I would compare them vaguely to McDonald's fries. So-so. The burger was about the same. So-so. The bacon was a small folded up single piece that did resemble bacon. The hamburger was probably a frozen hockey puck from the local grocery market at best. Deluxe means they add lettuce and tomato. The meal was under 20 bucks so there is that. If you are really desperate and drunk, then this is a spot to fill your needs. Burger King is nearby or DQ as a better option. If this place served fresh ingredients, it would do much better. Unfortunately, every chicken taco salad I've ordered since then has been a disappointment. I love that you can customize exactly what you want to add--or leave off--your salad. At around $8, it's a great value. You get a ton of food, and it doesn't hurt that you can add extra romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and other toppings at no additional cost. However, I've come to realize that it all depends on who's preparing it. Bring back the person who made my first salad, because the last three have been so bad that I started to question whether I actually had a great taco salad at Boomer's in the first place. One salad was mostly romaine lettuce with very little of the other ingredients, even though I had requested extra of everything. They also forgot the tortilla strips and the salsa. Come on--it's not a taco salad without salsa! The other two salads I ordered barely had any chicken in them. If I didn't know better, I would have thought I had ordered a salad without chicken. Boomer's, do better and pay attention to the details. Consistency matters. This could have easily been a 4-star review if you had been consistent with the four taco salads I've ordered.
