Luckily, I was able to find the secret entrance to the service area without having to get on thruway. While, I was so happy and lucky to find the secret passage was not so happy with my meal and the service received at this location. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of any of the locations on the thruway as they tend to be sub par. Location was not busy but staff took quite awhile to take and fulfill orders. Like all non freestanding locations they do not use the chick fil an app to take orders, earn points, and pay through app. Additionally, they do not offer chicken strips. Food tasted like it had refrigerator burn and had been reheated and did not taste fresh. Service was slow and had to wait a considerable amount of time for service. While it is a great fast food, food choice on thruway it is really not worth it given cost and quality of food.

I am so impressed with the redo of all the service plazas making them a cool, comfortable place to rest and eat. They definitely stepped up the game by adding these new retaurants.. Chick Fil-A, Panera, Dunkin, Starbucks, Burger King and sometimes Asian and Popeyes. I am not sure that everyone realized that Chick Fil-A would be closed on Sundays. But there are still many options. There are many places to sit and relax with tables to eat and they even have a row of message chairs if you need one. The bathrooms were clean and roomy with plenty of stalls. I do not usually buy gas here but there are plenty of pumps to help move the cars along They now have charging stations which is really a plus. These new rest stops are a magnificent improvement of what we used to have along the Thruway. I am glad that their finally complete - big and bright. The chicken tenders were actually pretty darn good for what they were and I was a fan of the breading. The fries were pretty top notch for fast food/rest area fries as well. I was in the middle of an 8 hour road trip, and needed to put something in my stomach. Ordered a coffee with cream and sugar and and impossible egg and cheese. The impossible egg and cheese was nothing remarkable, yet solid. I didn't expect an artisan croissant, nor did I get one. Sandwich was fairly well put together, no complaints on that front. The coffee was an absolute disgrace. If there's something that goes well with road trips, it's caffeine, preferably in at least a moderately tasty suspension. To call this stuff coffee though is an insult to coffees in office break rooms across the country. It was brown water that alledgedly contains caffeine, and maybe the tiniest amount of bitterness and acidity so as to minimize complains about why they are serving water with food coloring. I know BK isn't an artisan cafe, though, at least getting basic coffee right for the massesses embarked on a road trip worthy of a rest stop shouldn't be this difficult.
