My husband and I came in with a coupon for 2 footlong subs. The owner said no they didnt take coupons. No problem I bought a 6 inch and my husband bought a foot long. The owner came back out to remove meat off od mu sandwich stating "roast beef is expensive" one slice was left and after toasting was hardly there. I paid for extra meat to be put on and got my husband and I both a routine drink. She mentioned if we want a refill to let her know it costs 1$ for a refill. First of all, even with a "Buy two get one free FL" in the app, it was not a cheap sub. Staff was pleasant enough when I was picking up the subs, but they were definitely below par. I noticed that the bag was incredibly light considering there were three subs in there. We ordered tuna subs, but there was hardly any tuna on any of them and the same with the toppings. You practically needed a microscope to see any of it! They were extremely stingy with all of the ingredients; this is definitely not the kind of sub I want to eat. This is why I don't really ever order from this location. My son who happened to be visiting was paying for these subs, but I was really embarrassed for him that he spent his hard-earned money for such poor quality subs. I have had several different kinds of subs from other Subway locations in both Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania and I want to say that they were sooo much better. taste-wise and amount of protein/toppings and I feel a better value for the money. I absolutely WILL NOT be returning to this location! The only thing I can say that's positive is that the store looked clean and the order was completed quickly (but that's only probably because they didn't put much on the subs to begin with!). 3/24 - Wow, I don't even have words for what happened today. I ordered my sandwich and a salad, when asked if I wanted any sauce I said yes, the vinaigrette and the associated put vinegar on it, I asked if that was vinegar and she said yes, I said oh no I wanted a vinaigrette, she proceeded to argue and say yes it's vinegar and I said no that's not what I wanted, she then visible got annoyed then made a face started huffing and puffing and threw her arms in the air like I did something wrong...she didn't even offer to make me another sandwich. So I told her I didn't want it I would just take the salad, then she proceeds to take the toppings off the sandwich that had vinegar and PUT THEM BACK IN THE FOOD CONTAINERS! This is the same lady that everyone else complains about on their reviews...really the worst service. 2/2 - I ordered a DoorDash order and my sandwich was wrong, not at any fault of DoorDash because everything was correct down to the toppings and sauce but the meat was incorrect. I called willing to go back to the store and get the correct sandwich and after explaining myself for the third time and the woman pretending not to understand me I hung up. Decided to order online at subway because they have BOGO deal if you order online. So, let me say this, the customer service was great when I went inside to pick it up. I ordered steak and cheese and Italian sub which seemed very very light when it was handed to me. When I got home it was little to no meat on either sandwiches, my Italian sub scattered with mostly lettuce. Ugh! Definitely not the same amount of meat it use to be. Same with the steak and cheese. If you don't mind paying $15.84 for a #15 Turkey sub that costs $10.44 @ every other Subway, then this is the location for you. Otherwise, go somewhere else and get a better deal. This location is beyond belief, and has been this way for several years. Changes in management have made no difference whatsoever. Ask for a receipt and compare it to a receipt from any other Subway, then wonder why all of the pertinent information is missing - except the 152% marked up price. Very clean, modern, and well lit subway. It did have a sign on the counter alerting customers that they didn't accept national coupons, so that must be in response to the bad yelp review. My only slight criticism is that the tuna looked very old and off in color. I brought this up as that was my intended order. The girls behind the counter said she understood and immediately removed the container along with the scooper. She brought back a fresh batch and continued making my sandwich. I heard this place was infamous for having a terrible sandwich artist lady. My mother and I came in and got two sandwiches and she did not disappoint. The Spanish lady behind the counter barely gave us any meat on my moms sandwich. She also skimped me on some roast beef and when i asked for another slice she charged me $2.50 for it. She also tried to put old AF lettuce on my moms sandwich and when mom said she didn't want any old lettuce they lady became rude and started talking smack lol. Subway at 5390 Lyndon Dr. (Behind Sheetz) has permanently closed. If you enter that address on the Subway app for pickup, it will automatically change it to the one on Goodwin Dr (near Food Lion) without any notification. Went to pick up order (Lyndon Dr.) and a sign on the door says that they are closed due to technical difficulties, so we came home and ate. The Subway at Goodwin Dr. Called me 1.5 HOURS later to very rudely say that my order was ready and to come and get it. This man clearly does not understand the English language and will argue to the bitter end that YOU put in the wrong address! He was very belligerent and insisted that I was wrong and to come and get the order. Technology is great, but a simple glitch can really cause issues. Probably the worst Subway I've ever ordered from. Ordered 3 foot long and 2 six inch sandwiches in the app and picked up in person. Walked in to them pulling my order ticket off the machine.The employees were complaining that I didn't tip (before they knew that it was my order and I was standing at the counter). Why would I tip, all they did was assemble the sandwiches, didn't interact with me until the order was complete. I don't tip the McDonald's burger flipper either. The sandwiches were all terribly under made, less meat, cheese, and toppings than every other subway in Fredericksburg or Stafford where I normally get a sub for lunch (Later found out that was due to using the BOGO offer in the app, apparently the owner belives that BOGO means you get two half sandwiches for the price of one as they stated in response to the Google review). Signs up saying they won't except any coupons and soda fountain refills are a dollar each (not that I had a coupon or soda). Maybe they could turn a better profit by operating in line with Subway's business model and not going against their value sandwich shop model. Every person with cognitive reasoning ability knows that people go to Subway for cheap quick food. It is not a high-end restaurant, people go for tge deal. Honestly honor coupons and give service with a smile and you might be able to provide a respectable service to your community. My opinion is to just skip this location and order elsewhere. read more

Just purchased 2 full subs, one chicken, bacon, and ranch and the other a steak and cheese. Added 2 low calorie cookies to the order(I say low calorie because they were paper thin). The food was hard and tasteless, difficult to swallow. With the tip, came to a little over $30.00. I ate half. I told my wife that I would be afraid to use the other half as a starter for our wood stove, because this may burn the house down. Very disappointing experience with this place. The lady, "Maria" behind the counter was what looked to be training a young man and kept telling him everything he did was wrong. He did everything he was asked to do. She was very rude and impolite. Not the way I would want my son/daughters first job experience to go. Clearly the young man had vision problems and she was telling him CAN'T SEE? NO GOOD! After making him feel awful in front of the customers, she then asked me what I wanted. I gave her my order and she went off to go do something else and made me wait 10 minutes or more while she proceeded to take 8 pans of bread out to put cheese on top! Service here is always horrible. The staff ignore you when you walk in. If you decide to sit inside and eat your food you might be lucky enough to hear a loud conversation about how the manager of the subway doesn't care about the employees or schedules. I came in an hour and 15 minutes before closing to find nobody in the store. Eventually, a woman came out and said point-blank "what do you want?" I started to order and she rushed me along very rudely. I asked for my sandwich to be toasted and she rolled her eyes and said "fine." While I was getting the veggies on my sub, a boy came out and turned off all of the lights, turned off the open sign, and locked the door (keep in mind this was an hour and fifteen minutes before the closing time posted on the door.) I apologized and explained that I thought closing was the time posted on the door, to which she rolled her eyes again and said, "whatever." To complete my order I asked for provincial herbs which was a new item that subway has recently added to their menu. She said that she didn't know what I was talking about, so I politely pointed to what I wanted because it was right in front of her. She told me that what I wanted didn't exist or that I was saying it wrong. I told her that it was fine and we could just move on but she insisted that I told her what I wanted even though I had tried to tell her several times and she repeatedly told me that it either didn't exist or I was saying the wrong thing. She raised her voice at me and made me feel very uncomfortable and defensive. Eventually, she gave up trying to figure out what I was trying to say and I paid for my order and left. Had not been in this location for over six months; decided to visit after picking up a prescription from CVS. The first observation was that the place was chaotic-must have been five to six people in the sandwich assembly line with myself and another woman(multiple sandwich order) ahead of me and no one seemed to be aware of what the other was doing. I ordered the new Pit BBQ Brisket Sandwich. I have had it at several locations throughout Stafford, Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and each time it was consistently good. The sandwich I received was made with cold meat and cheese and no sauce. When I mentioned other places made it with hot meat, melted cheese, and BBQ sauce, I was told: "This is how we make it". I am assuming the place is under new ownership, because the staff was relatively polite, unlike the last time I was in there, however, in defensive of the previous owner, my sandwich orders were always accurate and to my liking. I went into this subway to use a coupon. I asked first if I could use it at this location to make sure that I could. It was a "buy a sub and 30 oz. drink and get a second sub of equal or lesser price FREE" coupon. I was going to get a sweet onion chicken teriyaki sub and a club sub because they are the same price. The person working there said I could not do that and that I could only get a sub free with single meat. That is not what the coupon states. I will not go to this subway again. If you are trying to use a coupon at this Subway I would advise you to go to another Subway. read more
