i have been going to Sublime for years. Susanne does a great job with my hair, and works with my lifestyle, and preferences when coloring and cutting my hair. I have had a few wild ideas over years, and she really listens to what I think. She has embraced some of my ideas, and has wisely guided me away from a few others. (She has been right on all counts.....) Susanne has become my guru for products that work with my hair, and get me the look I want! Wendy has been my go-to-gal for mani's, pedi's and facials for years. I trust her completely. Both of them professionals take time with me, and I leave Sublime feeling happy and "restored." Amy, at the front desk, is always helpful. She is able to get me in around my work schedule, and I can always count on a courtesy call to remind me of upcoming appointments. This is my second time coming to sublime and I can say that I really love and enjoy my experience at this cute salon. My favorite hairstylist mahnaz is currently working here and I will follow her anywhere because she is very talented and knowledgeable and understands and pampers my crazy curly hair like nobody else. My hair was so damaged back then due to multiple color treatments , hair straitening treatments and just not proper care with her advices and product recommendation I can say my hair came back to live. With the good reviews on here I thought I would give this a try. Just mediocre experience. I had a "consultation" at the beginning of my appointment but don't feel like the stylist was really listening. She didn't review colors with me. Just went to mix my color. Honestly the woman who washed my hair was great with a scalp massage but that was about the best part of my appointment. I don't I'll return. I've been going to Sublime since I moved back to NJ 7 years ago. It's like a visit with family. From Amy at reception to my stylist Tina, everyone is friendly. When COVID forced the salon to close they came up with kits so I could color my own hair. Actually I tried my sister to follow the directions. And it worked! When shampooing my hair they use a hot towel under my neck. It's the best! If you live in the area (it's worth the trip if you don't) give the place a try. It won't disappoint. read more

I've been going to different spas for years all across the country and world!! For my 40th birthday my husband got me a full day at sublime spa. I was so excited I couldn't wait to get there!! It was small but had a nice ambiance. The receptionist was super sweet and gave me a medical form to fill out for my massage. As I'm filling it out some woman walking by BARKS "You don't have to finish that! I'm the massage therapist and we need to get started!" As a ex massage therapist myself I answered: "Yes I do. How else will you know what muscles to work on!?" ALREADY A BAD VIBE from this less than smart individual. The massage was average at best! I've had better at massage envy. She definitely didn't know her muscles. I was scheduled for a facial. Oh great, she's doing that as well. Everything was going fine until she got cream in my eyes which not only hurt but burned sooooo bad!!!! You'd think she'd ask what's wrong!!???? Nope. I had to ask for a tissue to clean my eyes. Then it was time for my mani/pedi. Guess who!?? Yup. Am I being punked ? Is there anyone else working here!? I didn't make any small talk as I just wanted to be done. So she started talking about her sister being a single mom to her niece and what a deadbeat dad she had. (Great conversation) Finally, it was time for my haircut and blowout. I had an incredible stylist who's name I forgot. She made my hair look absolutely Fabulous!!! I felt incredibly beautiful after she was done. A great ending to a so so Day at the spa. I asked the receptionist for the manager but unfortunately she had already left for the day. I wrote her a note which I'm 100% sure she never got. I also sent an email which was never answered. I wasn't looking for any type of reimbursement but I do wish that woman had been spoken to about proper customer service. I left annoyed but definitely beautiful thanks to a young and hip knock out stylist. I would NOT recommend this Spa to anyone!!! read more

Love, love, love Sublime! I have been following Wendy around for almost 15 years, ever since she gave me the most wonderful facial (and kindness) when I was just starting my cancer treatment. Now I go every chance I get and she and the rest of the lovely staff make life beautiful for me, if only for a while. I have turned my hair over to Tina, who always makes it look magazine-ready. My son got married last May and they pampered me and got me spiffed up - I got lots of compliments and I actually like the wedding photos (miraculous)! I'm in the habit of booking ahead because they're so popular. And that way I get to look forward to my next visit! read more

Being new to the area I tried a couple salons in the area and not to happy so I went to sublime for my first haircut and I had a wonderful experience .. everybody was really nice and Suzanne the owner actually did my hair.. the service was fantastic and my hair looks great. I even bought a gift card for my wife to try them out. read more

Ok so I tried to establish myself as a new customer at this salon as it is closer to my house then my previous place.. I've had 2 haircuts here with Tina who was lovely and funny and did a great job. The place is very nice and everyone there was nice. BUT,,,I could never get an afternoon appt for the week I called . Was more like almost 2 week wait( for just a haircut ). This last time I called to make an appt for color and there was nothing for 3 weeks! Seriously!! Come on. I don't think I've ever had to wait that long.. The receptionist kept giving me morning hours and I kept saying , " no, I need an afternoon" finally I said , "Well, I guess I'll have to look elsewhere" and she said , "OK , bye then". I thought that was pretty unbelievable and kind of rude..I guess they have enough regulars , they don't need any new customers. Will be returning to my old place . It's a little further away ,but I can easily get an appt the same week . 2 stars only because the lady that cut my hair was nice read more

I have been a customer for over 20 years when Suzanne was on Springfield Avenue, Yes, I am a regular. Sorry some can't get an appointment on short notice. However, the receptionist is a doll as are all the staff. They obviously are doing something right or I would not be a loyal customer. read more
