Been to this location a few times to fill propane tanks for work. I have never had any problems with any of the employees here. The location is off of a two-line road in Kissimmee not far from a railroad track across from a yard that houses shipping containers. You pull up to a small parking lot and and walk up to the gate with your tank. Once you walk into the office, they a call out one of the workers to the gate who then puts the tank on a scale that weights it once then they fill it. They have always carried it back to my car for me as then it is pretty heavy. It's a shame that Suburban Propane has totally failed in the customer service department. Managers and sales reps just don't reply to emails or phone messages. I called Kevin (manager) in Kississimme over 2 months ago in hopes of using Suburban Propane. I was given an email address to send pictures. The emails did not go through??? I called a month ago and spoke to an agent. I was told to send her the pictures and she would forward them to Daniel. She received the pictures but no call from Daniel. As I read through the reviews, it's clear to see that I'm not alone. Suburban has done a poor job with others needing help. My question is: How do they stay in business? read more

Suburban Propane was my provider for years out of Deland Fl. That branch has been closed an this branch now services our area. I recommend you look at reviews from all area offices as they are run from a main corporate office. You will see a trend in complaints and issues. We used our Propane for our pool/spa heater, so we generally had it filled two times a year. I used will call, not the auto fill program. Over the years getting fuel was a process, each time the price would rise even to a point of almost $5.00 a gallon. Each time I had to say "that is too much", after being put on hold they would come back with a lower price, as much as $1.50 less per gallon. Why as a customer for almost 12 years do I need to go through this each time? I also called several other companies and found much lower rates, suburban would not match and you cannot get gas from another company in your tank. At one point they showed up, filled my tank without a request and left a bill for almost $600.00. After calling they advised it was a mistake and offered a payment plan. I refused and then they offered to drop the price to 1/3 of the bill. This year I decided to change companies. I had the new company come in when my tank was empty, remove the tank, put a new tank in, and connect it. They also filled the tank, all for less then a fill up from suburban. Now I am going on almost a month trying to get Suburban to pick up their old tank. I am on the 3rd appointment after no shows and reschedules because they are "too busy" to pick up this tank. Today again I was assured they would pick it up on the 31st of July. UPDATE: The tech showed up today, same day I wrote the review. He apologized for not getting by yesterday and also offered to make sure if I came back to Suburban at some point that he would personally see to it that my account was maintained better. I did appreciate him asking why I left and he truly did seem to care about a customer leaving. I upgraded my rating from one star to three because of his attitude and level of service. I still recommend people shop around, look at all reviews and negotiate. Having a tank installed is a long term agreement. Customer service is from start to finish, you never know where my next move takes me and what choices I will have for a provider. read more

If you have their equipment on your property, get it taken off asap. This is easily one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with, and by far one of the worst local offices. Donna is who you will deal with most, and she will refuse to do her job or be unhelpful for fun. She will speak over you, talk down to you, blame you and do everything but take accountability. Management is no better. I was hung up on by a "supervisor" named Alex after complaining about a $100 overcharge and broken equipment. Then the same thing happened with another "supervisor" named Kevin. They give these employees the option to fix escalated situations, but they choose not to. I can't say it enough, any other company would be better. Their communication is terrible, they're constantly raising prices without notice, and if you're new to using gas too bad because they won't help. read more

We agreed to go with this company for our fire pit, future pool kitchen and generator. They have been very difficult to deal with. You must get after them to get anything done, and my other contractors must work around their delays. I have no idea whether others are better, but I wouldn't recommend them. read more

kept me waiting all day for propane refill in Lakeland, FL. i was told it would be between 9am and 5pm. at 4:30 i still heard nothing so i called customer service was told someone would arrive by 7PM! Scott arrived around 6:30 and was very apologetic and professionally performed the refill and checked that everything was working. read more
