I had an exceptional experience using Suburban Florist on short notice to create and deliver flowers for a memorial service that was taking place 3.5 hours later, having forgot to place my order prior to the morning of the noon service on 11/17/18. I called promptly at 8:30 AM on Saturday morning and the flowers were delivered by 11AM and were exactly as I had requested it over the phone. I ordered a "very, very, very nice" bouquet in the $150-$200 range and the delivered flower arrangement was spectacular. The person who took my order over the phone was pleasant, courteous, efficient and helpful and made the entire experience easy and stress-free. Wonderful local florist that delivers in a limited area around the store. Fortunately my parents live in Bethesda, so this was a great option to send flowers as opposed to using the bigger online retailers. The Mother's Day bouquet this year was beautiful. I always have a hard time choosing so the "Designer's Choice" was a great option and my mom loved the design. I'm mostly annoyed that I haven't been using this shop for years now. read more

Hands down the best place to get flowers! A bit pricey, but so is everywhere else. They do have a great range of different arrangements, at all price points... It's always tempting to pick the most expensive one though! Our family has been using Suburban Florist for at least 10 years, and we can't say enough good things. You can always rely on them for consistently great, beautiful, and quality arrangements. Made the HUGE mistake of using another florist for one particular occasion, and the experience was a complete disaster. Will never stray from Suburban ever again! Terrible response to expensive arrangement dying in less than a week. I received their Zen Garden as a gift. They say they have a guarantee, but when I called them to report that the ENTIRE ARRANGEMENT, including orchids and hydrangeas, was dead in a few days, I was told "oh, yeah, that arrangement only lasts a few days. I hope you enjoyed it while it was alive!" They did NOT honor any part of their guarantee. She also tried to tell me that she had told me that they didn't last the last time I called about it, but I NEVER called them before. So either they have had many complaints about this and are confused about whom they have spoken to, or they just decide to plain lie about their experience in talking with you. I would never order anything from them. read more

I ordered from them the second time today and am super happy with their service. I wasn't aware that most florist shops are closed on Sundays in the area including suburban... But when I called in the store, the lady speaking to me was really nice and helpful... I was told they could do a Saturday flower delivery even though I had called in so late...Within 7 minutes or so.... My order was complete with the payment. I was worried about the same day delivery since the store closed at 3 and I called the same afternoon but the beautiful flowers were delivered on time. Can't say enough nice things about this florist after V-Day. Prices were competitive, and I had a great experience. I placed my order online, and the morning of V-Day, I got a call that the florist did not have my security code on my credit card and would need that for the order. I called them back later that day, and asked if not having the security code would affect my order, and the lady said, "No, it's V-Day. We were going to place the order regardless." Obviously, V-Day is a bigger deal to my girlfriend than it is to me, and that type of service is incredible. Oh, it was also snowing a great deal, and they still delivered my flowers! I think people who do exceptional work should be recognized, so I just wanted to say thank you to Suburban Florist. You have a customer for life. read more

My daughter received the most astoundingly beautiful rose for her preschool graduation today...hot pink, in perfect full bloom and fragrant as can be. Her 3-year-old brother somehow popped the head of the flower off and the owner happily replaced the flower with a laugh at the story. It was my first time in the florist shop (when I went to get the replacement) and I will be back. The shop was full of beautiful products and great customer service. Our family recently use Suburban Florist for my mother's funeral. We were not impressed with examples in the book for funeral floral arrangements. The owners were very receptive to our wants and listened to us when we explained what color schemes we desired and what flowers we like/disliked. We pretty much trusted the florists and let them design the arrangements themselves. They were absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't have been happier. After a disasterous valentine's day where another shop never delivered the flowers I ordered, I walked into Suburban Florist, explained the situation and arranged a post-valentine's delivery from this shop. The staff was extremely helpful and understanding and produced a wonderfully designed floral gift. The delivery person was very kind to my partner when he delivered the flowers and the shop staff even spoke with her on the phone to make sure she was happy with what she recieved. First class service, product and delivery from these folks. They will get my return business. read more

Thought I would try this florist for a corsage for my sons' homecoming date this fall. I made sure to call in advance and the employee was very pleasant on the phone. But when I picked up the corsage on Saturday I was very disappointed. I was in a rush and they were busy (employees very pleasant) so I didn't want to stir things up at the store. But for $30 I got three VERY small sweetheart roses. I'm pretty sure it was a boutineer with an elastic wrist band attached. I even checked the label to see if they gave me someone's boutineer by mistake. But it was correct and I saw the wristband. I'm pretty sure my mistake was telling them that I had a discount (BCC football fundraising card) card when I called in the order. Even with the discount I paid $25. I will not patronize them again - I have gotten full size roses in corsages from Giant and Safeway for less than $25. I will give my business back to the grocery stores in the future. read more
