I recently received a phone call from the owner noting my discontent. He explained what he felt were his shortcomings and how he believes he has rectified them. He then asked if I would consider returning and offered a small discount on my first order. THAT is customer service people! I was very happy to find this dry cleaner that is close to our house one day while at the nearby Walgreens. I called to ask how much a pressing fee would be vs dry cleaning and the lady was very helpful and courteous on the phone. When I went into the location, I was greeted by the same woman who had helped me on the phone. They offer military discount which is nice since that is the majority of the items that I get dry cleaned & pressed. I dropped my items off on Tuesday and picked them up on Thursday afternoon that was not a rush fee either, they are just really fast! I was happy with how my items looked when I picked them up. The service here is fast, good quality and offers great customer service. Glad I found my new go to for dry cleaning. read more

We are being stationed overseas and brought all of our uniforms here for cleaning before we left. After dealing with the movers and cleaning we completely forgot about the uniforms and missed our pick up time before they closed and they wouldn't reopen before we left. John the owner called and texted after hours and made a special trip just to get us our uniforms. This kind of customer service is extremely rare these days and if we're ever stationed back in Norfolk John has secured at least 2 guaranteed customers. Pricing has crept back up to levels from before it came under new management. Also, what appeared to be high-quality service about a year ago has plummeted, as I have experienced rude employee after employee. Finally, the nail in the coffin is their inability to clean a couple pairs of pants in three full, business days. That is, unless you pay the rush charge, which then puts the cleaning price significantly above average. It's a shame new management hasn't been able to maintain the improvements of a year ago. read more

I went In there today to drop off two dry cleaning shirts and 3 pairs of jeans to be fixed. The man who's name shows as KC on all my receipts appeared to be under the Influence, and let me explain why I came to this conclusion. He kept slurring his words, he couldn't type on the keyboard, he was swaying and falling all over the place and at no point did he ever speak in a full sentence to the extent that I could understand him. After discussing the fact that it would be cheaper for me to go get my zippers and just pay the service fee of getting them put on for 6 dollars each versus 16 dollars each, I told him I'd go get them. When I came back roughly 25 minutes later it took him another 10 minutes to look up my information because he couldn't type on the keyboard and he then charged me 49.50, when I told him he had told me I'd be charged otherwise he took the 5 dollars I paid for my zippers and discounted 5 dollars. I asked him why he told me something different 30 minutes ago. Mind you there are now 4 people waiting, and he said he was not even there 30 minutes ago. I was standing with him already ten minutes and I even showed him the receipt of the two shirts I just dropped off with him and all he kept saying was "i wasn't here 30 minutes ago" i showed him the time stamp 1:40 and his name and he was basically saying i was lying!!! i asked him what time is it now? he said 2:12.. I said that's about 30 minutes ago. And he kept denying we ever spoke In front of everyone! I will NEVER go to this cleaner again nor will my family or neighbors. We live just down the street from this place and even though it looks nicer than it did be before this KC person is not suited for the job and has terrible customer service abilities. His inability to barely speak or stand made it appear as if he were under the influence and it was VERY unprofessional and made for an extremely uncomfortable experience. read more

Just want to let everyone know what happened to my clothes when I took them to SUBURBAN CLEANERS. They are completely ruined and the manager/ co owner says they were like this when I brought them in and that is a lie. Wow I couldn't believe he told me they were already like this. God know what they looked like and I would not make a fuss if it was already like that. So please be advised that when you take your clothes there at SUBURBAN CLEANERS on 337 E. Bayview blvd and tidewater Dr. Norfolk VA they will mess your clothes up with all kinds of stains and blame you for it. When I got my clothes back the cashier guy noticed them after they were suppose to be cleaned and they were worst than when I brought them to get ' cleaned'. And rude man who I spoke to on the phone blamed all them stains on me well shame on you and I hope everyone reads this and take your clothes else where unless you want them ruined and blamed for it. How could he live with himself knowing he was telling a bold face lie blaming me. Stay far far away from that cleaners if you don't want your clothes destroyed. Very unprofessional, rude and a terrible cleaning business. I don't know how they are still in business with the way my clothes looked. I wish I could upload pictures of my destroyed clothes so the world or who every looks at this review page cause I don't want the same thing to happen to you.
