On the way out, the cakes on the counter were calling my name. I got a slice of yellow cake with chocolate icing and ate it that night in my hotel. Delightful! This is supposed to be fast food, but I think we ended up waiting a good 30 minutes for our food. We were pissed. Food was pretty good but nothing to write home about either (Bojangles is way better and seeing they are in Roanoke Rapids; we should've gone there! Or most anywhere else). My friend said he would've just gone with McDonald's or whatever he knew, which I adamantly disagreed saying McDonald's is weak, but did acknowledge we wasted too much time with lunch. And I wanted to go to a place we couldn't get in our area. Cook Out would've been quick, but I didn't discover them until 2024 in southwestern VA. Even Diary Queen would've been quick and right by here. I really screwed up with this choice. No way of knowing for sure.
