It's been almost a month and after numerous calls and emails all we are told is that nothing can be done and they don't have any ETA. When asked how much longer, they said it could take the whole summer or the year. We made a significant investment on these shades and now may have to purchase new shades since we have a shade less main living room window for almost a month.

The next few days I had other plans but on a whim decided to show up today. I also decided to bring the wand which needed a part & an existing wand which had a Shepards hook just to show them what Im currently using. The lady was behind the counter and was very nice . A tall guy with a beard helped me. Not sure if he was Bert. He look at what I had, I told him my story and he asked to take the wand w/o the hook in the back. While I chatted some small talk, he replaced my part and used some glue or adhesive and now it works again. I can open & close my wood blinds w/o standing on the couch. Great customer service! And I wasn't charged anything for this small part! I looked thru the internet real hard to find somebody and found 2 places on the west coast and if they even had it, it would several weeks and not 100% sure, it would fit inside the wand. So lucky to stumble upon somebody locally that was willing to help & had parts. I had called a place in DG that pretty much blew me off and said we don't have parts . Use this place! They are caring and nice. I think part of some peoples issues is they cant or wont communicate properly with this company. I think because I brought my parts in and was calm and had no expectations everything was fine. The problem in today's world is, everybody wants things yesterday. Crazy. Worth a stop here. I was initially referred to Can by my mother-in-law, who uses him for all her properties, including high-end condos and rental units in downtown. She even trusts him as her handyman. We recently moved into a new home that came with existing Hunter Douglas blinds. When we reached out to them for additional shades to match, the quote we received was astronomically high. That's when I knew I had to contact Can. I learned he had started his own company, Blink, and he was able to offer us nearly identical, high-quality battery-operated shades--at 80% less than the big-name brand! Doing my due diligence I sought a second quote from another company. The first thing he asked me is what brand and how old and told me where to look to find the information. When I told him the brand and model he told me that they were discontinued and were too old to be safely cleaned in his opinion. He turned down work in order to be honest and professional with me. I will steer clear of Lovitt needless to say!
