Done very right: turkey bacon avocado with fries. Terrific

Likely family run down home diner with hard working folks serving very good food in hardy servings. In this type of establishment, coffee is important to me. If it was fabulous, I would easily add another star. Plenty of parking and the friendliest folks.

We found this diner on Yelp and the reviews were legit. We decided to try crossing the border via Sumas instead of the usual Peace Arch crossing to see if it would be a shorter wait. Somehow it still took over an hour on a weekend morning. We were hungry and came here for a late breakfast or brunch on our way towards Bellingham. Everson is a small town and this diner is very popular. Parking is available in the lot. The diner was almost full house and we had to wait for the staff to clear the table. The menu was typical diner fares with specials on the board. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs with sourdough toast and it was so good! One of the better ones I had in ages. Best to have it when hot. I tend to be a slow eater and towards the end I was so full and the meat was also cool by then. Not as nice. So I didn't force myself to finish it. I tried a bit of the fried clams from my friend's po'boy sandwich. That was really nice too. Freshly fried and hot and crispy. The service was a bit slow as it was just so busy. We were not in a hurry so it didn't bother us much. I would return here to try other items if I am in this area again. Oh there is a discount if paying in cash.

A nice diner located right after the Sumas boarder. Yelper friend C and I came here for brunch. Their portion size are quite big. When we arrived, the place was pretty much a full house. There are not a lot of options if you want lean meat like Chicken. They do have some healthy options like veggies omelet etc. I ended up getting the fried clam Po Boy sandwich. I arrived 10:30 and lunch doesn't start until 11 am but the chef was nice to make an exemption. The Bo Boy was very delicious and everything was made fresh. Portion size was big. I had my meal side upgraded from fries to salad. The salad had almost everything from bacon, croutons, cheddar cheese, olives etc. I was thinking it would be a skimpy house side salad and I was wrong. The place is not fancy but they do have good food. C ordered the country fried steak and egg. She said it was delicious and she too could not finish it. Parking is free and there are plenty of parking spots in front of the restaurant. I do recommend trying if you have not been.

What a fantastic place. I have never had a bad meal here. Service is fantastic and the food is not to be missed. From the Po boy to the French dip... I am thankful to have this place to eat at! The prices are good and relativity to the quality and quantity of food that you get.

Very good comfort dinner food. They did over cook the eggs for my wife's eggs Benedict, they were hard yokes.

What a great outdoor eating experience, in a fun, DIY environment, with great care taken in food,…read moredrink, service, AND ambiance (beautiful landscaping provided by a renowned local nursery, and fun music ranging from funky R&B to alt and punk) served up from a clean, environmentally friendly (almost everything you eat from is compostable or reusable) shipping container in a bootstrap amusement park. (Whew, that was a long sentence!) Really one of the best burgers I've had in some time. A real old-school burger, that doesn't try to wow you with how huge or exotic it is - seriously, when they handed it to me in the brown paper wrap, I was a little miffed; I mean, $10 (I got the "R&R", the bacon cheeseburger variation) for something the size of a baseball? I thought, "This better be awesome..." It was. Juicy, perfectly cooked grass-fed beef, smash-burger style: thin, crispy at the edges but still pink in the center...topped with smokey bacon just the right size for the patty, gooey cheese, and lovely sauces that just soaked into the pillowy brioche-style bun enough that they only oozed out when I took a bite. It wasn't just good, it was masterful! Washed down with the local house IPA...my friend, I'm telling ya... In disbelief, I went back and ordered their signature burger. Another warm baseball was placed in my hand, wrapped in brown paper, but I eyed this one in anticipation rather than suspicion...would it be as good? Was the first perfect burger just a fluke? Oh, man. You gotta be kidding me. Another picture-perfect burger, this one with still-crisp lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion and a lovely, mildly sweet and tangy sauce that married all the beefy, gooey cheese goodness together and had me reaching for napkin after napkin. I haven't had a burger so good it made me forget my beer in maybe 20 years. Shazam. What beer? Get here and get some of this before someone screws it up. I'm serious. Oh, did I mention they have slushy drinks? And there's mini golf next door? Yep. Premium burgers. Premium Bellingham. Highest recommendation.

This summer, not so enthused. Convinced my husband to try their chicken sandwich ($11) and I ordered the fish sandwich ($13). We were charged $29 & some change. (do the math, which is obviously not their strong suit - more on that later). I was with a group of friends and should have paid more attention the overcharge at the time. When we got our order and walked it over to the wine bar, I had a tasty fish sandwich but on a greasy bun (yuck) and my husband was served a hamburger, not the chicken he ordered. It was a 2 item order and if the ONLY job you have is to get our order correct, just do it. BTW, the burger was $1 less than the chicken so at this point, we were overcharged close to $6. When I went to complain, the line was 20 people long so I just let it go. Today, during the Noisy Waters Festival, we decided to give them another try and I've been hearing how good their tots are. Tots were tasty for sure but barely warm. It was happy hour so we were charged $3.28 instead of $4 (great deal!). I handed the young woman a $5 bill and 3 dimes, saying I didn't need the 2 pennies back. She looked at me, quite bewildered, paused a bit and gave me back my 3 dimes, saying "I don't think this is going to help." I mean, I did save $0.30 but really?!?! It's Basic math!
