are pretty slim. The environment is cool, and I'm sure was a big investment, but they need to spend a little more time investing in the staff to make sure they can provide a quality experience for guests. read more
