After entering the store, the place seems clean enough. There's a counter for the take out and ordering. The menu is pretty standard fare, including lots of grilled foods, tacos, and burritos. I ended up ordering the burrito bowl and the taco platter. Both dishes are made to order as you can see the chef in the area where you pick up your dishes. The staff is all friendly and willing to help if you need something like an extra plate or some utensils. The food was definitely the highlight. Maybe because it was made to order but you could taste the cheese as it's just about to melt between the layers of rice cooling down and the meat still resting. It was a good balance of the colder items in the bowl with the ones just prepared. The seasoning was just right as well. Nothing was too salty or overpowering to the point that I needed to get lots of refills at the drink fountain. The decor suggests that the food style is Ensenada inspired. In that case, I will have to try the seafood and baja style at some point. I definitely recommend coming here if you get a chance. And coming back multiple times if you have been here before.

Now, they are $4.50 per taco and $3.50 on Wednesdays. The fish tacos were a letdown for the price. The fried fish was centered in the taco and there was a half inch gap in front and back of the taco. They also skimped out on cabbage and tomatoes on each taco. The tortillas were stiff and overcooked. We also ordered 11 tacos and they only gave us 2 grilled chili's. The only good thing is that they brought back the red and green salsa squeeze bottles. We did get a large beans and they had a burnt taste to them. We used to come to La Bufadora because they were a in between a cheap fish taco and higher end like taco Nazo. Now they are charging taco Nazo prices but skimping out on the fish size and toppings. There are better places for the price.

I use to work here & lemme tell yall the management of this place surely needs to be studied.. the Indian lady everyone is talking abt is the store owner & she was (probably still is) the worst manger yet.
