At a fish house, the same heartfelt enthusiasm fuels their suggestions, their pride illuminating every dish they serve. But why is it, when we reach out about their pies--those tender, comforting slices--their response is silence? No advice, no hints, no warmth--just a cold, dismissive "I don't eat pie. It's been six years since I had pie. It's just not something I eat." Those are the words from the very people who work here, strangers to the simple joy that a good pie can bring. No effort to tempt, no desire to share a slice of happiness or to welcome us back. It's as if they've given up entirely on creating an experience, on making us feel valued, on making us crave more. And even as signs invite us to indulge--"Try our butter, cheese, fudge"--we walk away empty-handed, denied even a sample to taste the passion behind their products. This place, with its dusty buggies parking spot out front, presents itself as an Amish-inspired haven, yet it feels hollow--more of a tourist trap than a genuine slice of heritage. It's a place that seems to have forgotten the soul of community, the warmth of tradition, and the simple act of sharing something truly special. And I can't help but wonder--why settle for empty gestures and sterile responses? Why not open your hearts, embrace the spirit of true hospitality, and let us taste the love you claim to carry? I'll look forward to March 14.

Onion rings had not been invented back then. You don't need carbon dating to judge the age of the building. The design, the weathered wood trim and the faded discolored paint date the building somewhere between pre-Sonic era, possibly even pre-Dairy Queen. It had to be the hang out in Wagoner, in its day. It appears to be a family owned and operated business. My wife and I have grabbed burgers here several times over the past ten years. Nothings has changed. The flame still flares up on the grill when the cook flips the burger, confirming the char flavor will be present as advertised. It is a one-man kitchen, so your order may take a few minutes if they are busy. Good charburgers and onion rings. Today my wife had a half order of 3-way. The chili is very mild, lots of cheese and fresh chopped onions decorated the big bowl of food. Skip Sonic and McDonald's. Have a home town Son's Charburger instead.

They char their burgers and toast the buns to perfection. The cherry limeade was a bit tart for my liking. The onion rings were tasty. When we got there it was late so there wasn't anyone in the restaurant eating it was mostly drive thru traffic. The staff were friendly and fast. For a nice charburger this is the place to go.

The cheeseburger came slathered with an over abundance of mayonnaise and the burger lacked any seasoning at all. Can we say bland? The fries weren't salty and average. Now the good somewhat. I had the chicken strip basket with onion rings and they include coleslaw. The chicken strips weren't salty phenomenal. The batter was excellent and they came out magma hot. Their gravy is very simple, but very good. It also came with garlic bread which was very good. The onion rings had my favorite batter and were tasty. The only disappointment was the coleslaw. It was indescribably atrocious. I've never had coleslaw that bad. It was literally a task to get that awful taste out of my mouth. I'm sure I have PTSD from that coleslaw. The person who served our food was very nice and explained the daily specials to us. We will come back for the chicken strips and give another menu item a shot. As always, caveat emptor.

Everything i have had was cooked after i ordered it so it was super fresh! They have cowboy candy i think is what its called and it was great too. Their coneys are better then sonics in my opinion. They have decent burgers and their chicken tenders were killer. Im a big fan of this place now. The service is always great and everyone is so nice. Its truly a relaxed experience with great food being the outcome. They do accept cards and cash.

And, the burgers aren't even the best item on the menu. I'm pretty passionate about Karl's. In fact, this is the first place I drove when I got my driver's license on my 16th birthday. I've sampled a lot of the menu and have liked it all. The burgers are quite good - I've gotten the cheeseburger on many occasions and have yet to regret it. It's a pretty thick patty with cheese and all of the fixings you desire. I've actually never loved the french fries, but I've always liked them. They're a little thicker but delicious if you salt them up. A great option is the gyro - it's full of delicious lamb, gyro sauce, and vegetables, and is wrapped in a fluffy pita. This was my original go-to item. These days, I almost always go with the country fried steak sandwich combo. It's really awesome. A thick, crunchy, meaty, deep-fried steak covered with mayonnaise and vegetables. If I'm ever on death row (I'm hoping not to be), there's a good chance this would be my last meal. The combo comes with a drink and fries, so it's great to enjoy in the restaurant with access to the fountain for refills. Although the food is quite good, the service is second to none. I recently visited Karl's for the first time in over a year (and perhaps closer to two years) and they immediately knew my order and my name. How is that possible?! I hope my review makes this restaurant a little more famous. The name may not make the most sense, but it's good food and better people. Check it out.
