it was awful. The one pharmacist was so rude to me I was blown away by how bad my experience was.

I changed my mind about them and lived in New Providence for five years - they are actually very good especially when compared to CVS.

Unless you have an hour to kill the pharmacy is ridiculously slow and unorganized. I will never give my business to a CVS but I wonder! The check out guy up front was insanely pleasant. They didn't carry a tide stick or any form or spot or stain remover; very odd. Do better! read more

While not my regular Walgreens I've found the layout better (not so claustrophobic), the aisles better maintained, and the staff friendly and capable. I asked a staffer for help in locating an item, she couldn't find it either, but she went the extra mile to ask a manager-who found it. Can't ask for better than that! read more

Unless you have a considerable amount of time to kill, don't choose the drive through. I sat in line for a half hour, during which time they took care of two cars and I was still 4 cars back. Unacceptable. If they can't take care of someone in short order, then they need to ask the customer to come back at a later time so to move the line. I ultimately parked and walked inside where there was just two in line and although I still waited a while, I didn't have to burn gas or have to sit in a hot car (if I tuned engine off). Love this store to visit. Manager and ass manager and staff are wonderful. Even when there busy they talk to you. There not rude. Makes my job very easy and relaxed in this store. So if you live in area this is walgreens to go to for you quick needs. read more

I've been using this Walgreen's since i moved here. It's conveniently located on the corner of Springfield ave and Snyder ave in Berkeley Hts.It has a drive-up pharmacy which is good when your sick, or your kids are sick and you don't want to get out of your car to pick up prescriptions. It's not open 24 hours but it is open until 10p everyday. Nice selection of merchandise and good variety of greeting cards, chocolates, candies, and weekly specials. I'm always buying tons of makeup here. They always have one or two brands on sale, and with their flyer you can always find a coupon to add to your savings. **The pharmacy here is very busy, i downloaded the Walgreens app on my iPhone and it makes renewing prescriptions a breeze. It will also let u know when your prescription is ready w/ an email, plus u can see weekly specials and get coupons at ur fingertips.** The staff is very friendly and helpful especially in the comedic department. With all the other Walgreens out there this one is a little gem! read more

I am grateful for very kind pharmacy techs. Although, there was a slight mixup, the pharmacist went out of her way to bring me my medicine. Truthfully, it might have saved me from a visit to the ER. I sent a roll of 35 mm film to be developed with the photo department. They told me to come into the store a week and a day from then to come pick up the photos. I came in on that date, and it wasn't ready. They suggested I call ahead so I wouldn't have to drive all the way there for nothing again. The next day, I tried calling, and I was hung up on once, put on hold for 20 minutes, and then redirected to pharmacy, not the photo department. They never picked up my call. The next day, I went in, and it still wasn't ready. The manager told me I should be patient, these things take a week-- and I told him it was sent in over a week ago. read more

I have been filling prescriptions at this location for many years. While I was never really satisfied with the service, long lines, errors in the amount of months filled for my prescription, I stuck with them as they are local. However, when I recently found my prescription was filled under another patients name and a different doctor, I had enough! The anxiety this caused me thinking I have been taking the wrong prescription for a month was off the charts. Never again will I use this pharmacy. My local convenience store and pharmacy. Never a problem finding what I'm looking for. Great for a quick flu shot. With the opening of the Gilette store, the congestion problems in the parking lot and pharmacy have diminished. What I have never appreciated is the constant solicitation of causes at check out. Candy for troops, money for diseases etc. etc. I have my own causes, thanks very much. Please leave me alone. Is it too much to ask? I'm also not thrilled with every staff member asking me how I am, but that's just me. I like to get in, get done and get out. But I understand some folks like their service on the effusive side. While I do not care for the over proliferation of these places in my favorite neighborhoods, there's no denying the convenience. read more

Pharmacist gave me the wrong medicine, told me to bring it back and then did not give any medicine nor any money back.

I was at Walgreens tonight using the scanner making a Canvas photo for my mother-in-law for a Christmas gift. I had trouble trying to do it myself the lady behind the counter in the photo department, (can't remember her name) was very helpful but she was very busy taking care of other customers. The one person that came to my rescue was Dominick, he was the best!! He helped me fit my pictures in, cropping.. Etc. The whole time making sure I was happy with the changes. I've been going to this store since it opened a long time ago. Has completely gone downhill since the last few years. The best part of my trip is seeing mark. He always asks how I'm doing and how the kids are. Even my husband gets excited to see him on our weekly trips. I was totally caught off guard when he told me he wasn't supervisor. He works so hard. I would love to see him move up. Also Michael is the best around. Always happy when he greets me. read more

This Walgreens is just too busy. I had an unfortunate incident occur when one of my prescriptions was mixed with a medication I do not take. Although the pills looked similar they were wrong. I don't know how many of the incorrect ones I took before I realized an error was made. Also the days I took the wrong medication meant that I did not take the one I need daily. The pharmacists are always so swamped with prescriptions and there is usually a wait for pickup. I really blame Walgreen's corporate for not staffing properly. Their response was that I should be grateful that I did not become seriously ill or die. Not kidding. They also called my doctor's office without my permission or knowledge to discuss my medical condition. Yikes. I agree with other reviewers that the staff is friendly and the store is usually stocked well, (unlike other Walgreen's) but the pharmacy department is just simply overwhelmed. read more

I think the staff at Walgreen's are great, but their customer service is wonderful. Michael, Delores, Gloria, Mark are great at their job and are Welcoming when you walk. But the real sweet heart of the group is Mark he does everything for you and with a smile and willingness to help. I hink he should be promoted to shift lead. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING! So I use the photo center here to develop my pictures for my Kodak camera. I went in on December 8th. The girl at the counter told me she would send them out and my ticket I kept said to come back on December 15th to pick them up. Long story short, I spoke to the "assistant manager", Gloria who was trying to assist me. When I told her I spoke to just about every employee at Walgreens she laughed in my face. She did not once apologize for how long this process was taking. Richard was assisting me the most , actual manager, and called me about when to pick them up. So I went in on January 24th and FINALLY they were ready. Richard told me on the phone that an employee sent it to the wrong photo center. I picked them up and Gloria was there, miserable as usual. Richard gave me 15% off which I appreciate but it only took off $1.50. I nicely asked Gloria if she had a photo coupon or something and she immediately said no. She did not even look around or offer me something different. Clearly, she doesn't know how to interact with customers and I was a very loyal Walgreens customer so I will not be returning for anything. I still had to pay $14 for my pictures that I patiently waited on for almost 2 months! DO NOT GO TO WALGREENS, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

I had been a long-term customer at Walgreens since the local Drug Fair closed years ago. My family has many Rxs refilled here and it seems I'm in this store all the time. A few weeks ago I arrived at 9:40 to get a refill for one of the Rxs that had run out. I gave the info and indicated I would shop while it was being filled. I did pick up a bunch of things I needed and after a while it struck me that it had been quite a while and I hadn't heard anything. When I went back THE PHARMACY HAD CLOSED AND ALL THE TECHS HAD LEFT!!! It was about 10:10 and the pharmacy area was locked and they left me with no way to get my script. I was extremely unhappy but the manager just shrugged and said they had called me over the intercom. If they did it was pretty mumbled or soft because I never heard it and they certainly made no effort to follow up. I just handed the basket of stuff to the manager and switched all my scripts to CVS across the street. Much better and they seem much more eager to please their customers. read more
