My first experience with Popeyes chicken made me feel guilty with not much pleasure. Good, we split just one order as a snack and tasting purposes. The meat was crunchy outside and nicely moist inside, but the general flavor was overly oily. Maybe I'm spoiled with the air frying process I practiced recently, but it can't be the only reason for my disappointment.   The mobile ordering was currently unavailable. It actually cut the whole fun of getting fast food in half from the beginning. The $5 BIG BOX special offer came to $6, only because I couldn't use the phone app, obviously. The biscuit was warm and buttery, and the mashed potatoes were my favorite. The 'Cajun Fries' were tasty, but just lukewarm, too bad. Also the term 'big box' was just a catch in my opinion. There wasn't anything 'big' about it. Are we still in America? ;) The whole drive thru experience took us about three minutes and we ate in a parking lot for maybe three minutes more. So, Popeyes! Check! Maybe I'll try a different location for just a spicy chicken sandwich next time.
