A classic drive in! You don't see those a lot nowadays - most restaurants that still call…read morethemselves drive in end up being more like a walk in. I personally don't like eating in the car all that much, so we were glad to see that Burger Boy Drive In also had seating along the front. It works exactly the same as driving in - one of the car hops will come out and take the order, and then bring out the food. We dropped in a bit after 6:30 pm and the place was completely packed, with basically all the drive-in stalls taken. We sat down and placed our order at around 6:40 and didn't actually get our food until after the place closed at 7! I was amazed to see customer after customer drive in past closing and unfortunately having to be shooed away. Green Chile Burger, 1/4 oz ($6.29) - This burger starts with a buttered and toasted bun, spread with just a bit of mustard on the bottom, followed by shredded iceberg lettuce, pickles, sliced onion and tomato. Then comes a burger patty cooked smash-ish style - flattened with some nicely caramelized and crisp edges, but not as lacy as I would typically expect. The burger is cooked thoroughly until a bit dry in the center. I thought this burger would be absolutely doused in hatch chile, but it turns out they just spoon a bit on top of the center of the patty. It's slightly spicy and imparts decent flavor, but not as flavorful as I typically associate with green hatch. The chile unfortunately is completely drained and doesn't contribute much moisture, making the burger sadly on the dry side. The dab of mustard on the bottom does not do enough to make up for the overcooked patty. (3/5) Fries, Large ($2.79) - These are the typical commercial crinkle cut fries, fried until nice and crisp on the exterior and leaving a fluffy interior. Not much else to say. Fry sauce can be asked for and it's the standard commercial sauce, which works great as the fries aren't heavily salted. (4/5) Buenos Nachos ($6.29) - Interesting construction, with smashed tortilla chips on the bottom, chili and nacho cheese sauce smothering the smashed chips, an additional layer of whole chips above that, followed by a top layer of lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, and onions. It's a pretty simple dish that works well together. The chili includes beans, but honestly isn't that flavorful though. (3/5) Burrito ($3.89) - I had no idea what to expect when I ordered this. It's basically a cheap frozen burrito that is deep fried. The meat puree inside is almost indistinguishable from textured protein, mixed with beans in a very salty and fatty mixture. The exterior is fried well to a crisp, without any leakage of the filling. (2/5) A lot of the 3 star ratings I give are because of major technical issues in the food. I can say that Burger Boy Drive In isn't really in that category. Instead, my rating is mostly due to food preferences. Hopefully my thoughts don't dissuade anyone from visited. Almost everyone seems to enjoy it, as the restaurant was pretty packed every time I drove past it. Bathrooms - I'm not sure there was one that was accessible for patrons. Maybe behind the building?

We walked in and were immediately greeted by one of the bartenders and told to sit wherever we liked. We found a nice booth off to the side of the bar area. Our server Patrick stopped by the booth and pointed us to the food menu in the chalkboard. We also had another server but I didn't catch her name. They were both very friendly and attentive. I ordered the special for the day. A green chili Rueben & fries. Wow, this sandwich was so delicious! What a creative combination of flavors. Even the slaw in the Rueben included the green chilis. The fries were hot and crispy. My husband ordered the spicy BBQ pulled pork tacos. He said the tacos were amazing and the flavors were off the charts. They were topped with a slaw and pickles. The side of "tortilla chips" had a dusting of a very flavorful spice. Not sure what it was but very tasty. Looking over the menu, this restaurant has some very creative dishes. We can't wait to stop by again! My husband ordered

So fun and friendly they moonlight as professional best friends. The pineapple salsa hit like a tropical vacation I didn't know I needed. Nachos were great -- no notes. The pulled pork was so flavorful it made me question my plain-chicken era. The brisket? Fork-optional tender. And the mac and cheese was so creamy it deserves its own zip code. But the real villain? The Chubby Cow Taco. I don't know what sorcery lives inside that thing, but it now haunts my dreams in the best possible way. 5/5 stars. Will return. Possibly tonight.

Once we were seated on the patio, our server approached and asked if our dog was going to be a problem, before she had done anything at all. I want to be fair: our dog did jump up on the server at one point, which is on us, and we take full responsibility for that. However, the unwelcoming tone was already established well before that happened. When our food arrived, my pulled pork nachos were cold; the pork, cheese, and chili all felt like they came straight from the refrigerator. When I mentioned it to our server, she immediately grabbed the plate, said she'd take it off the bill, and returned two minutes later with our check. There was no offer to replace the dish or make it right in any other way. The location and patio have potential, but the service and food quality fell well short of what we were hoping for.

If you are considering a place to eat in Cortez, Colorado look wayyyy further than McDonald's…read more First when we arrived 10:22pm we planned to order and eat in the dining room because we had a 20ft stock trailer attached to our dually pickup truck that we did not think would fit through the drive-thru but when we got to the doors they were locked. (Even though there was a sticker on the door saying the dining room was open until 11:00 pm). So like any average hungry person we decided to walk through the drive-thru which I was really excited about. We walked to the drive-thru, and even though there are no other vehicles, no one would respond to take our order, so again we take matters into our own hands and walk around the corner to the pay window. There are 4 employees inside staring at the upper corner of the building laughing and pointing at a camera screen (that I think is us). When the girl opens the window, my mom says, "hello we would like to order." The girl says they can't serve us because we were not in a vehicle. My mom asks, "Can you fit a trailer through here?" The employee says, "yes if you don't hit the signs." (This is after going back to speak to her manager twice.) We walk back to go get our vehicle because IF YOU ARE NOT IN A VEHICLE THEY WILL NOT SERVE YOU. And as we walk back we notice that the line has grown by 5 cars. By the time we get to our truck, 3 more cars have also joined the line. When it's finally our turn to order, we sit and wait again. (Our trailer has only cleared by a couple inches.) We finally order our food then proceeed to the pay window. Our truck and trailer barely fit through, using both lanes and hitting one curb. My mom has to walk up to the pay window because there was not room for the trailer to turn and line up with the window. As my mom pays, she asks why the dining room doors were locked before 11pm? And the lady replies, "on nights when we are short staffed we will often close the door early," and my mom says, "ok thank you," because we at least got to pay and proceed to get our food. We make sure we have everything we ordered, and luckily we checked because we did not have the nugget sauce that my sister ordered. Another girl walks by and gives us a weird look. My mom waves and asks for the sauce, and shocker it takes her a solid 2-3 minutes to get it. By this time the line is very backed up, and it is 11:09pm... to top it all off those were the worst tasting hamburgers that we have ever had, and I would say I have pretty good judgement considering we eat at McDonald's a lot for convenience, which we did not receive this time. So I hope your experience is better, but if it is late avoid McDonald's, especially if you want to save yourself about 50 minutes.
