The rest of the table had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and Texas toast. The Texas toast could have used some butter. The batter on the chicken fried steak was perfectly done, light and crispy. Everyone at the table raved about the gravy. Sweet tea was...really sweet. I had the unsweetened tea, which i enjoyed. They offer a half sweet and half unsweet mix if you ask for it. I had the buttermilk pie, which is basically a chess pie. It was one of the best chess pies I've had on this trip. Bathrooms were super clean, which is important to me. Bottom line, this is southern comfort food, done right. Highly recommend if you're ever out this way.
