The person who came to do the job for me appeared to have one key objective: do as little work as possible and leave as soon as possible. Specifics: (1) When I was checking the work after they were done, I pointed out 8 sprinklers that they simply did not touch and were not working at all. They were is a very obvious place. This made me wonder how much I should trust this work, (2) During the day, he asked me to confirm that he will be doing area A and B, and did not mention area C, which was part of the original plan. When I pointed it out, he agreed, and I then realized that he perceived some difficulty in this area and thus was hoping it did not exist! (3) He pushed back on doing minor polish things like removing an old drip line or pouring pebbles to cover the new one. He said this would take more time and I should schedule another appointment to do it. I was already doing an $1,800 job, with 4 hours of labor. Spending 2-3 more minutes on such a trivial polish would not have made a difference, but he pushed back anyways. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Dr Sprinkler.

They fixed a leaky pipe in my backyard without having to pull up my pavers and then they fixed a pipe in my front planter that solved low pressure on my drip lines. No fuss, no extra charges or unnecessary parts and labor. There were multiple leaks, improperly programmed settings, bad heads and misdirecdted spray patterns. I was only in town for a couple of days and Sebastian came out with his team on a Sunday morning the day of the Superbowl to get the job done. Super huge gratefulness and appreciation for being accomodating. First he assessed the system and gave us an estimate as to how much he thought it would be to fix all of the issues. His quote was withing $100 of what we expected. We approved the work and they got started. Four hours later, Sebastian was walking us around, station by station, advising us what they fixed. They touched 90% of all the heads we have on lur system. Everything was perfect. He also added waterng lines to two potted plants we have so that we no longer had to manually water. Sebastian also helped us reset our controller, get it connected to WiFi again and he timed out the stations so we don't over water and to help save money on the watering bill. I brought them back a second time for $1,716 to handle wiring, fix some broken sprinkler components in the front yard, and extend the system to cover additional areas. The wiring of both the front and back systems was done perfectly, and I appreciated that part of the work. That said, if you have fruit trees or citrus in your yard, be aware that they do not have the expertise to handle specialized watering needs for those plants. The sprinklers near my fruit trees were set up incorrectly, and a professional arborist I later consulted told me the configuration would overwater the trees. I called OC Sprinkler Doctor to come back and fix the issue, but they never returned my call. Now I am in a position where I will need to hire a professional arborist who also can do landscaping to come back and fix the sprinkler system again, likely at a cost of $3,000 or more, when I am able to afford it. They are reasonably priced and capable of handling standard sprinkler lawn work, but the lack of specialized knowledge around vegetables, fruit trees and citrus trees, combined with the complete silence when I tried to get the issue resolved, may end up costing me far more in the end.
