I needed a last minute change to my grooming appointment with my regular groomer, but they weren't able to accommodate me. With a vacation coming up, I was scrambling to find a groomer at the last minute. I was so lucky to find Stylin' Hounds! They're in my neighborhood and I've walked past many times and never stopped inside. They got me a grooming appointment within 24 hours, they even called and bumped up my appointment time even earlier. I have an American Bully mix who is a big goof but scares some people by the way he looks and they're weren't intimidated at all. By the end of it he came out shiny and clean with a beautiful bow. They were gentle and sweet to my old chihuahua-mix as well and put a cute little necktie on her. They were such a sight to see after their baths! I am heartbroken that Central Bark's AMAZING groomer moved. I have been looking for another groomer since to do a comparable job. It's harder than you think! When I called to make my dogs appointment, I was clear when I said I wanted my dog cut super short. We don't worry about looks we are about function. I waited the two weeks for the appointment. I jumped through all the hoops to get her an appointment there. Sent vaccination records, filled out their three pages of paperwork. I arrived and explained AGAIN that I wanted it cut with their shortest blade possible either a #9 or #10 blade. She completely refused. My dog needed a cut so bad I was at a loss and just left her there for a cut. I am glad I did cause even if she has cut it as I actually wanted it I would NOT HAVE GONE BACK. The front desk girl is super nice, but the groomer is so rude. I have never been treated like that. I told her hey, next time can we please have it shorter. She kept asking me why, why, why... I explained to her 4 times 4 different ways why... and she just gave me the meanest look. My dog is 9 years old and has been getting her hair cut back to a #10 her whole life... why do I have to beg. She cut it with a #7 blade. Her rudeness sealed the deal. If I am going to drop $100 for her hair cuts, I am going to be treated with respect. read more

I have a timid Australian Shepherd Mix who doesn't particularly like to be groomed and Shoko and her team did an amazing job. Shoko knows my dog, Tesla, by name and genuinely loves her always saying hi and giving lots of pets when we stop in the store. So I have been really loyal to our dog groomer that was in Renton. Unfortunately, I don't work down there anymore and decided to try somewhere closer to home to save time. I initially felt bad like I was betraying someone, but when I picked up our pup from here she was BEAUTIFUL!! We have had her for 8 years and I don't think I've ever seen her cut so well. He paws and legs were cut in away that made her look like a show dog! I was so impressed. We always have issues as well with her dew claws being cut! Never even had to ask and it was done! Granted it was $65 for a small 10lb dog which is pretty on par with most places but $15 more than our previous groomer...but it is totally with it. The owner ( I believe) even gave us a free bag of dog treats for my pup! Super happy and will be returning! read more

These people clearly don't need new customers. We decided to try them because they seem to do a lot of poodles and poodle mixes. We have a new 4 month old Doodle and brought her in for her first limited grooming. I made the reservation for 10am. 3 minutes after 10, I get a call, at work, demanding to know where we are. Apparently, when I booked the reservation, I should have been told that we needed to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out forms. I was NOT told this. My husband arrived with the dog at 10:05 (exactly 10:05), and got angrily lectured about being so late. Again we were NOT told to show up 15 minutes early. We asked that they bathe and brush her, clip her paw pads and inside her ears, and trim around her eyes only. They did a good job, but this cost $70! I've been taking dogs to groomers for 20 years. I had a dog that was hand stripped, and that is not cheap, but $70 for a bath and some minor trimming? Rude service, haughty attitudes, over-priced. Let's see: our dog is a puppy. She lives 15 years, maybe? We would have her groomed monthly. That's about $18,000. Hope being nasty to new customers was worth the loss. read more

In our case, our dog's hair was quite matted, and although we wanted to keep her hair long, she advised against it, due to the pain that dematting would cause our little pup. It was clear from her explanation that was motivated her most was the well-being of our dog, and, well, we demand nothing less of the person that deals with our puppy. I had brought my little schnoodle to this place and the owner did a fantastic job! Soko is awesome and very nice. At first I was afraid to take Emma here because she is an extremely anxious pup, and due to that reason I was extremely nervous for her because she has been nipped by previous groomers... However, Soko was gentle and cared for her as if she was her own. My dog is definitely not the easiest to handle, but Soko did it! She also reassured me that she always handles every dog with love and care. After seeing my pup I looked to find weird marks and such, however there was none.
