Done very right: turkey bacon avocado with fries. Terrific

Likely family run down home diner with hard working folks serving very good food in hardy servings. In this type of establishment, coffee is important to me. If it was fabulous, I would easily add another star. Plenty of parking and the friendliest folks.

We found this diner on Yelp and the reviews were legit. We decided to try crossing the border via Sumas instead of the usual Peace Arch crossing to see if it would be a shorter wait. Somehow it still took over an hour on a weekend morning. We were hungry and came here for a late breakfast or brunch on our way towards Bellingham. Everson is a small town and this diner is very popular. Parking is available in the lot. The diner was almost full house and we had to wait for the staff to clear the table. The menu was typical diner fares with specials on the board. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs with sourdough toast and it was so good! One of the better ones I had in ages. Best to have it when hot. I tend to be a slow eater and towards the end I was so full and the meat was also cool by then. Not as nice. So I didn't force myself to finish it. I tried a bit of the fried clams from my friend's po'boy sandwich. That was really nice too. Freshly fried and hot and crispy. The service was a bit slow as it was just so busy. We were not in a hurry so it didn't bother us much. I would return here to try other items if I am in this area again. Oh there is a discount if paying in cash.

A nice diner located right after the Sumas boarder. Yelper friend C and I came here for brunch. Their portion size are quite big. When we arrived, the place was pretty much a full house. There are not a lot of options if you want lean meat like Chicken. They do have some healthy options like veggies omelet etc. I ended up getting the fried clam Po Boy sandwich. I arrived 10:30 and lunch doesn't start until 11 am but the chef was nice to make an exemption. The Bo Boy was very delicious and everything was made fresh. Portion size was big. I had my meal side upgraded from fries to salad. The salad had almost everything from bacon, croutons, cheddar cheese, olives etc. I was thinking it would be a skimpy house side salad and I was wrong. The place is not fancy but they do have good food. C ordered the country fried steak and egg. She said it was delicious and she too could not finish it. Parking is free and there are plenty of parking spots in front of the restaurant. I do recommend trying if you have not been.

What a fantastic place. I have never had a bad meal here. Service is fantastic and the food is not to be missed. From the Po boy to the French dip... I am thankful to have this place to eat at! The prices are good and relativity to the quality and quantity of food that you get.

Very good comfort dinner food. They did over cook the eggs for my wife's eggs Benedict, they were hard yokes.

We were doing a little Sunday drive yesterday and ended up here for lunch. It's been on my list of…read moreplaces to try for years, but ended up being pretty disappointing. It was pretty busy, which seemed promising, and the menu was truly impressive. There were all sorts of options - from Mexican food to Asian food to Italian food. Not to mention, an impressive breakfast/brunch menu and several American-style offerings (anything from chicken strips and burgers to steaks and ribs). So maybe we should have just tried something else. Dude ordered the rolled chicken tacos, which he said weren't too bad. But my chile relleno...it was inedible. The pepper was stuffed with a HUGE chunk of cotija cheese. Yes, the menu mentioned this, but I hadn't really considered the ramifications. Cotija is super salty, and that amount of it being loaded into the pepper resulted in a non-melted, solid mass of what tasted like pure salt. The relleno was pretty much inedible. I removed the cotija and just ate the pepper along with the accompanying rice and beans. It was not my finest relleno moment. Other than that, the experience wasn't bad. The place is quaint and clean, and the servers were very friendly. I probably should have just said something about the relleno, but also I felt like it was my fault because the menu did specify cotija. I just hadn't considered how salty that might be. If someone from the business reads this, please try the relleno yourself - it was NOT good. :(
