In regard to my first review due to the incorrect details in the response. Jaime, I didn't ever ask for anything brighter. Ever. I remember telling you on the phone I didn't want anything brighter so I'm not sure why that continues to be confusing for everyone. She wanted to make it brighter because she rushed through her work to the second time. She was in a hurry because I was a reschedule from her calling in sick the time before. That day she cancelled on me--4 hours before my appointment. Yes, she did great the first time. So much so that I did recommend my wife, not spouse, to her for a cut. We can use the same words for everyone, defining relationships, right? We both cancelled after HER cancellation and her not listening to anything I said while in the chair the second time. I happened upon this salon because my usual hairdresser closed earlier than most for the Quarantine. Hoping to get a cut and color near my home with limited notice, I gave them a call. They could see me that very day. TBH I was willing to take a chance, but I felt sure I was not getting an experienced stylist based on the short notice. I was so pleasantly surprised! Holly Jo was my stylist and she is incredibly experienced, with a glowing personality. My cut and color were beautiful. They use Kérastase products, which I had never used, but really enjoyed. One of my favorite observations is that they have an ammazingggg assistant who gives the washes and she gives the best scalp massage! Also, the sink they use does NOT require that you crank your neck around in those uncomfortable positions. Why don't more salons have this?? The location is on the general mall property but it is not in the mall. It has its own parking lot and is in a 2 story complex toward the movie theater, with a Mexican restaurant and body spa, in case you want to make a day of it ;) I just may have found myself a new place! read more

I called and spoke with two people about extensions and explained my situation to them. they both assured me that I could come in and see a stylist to do my tape in extensions. I drive 20 minutes to the consultation only to have the girl tell me she could not help me with my extensions... what a waste of my time! Mimi was very pleasant and polite but she didn't do the cut my daughter asked for. I found out about this salon from another Yelp review (see, Yelp really does work!). I naturally have dark brown hair and I had some blonde balayage turned orange that needed a fix. Well that was probably 6 months ago...and I'm still a loyal client. I go to Krista and she is really great! She always listens to my hair concerns and gets it right every time, whether it be a color or cut. She has a wonderful and genuine personality. And she makes recommendations for products tailored to my hair. The salon has some great products, although they are pricey. One of my absolute favorite things about this salon is the SHAMPOO CHAIRS!! They have a headrest built into the sink so you are not breaking your neck while getting washed!! I know this may seem trivial -- but OMG it makes a huge difference!! I can actually sit back and enjoy my shampoo and scalp massage without pain. Another thing I love (and highly recommend) is the gloss treatment. It's a serum you can add on after your shampoo that makes your hair so silky, shiny, and soft. They also sell a kit with these serums that you can take home and apply yourself in between appointments. The salon's location was a little tricky to find -- it was on the backside of a building, kind of hidden from the road. But they are actually relocating to somewhere in Green HIlls. The salon as a whole is extremely nice, I've only been there 1 time for a consultation and my daughter to get her hair blow dried out. I personally needed a color correction Holly J was extremely rude, made me feel worse about my hair saying it's practically ruined. After repeating her self over and over then saying she wanted to review the pictures before quoting me, never got back to me (I wasn't going to go back anyways) She is very rude Update Holly I understand that, but I'm sure if you look back you can understand why I felt how you were was rude, yes you did get back to me I never doubted you doing that. But it was the way you spoke to me while I was there that I was not happy with I will make it very clear in my review she never did work on my hairs. I found holly by my stylist back in Colorado as they had gone to school together so I said sure! I had scheduled a toner and a trim since I had gotten my hair colored before I moved. I wanted to talk to her about how I wanted to color my hair next after this first visit. I sat in her chair and felt like I was talking to a good friend. I actually cried in her chair because I didn't love my hair and didn't know what to do. She looked at my hair and explained to me in depth the amount of damage I had. But she was so kind and understanding and I didn't feel judged or like I was a burden. she asked how I felt chopping my hair. Honestly I had thought about it for awhile and I not only trusted her opinion, she looked up Pinterest pictures like who does that??, and to me it's just hair, it'll grow back. I wanted healthy and beautiful hair and I trusted her to help me do that. She chopped it and toned it and styled it beautifully. I love it. And I will see holly as long as I live in this area.
