If I could give them 0 stars I would. My sister went here and they cut her face. The employee declined to give her a refund because her boss is in India and only her boss does refunds. This is ridiculous and poor customer service. During the threading she was also slapping my sister and being aggressive. When she went in she didn't have acne or pimples. Her face reacted to the rough threading and now her face is cut, red, and erupted. My sister reported them to the Better Business Bureau as well and it turns out they aren't registered with them. The BBB stands for an ethical market place where buyers and sellers can trust each other. Well now I know why they aren't accredited. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Specially on the weekends. I don't know her name because wouldn't tell me, but she's horrible. I had thick bushy eye brows, hadn't touched them for a month. Everywhere else was closed and I was desperate to get my eyebrows done. I specifically told the girl just clean them. While she was doing my eyebrows I could feel something was off but didn't say anything. When she finally finished after painfully pulling my hair and breaking the thread a few time due to the amount of high pressure she was pulling my hair, I was shocked and disappointed. She made my eyebrows short, did one thick the Other thin and balded the middle part of my eyebrows. I told her what did you do and she told me "you always come here and either leave when you see me or just ask to do your upper lip!" Then she said "what made you wanna do them now?" At this point I was shocked and couldn't believe her response. It seemed like she was holding a grudge against me because it's true I always leave when I see her or just do my upper lip, but as I mentioned this time everywhere was closed and I was desperate to get my eyebrows done. I asked her if she purposely messed up my eyebrows and she started yelling at me calling me crazy and telling me to not come on the weekends. Anyway, there are many places to get your eyebrows done please don't go here and ruin your eyebrows and get called crazy by the rude girl who works on the weekend and refused to tell me her name. I redeemed my Groupon here today and I must say that I loved my experience here. Christina did an outstanding job on my eyebrows! Unlike other threading places I've tried, she didn't take too much off and have to fill it in with a pencil. When she asked me what kind of shape I wanted, I said that I wanted "an arch without looking like I'm angry all the time" and she chuckled then gave me exactly what I asked for. Afterwards, she dabbed some witch hazel on my brows to calm them down. ...ahh, relief. My Groupon also included a full Brazilian. Christina did that too, since she was the only one there, and she was amazing. Not only did she make me feel completely comfortable and chatty, but it was also pretty painless. What! She's a miracle-worker! And since she's a thorough professional, she cleaned the rest up with tweezers. I was worried that the Groupon wasn't really for a full Brazilian because of another review here but that was not so (in my case anyway). When I asked her about it, she said that hair inside the bikini line is included in the Groupon, but anything outside the bikini line area is extra. All in all, the Groupon was a success! I will become a regular here (specifically, a regular of Christina). Aside from the stellar customer service, prices, and quality of service the place is also very clean and bright. The only conflict I had was that I felt like I was cheating on Larissa (of Larissa Painless Waxing on Beverly). She has been my waxer for many ears and is equally outstanding. You have to go see Shoba! She really knows what she is doing. She really looks at your skin type, to make sure she uses the correct technique on you. My skin is supersensitive, she knew right away and knew not to apply to much pressure. She did an amazing job on my eyebrows, I am super happy. She is located in the shopping center, and there is plenty of parking, which makes it so pleasant. You don't have to pay for any meters. The place is clean, which is super important to me. This is my go-to place to get my eyebrows threaded. The women here do a fantastic job and are so sweet. What makes this place different from other threading places I've been to around LA is that the women are nice, the cheap prices, and the fact that they do such an efficient job with my brows. (They do it quickly too!) The area is a bit busy and sometimes parking can be a hassle because there is limited parking outside but they have a parking structure if the lot becomes full. Parking issues aside, I still come to this place every time and I don't trust anyone else with my brows. I used to be a loyal customer. Kabita always did a beautiful job. She was sweet and kind and never made me feel rushed. She listened to what I wanted and my eyebrows would come out even and beautiful. It was always such a pleasure coming in. She is a gem.However, she left and to be perfectly honest it just is going downhill. I don't know why the other women that work there have such bad attitudes but to top it off I tried twice at giving them a shot and they over threaded my brows, and the second time the women couldn't be bothered to get off he phone while threading so she's got the phone up to her ear and thread in her mouth and in between mumbling and talking I looked at the mirror and my brows were two completely different shapes! I understand the whole "you get what you pay for" but I wouldn't waste my time or money, especially when you're treated rudely by staff. I highly recommend that you try somewhere else. This place is absolutely the BEST place you can come in to get your eyebrows shaped and on point, they never disappoint. Also to get your vaginal area however it is you want it. Honestly, I'd rather shave than go anywhere else to get bikini waxed. The owner is extremely fast with it which helps ease the pain. It's almost painless for me every time I come! I come out super clean and smooth like a baby's skin. They are very clean and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. They have parking. They just opened one more location which is amazing as well! I can't say enough good things about this place! A friend recommended I try it out after I complimented her on how nice her brows looked. The first time I went I was surprised by how cute and clean the place looked. It wasn't busy so I was able to get in immediately. The owner threaded my eyebrows and she did a great job! She was really friendly and I immediately felt comfortable. She has a light touch and my after my brows looked great! I don't need to have my brows done often so it had been about two months since my last visit but was starting to look a little grown out so I decided to pop in quickly after the gym Sunday morning. When I got to the door it was open but the lights and TV weren't on. I asked when they open on Sunday and it wasn't for another 40 min (11:00am). I turned to leave and she invited me in and did my brows and lip even though they weren't open yet. It was so nice of her! Went here after finding out they do not thread anymore at Samosa House . Yes I do realize it was weird getting my eyebrows threaded in the back of a grocery store. Got my brows threaded by Linda who is " the asian girl" mentioned in another review. She did an excellent job , really meticulous probably one of the best brow jobs i've ever gotten. Except she did not like brush off the hair on my face, and I was a hot mess before I came in so I had to like brush off a small yetti off my face in my car. ALSO they have a punch card. I went to the Brentwood location before coming here, but I'm so happy I found this place because it's really close to my place. I had such a hard time trying to find a new eyebrow place to go to when I moved to LA, but this is the place to go for threading. Similarly to the other location here are the important things to know: 1. They do an amazing job (this is coming from a picky eyebrow girl haha) 2. Really affordable prices 3. There's a $10 minimum for using credit card (this is easy to do if you're getting you eyebrows done because it's $10 for eyebrows only) 4. There is a small parking lot in front and easy street parking if the lot is full My general threading tip - if you're worried about them shaping your eyebrows in a way that you don't want, just say that you only want them to do a clean up and you should be worry free! I've been coming here to get my eyebrows threaded since they've opened. It's owned by a Nepalese woman who is usually there on Fridays. Don't forget to get your stamp each time you visit. 10th visit is on the house. I have always walked in -- sometimes I'll be the first customer and sometimes I'll have to wait 10 min or so. Like all eyebrow places, I always make sure to tell them what I want my eyebrows to look like and reemphasize that I want to keep my eyebrows thick just to make sure they don't pull them all out. There's a parking structure under the building (entrance on Whitworth) if parking is full on the ground level. Wish they were open later into the evening! read more

I was at the salon when this argument occurred, and the customer was incredibly rude and condescending towards the employee, who did not do anything wrong. The customer was shouting derogatory curse words, even after receiving her money back. I have been coming to Styles for a year now and always have a good experience. Last two times I went in I left with crooked eyebrows and once I had to have the manager try and fix the botched job. The perfect place to go if you want a quick clean up of your eyebrows, but not necessarily the best for shaping. When I went, my eyebrows were pretty overgrown and could use some shaping. I hadn't made an appointment, so when I went in there was somewhat of a wait. I didn't mind though because the one woman that was running the whole place moved very quickly and efficiently. There were 2 people in front of me and it probably took 10-15 minutes for both of them to get their eyebrows done. When it was finally my turn to sit in the chair, I explained that I mostly needed a more defined shape to my eyebrows. I kind of got the impression that the woman didn't understand what I said, so I tried pointing to a poster on the wall of a shape I really liked. She worked on my brows of about 5 minutes and then put soothing gel on and was done. Not necessarily what I had asked for, but for $10 my eyebrows were at least very nicely cleaned up. So, I'd say this is the place if your looking for a very cheap and quick cleanup of your eyebrows, but maybe not necessarily if you need a more defined shape. However, I only went and saw one woman and everyone has a very different style of threading, so I might actually go back when there is someone else running the store. HORRIBLE !!! I went here for my threading and I asked the lady Shobha to do my forehead - specifically and she nicked off my hairline . Even while she was threading I clearly told her to do my FOREHEAD only. Once she was done I saw my hairline nicked off and she flatly denied it - I showed her what she just did besides while she was threading I kept telling her , After all the damage caused instead of apologising she said get out and started cursing and acted so weirdly not too mention so badly . DISGUSTING AND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE , Please be careful and go here at 'your own risk' !!!!!!! I'm extremely disturbed by what happened and now I have to wait for my hair to grow out.. so upsetting . And after I mentioned I will be writing a review on yelp - she says go do what you want I don't care. I don't think she understands instructions properly not too mention all the damage caused. I used to go here all the time and really liked it.. however, the last two times have been really bad experiences. The last time I came, I literally cried after leaving because she made them so thin and uneven! She said it was more "natural" because I have curly hair but apparently taking all my eyebrow off is better. I just left and the threader went very hard and very slow!! I HATE DOING THIS. They were open on Sunday I saw the mostly decent reviews and figured I would go in. I arrived and it seemed like a decent place. I signed in for eyebrow threading and Brazilian. The young lady who did my eye brows also did my wax. She was sweet, kept conversation professional and light. I felt comfortable for the most part The eye brown threading went fine. Although she did not brush the left over hair off my face the work itself was good. When I was escorted into the wax room I was happy to see that she put the wax in a individual container and did not double dip. Although I have an extremely high tolerance for pain, by no means what she did to me should e done to any one else. As the young lady waxed she did not pull the skin as taught as she could have and I think this made the method not as effective at removing the hair. Then after one major rip she went back in multiple times over the same area trying to snatch up more hairs. The young lady said that some hairs were stubborn and she just couldn't get everything. I had some stubble left and my skin was so red I couldn't tell how many stray hairs had actually been let over. I had been in the room for quite some time and was anxious to leave out. They charged me 44 dollars! Although the pain was not extremerly bad whn I left it became much worse as the evening wore on. Unfortunately when I got home the outer skin of my vagina was burning and tender and extremely sore. I had to take aspirin and use an ice pack just to sleep. I had been waxed at 3:30 pm or so, and I was in bed around 11:00 PM. I spent hours in pain. All day yesterday I felt tender and saw bits of red and skin when I used the restroom. I will be contacting several entities and notifying this establishment. There is no way any one else should have to endure unnecessary torture. read more

Eyebrows really define the face, and can change your entire appearance. I have always been very particular with how I want my eyebrows to look, and definitely don't want them thin. I stumbled upon this place on a Sunday, and it was very quiet. THANK GOD, one place in LA actually has parking, not metered, and not a valet attendant, but FREE parking! There was only 1 person working that day (the owner), but there wasn't a wait either. The place is a very clean, welcoming, and she was really sweet. I get my entire face threaded, since I hate having any sort of hair on my face. She did a great, fast job and it wasn't painful. My frist experience, definitely prompted me to come back. The second time I came back, she was busy, however she had another girl working (Iman). This is where it gets GOOD! I fell in love with Iman, her work and how she completely transformed my eyebrows. I can't tell you how many compliments I received after getting my eyebrows done with Iman. I was a big fan of Anastasia for long, but interesting enough, I never got a significant compliments on my eyebrows. I just got my eyebrows down again yesterday, after 3 weeks, and they look that much more amazing than the second time. You can't beat these prices, the service and location. I, like many other Yelpers, came here with the Groupon deal of eyebrow threading + Brazilian for $25. And everything started out lovely, but went downhill fast. Warning - this gets mildly graphic towards the end (like rated PG13 for unpleasant imagery) I came in a little before 6, kind of on a whim. I had printed out the Groupon intending to use it sometime in the next week, but impulsively decided to go over right after work. They were gracious, and sweet about squeezing me in as a walk-in (they close at 7). I didn't catch the name of either woman, which is unfortunate because I know milage at salons varies incredibly based on the person. I was also prepared for the $10 extra charge. The reviews here weren't specific so if anyone else is slow like me - the extra charge on the "full Brazilian" as described in the Groupon is for the backside. I've never heard of a "full Brazilian" that did not include the backside, but whatever. I know local businesses gotta make money off Groupon customers somehow, and it was still a decent package deal. The threading experience was great. Even more painless than my usual experiences, quick, clean, and thorough. I was totally sold on this place at that point, even contemplating switching threaders for good. We didn't chat much, other than a quick description of what I wanted - which is basically natural looking but clean. My brow hairs have a tendency to creep down almost to my eyeballs. But she knew exactly what I meant and I'm perfectly content and happy with my eyebrows. And then I went into the waxing room. First off - I stripped down and the lady laughed and said "oh my! a jungle! you have a jungle down there!" WTF. Yeah, it had been a while since I last groomed my lady parts. Guess what? That's why I'm here! So I lay down on the table, and she quickly gets to work. And it hurt. This is not my first time at the rodeo. This was more painful than any other wax I've ever had. But I gritted my teeth and got through the pain. Then she put a strip down near my foot, where it promptly got stuck to my foot. A strip covered with wax and my own pubic hair was stuck to my foot and then subsequently stuck my foot to the paper. Then she made fun of me for grimacing during some of the painful parts and said something along the lines of "I can't look at your face while I do this or I'll have to stop!" I'm not sure if that was supposed to be sympathetic to my obvious discomfort or what, but not the attitude I wanted to hear just then. Then she rubbed some baby oil on me and announced she was done. I looked down and not only could I already see a buuunch of strays that she apparently didn't feel the need to tweeze, but about half of my pubic area had blood coming to the skin, looking like little pinpricks. That has only happened once to me after a wax, and that time I bled for a couple days after. It's been a few hours, and doesn't seem nearly as severe as the first time, but it's definitely more tender, swollen, red, and bloody looking than usual. As I said - this isn't my first Brazilian. I have a pretty good idea of how my body reacts, and this is out of the standard deviation of discomfort. I'm going to have to wait a few days to tackle the mess of strays I've since discovered with tweezers as it's far too sensitive at the moment. The threading lady gets a 5 star review. The wax lady gets none. Hence the 2 star overall. I'd take my face back here, but never my lady parts. read more

The Groupon said it included a full Brazilian wax, and even mentioned removing hair from the bikini line, but when I got there they told me they were going to charge me $10 extra to do the bikini line, too. Of course, she waited til I had taken my clothes off, and she put all the powder down. I know businesses don't make a lot of money (if any) off Groupon, but it felt really bait-and-switch. Not cool. The wax was pretty good. It wasn't all that painful and she got most of the hair. I would have appreciated her tweezing away the hairs she missed, but she didn't do that. Had to do it myself at home. When my wax was done, I got stuck in a chair for 10 minutes waiting on my eyebrows while the owner did some business with a woman trying to book her for a party. I didn't appreciate just sitting there, waiting to be finished. It was unprofessional & not respectful of my time.
