The pastries here looked really good, but we got the breakfast burrito and omelette for brunch. The omelette was good and had arugula with gruyere, but the breakfast burrito was kinda mushy with sweet potatoes. The iced latte was also slightly too bitter for my liking.

The sheer busyness of this place attests to the good food. We had a late lunch here and it was still a long line to order. The line moved quickly though. We ordered the bb farm salad with trout and house smoked turkey sandwich. The piece of trout on the salad was large and tasty. The salad had a lot going on it: radishes, feta, dried corn, seeds and everything spice. Plus the dressing. The sandwich contained large slices of turkey. We chose a salad to accompany the sandwich for small charge. They have 5-6 different beers on tap plus cocktails and wine.

Thomas and Destiny were both excellent and took great care of us. Had the Tuna salad on sourdough bread with french fries, very good. The hubs had the Juan's cheesesteak sandwich also on sourdough bread with house made chips, delicious. For the dessert, we had the carrot cake and the red velvet cupcake, amazing.

Excellent experience. Definite must try if you were in Telluride. House made baked goods locally sourced coffees and really kind staff. Top-notch.

A perfect fried green tomato sandwich, must try.

Visiting Telluride for the weekend and forgot about it being the Telluride Film Fest. The town was hopping and lines out the door at every theater. We had heard that the best, fresh and tasty place in town for lunch was the Butcher and the Baker on Main Street. The line here was out the door, but we happened to snag bar seats. The staff here is very friendly explaining the food is made from scratch and farm to table. The line moved quickly. Everyone was "rubber-necking" the plates of dining patrons, so they knew what to order. Even though the restaurant is small, the vibe here is infectious and big. The menu here changes frequently depending what is in season and available. The lunch menu was intriguing and exciting. We ordered the fried green tomato burger with pickled onion, arugula and tomato aioli. The lightly cornmeal breaded tomatoes were crispy, perfectly fried and the aioli was spot on. A great idea and perfectly executed. I could of eaten two. The fries were fair, but the watermelon wedge was memorable. The maple ruby trout was seared and served with spinach, maple glaze, crispy quinoa, sunflower seeds, pear and a champagne vinegarette. This was light, tasty and had a distinct, but not over-powering flavor. The Butcher and the Baker is a true gem in Telluride with great flavor, good value and not pretentious. If you are seeking out a great lunch spot, don't miss the Butcher and the Baker. I'll have to return to the dessert cabinet on a future visit. Today's meal was memorable. Hats off to the team, great job!

You will notice there is always a line at this place. Once you eat here, you will understand why. As I stood in the line I saw the staff bringing up trays of fresh baked English muffins from the kitchen. I don't believe I've ever seen that before. The vast majority of establishments buy said muffins. I knew I was going to love it here! Got a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin (ofc) topped with a massive farm fresh egg and the most delicious sausage patty evahhhh. Dang. If only this was the kind of place that could franchise! And come to where I live!! I proclaim the grocery store variety English muffins will never be satisfactory from this day forward. Let me also shout out the croissant sammy. I didn't have it but my eyes were envious.

We ordered the ham and Swiss croissant, which managed to be both flaky/crusty on the outside and tenderly soft on the inside. A big hit with our crew! We also ordered the bread pudding, which was made with chocolate chips and a raspberry jam, but was a bit dense for my taste. And we also got the raspberry cheesecake, which we polished off in just a few bites, and was everything you'd want in a creamy cheesecake. The inside is a bit tight, especially when it's busy, but there's extra seating outside. Everything in the case looked delish, and we will definitely plan to be back.

Stopped by on my birthday for a quick breakfast during Camp Alderwild. The line was out the door, and now I understand why! Not only was the service great, the food was excellent. I also like the ambiance of the place and their cute pastry counter. My favorite part was the jam for my toast, it was divine. I can't wait to hopefully come back next time I'm in town.

We ate lunch here a couple days ago. We got a hamburger, chopped chicken salad, and cheesesteak sandwich. For dessert we got a lemon bar and eclair. Everything was mid. Nothing was bad but nothing blew us away. I was disappointed in the desserts. We all decided we wouldn't return here to eat in the future.

Mankind breakfast sandwich..very good and huge!

Food is farm to table and you can tell, very fresh and flavorful. Good cocktails, outdoor seating with big share tables. Staff is moving but super friendly. Interior has lots of info on farm to table about the farm. Highly recommended it!

We visited Telluride last week during the off season. Needed something light to eat after a day of traveling and tried The Butcher & The Baker. We ordered at the counter and chose a table by the window. They also have an outdoor seating area along the Main Street. My daughter tried the pumpkin chili and said it was quite good. I ordered the soup of the day and was also pleased- nice presentation too.

Excellent farm fresh breakfast. It's generally busy, go early. Order from the counter, find a table and food is brought to you promptly. We had a breakfast sandwich with two farm fresh eggs, arugula, and their house made sausage. Delicious way to start the day. Cinamon bun was so fresh, gooey and tasty--a really good sugar rush, first thing in the morning. Coffee is freshly roasted and brewed, served in a large mug. Ample seating available inside or outside -- lots of dogs outside, just so you know.

Very good. Food was delicious. Service was friendly. Crazy packed in the morning. Disappointed that there was only one restroom.
