My husband has been talking up Baker's drive-thru forever. Today was the day that I finally got to try it. I am sad to report that I was not impressed. We chose to dine in. The dining room was very clean and spacious and bright. It was nice to see that they were in the holiday spirit, as they had Christmas music playing . The cashier was very nice. I guess this establishment does not offer trays because our food came in bags even though we told them we were dining in . The burger was small. And although very well assembled, it was very bland and lacked flavor. The fries were pretty good and salted. Their medium drink was huge. My husband seemed to enjoy his meal. Their "hot sauce" Was nothing more than ketchup mixed with pepper. I would not consider this a hot sauce. Overall, I was very underwhelmed and I regret to say that I will not be visiting this establishment again. Sorry Bakers. read more

Haven't had Bakers in years and decided to stop in for a quick meal. I placed my order through the drive thru. The employee (Yesenia R.) took our order, when we headed to the second window, another employee confirmed the order. The order was wrong but she quickly corrected it. Yesenia then proceeded to the window and rudely handed our order. Her tone of voice was very aggressive. Geez I'm sorry YOU got our order wrong haha We stayed positive and did NOT match her negative energy. She obviously needs training in customer service. if you are ordering inside, they will refuse to take your order and force you to use the kiosk. I had a big order that I needed help with and they refused to help me and were very rude. The drive-through is even worse! The employees have trouble hearing what the customers are saying because the speaker system doesn't work properly. The customers have to constantly repeat their order! The management should go outside and listen to a few orders themselves. This location does not care about their customers and it shows. I ordered from the drive thru chili cheese fries and their newest dessert menu item called cinna-mini Baker's bites. The chili cheese fries were good but I would say the burgers and tacos are better if it's your first time going. The cinna-mini Baker's bites came in a pack with three. They were warm, covered with cinnamon sugar but the flavor was not the best and they were not that sweet. If I came back I would suggest the seasonal pumpkin shake. read more

Baker's used to be an IE legend. The fast food joint with a mystical quality about it. One of the first fast food places to merge American with Mexican food. Way before Del Taco and Jack in the Box. Nowadays their food is okay, their prices are exorbitant, and their social media presence is insulting. Baker's is not the same as it was 10 years ago, they have changed for the worse, acting like the boyfriend who cheats on his girlfriend because he does not care anymore and doesn't want to care. Telling your customers to "unfollow if you don't like" and "we're setting up a GoFundMe for you" to questions and comments about their corner cutting and AI usage is appalling. The reason Baker's is this way is because of the loyal fans who supported Baker's and wanted it to succeed. Baker's is not Wendy's nor Jack in the Box, yet they are trying as hard as they can to be them food wise and social media wise. Having a social media presence that treats it's customers like garbage is a exceptional way to damage the Baker's reputation. The only thing worth getting is the Frynormous. Baker's is the only place that offers good value for the amount of fries that you get. They are not the best fries but they are the closest you'll get to a McDonald's super size may it rest in peace. Okay, maybe the milkshakes... Other than that, Baker's is not worth your time anymore. Unless somebody buys the chain and makes improvements. I do not think they're going to last. For what it is, I loooooove Bakers!! It's my fast food guilty pleasure when I'm in the IE. The original taco is my go to and dare I say, I prefer it over Del Taco or Taco bells. I ask for onions and top it with their hot sauce and habanero ketchup *Drooooool* I never had an item I never liked! The chicken and steak soft tacos are delicious and their tator tots stay crispy. It's not the absolute best burger ever but it's not the worst. Is it worth the hour drive that I do from OC to IE? For me it is, I don't know why but I am never disappointed with one of their double bakers. It reminds me of a wannabe in n out if I could describe it but don't worry it's not close. The burger is always juicy and full of cheese and sauce. The service is what you expect from any fast food joint. It's not the best but today wasn't bad at all. I went through the drive thru yesterday. I noticed the window person, who was also the store manager wearing disposable gloves. Which I thought was great until I observed her touching the ear pieces on the order microphone, the screen to input the order, the cash register credit card machine which was all fine UNTIL I witnessed her touch the fry container with food in and then the inside of my food receptacle to expand it before putting my fry's in the bag and again touching the ear microphone all WITHOUT every changing her gloves. I placed an online order for a bean and cheese burrito budget meal along with a couple other items and came across a system error. The budget meal automatically comes with fries, but I guess when I went to go check out/ add the item there was a system error and it automatically came with tater tots instead of fries. When I came to the drive thru I explained kindly to the lady working and she told me there was nothing she can do because it's a system error...I was very confused as to why she couldn't switch out the tater tots for fries when we both knew it was a system error. She explained that there was absolutely nothing she could do to help and escalated the situation by giving me a ton of attitude and was very dismissive. I was so upset because I come to bakers very often and always get the same thing and was confused why this was such a huge deal? I did not purposefully add tater tots, it was a SYSTEM ERROR, and frankly I was upset that I was paying for something I didn't receive in the end. She was unwilling to help me in any way. I am hugely disappointed and disgusted by the way this was handled. I truly never write bad about companies or about any complaints but I'm still baffled as to how she handled this. It was the location on south archibald avenue in Ontario, CA. It was the "shift lead" working the night shift on 2/17/26. This place has absolutely zero customer service. Their hand hygiene and food handling is extremely unprofessional and disturbing.....I asked for no sour cream on my fries and they put it on anyways. I corrected them and the lady goes "oh okay" and proceeds to take it back into the kitchen and tells a young new employee to scrape it off and put more cheese on it to cover the mistake like I couldn't see them the whole time......it would've been easier for them to remake it and a lot more hygienic than them putting their hands in my food. Not only that, my boyfriend ordered a chicken sandwich which was terrible. It had no flavor and was dry.....I drove back to let them know to see if I could exchange it for something else since most places will do so....but NOPE. NOT BAKERS. When they asked why I wanted to exchange the item they asked "what was wrong with it?" I replied "it's no good. It's dry, flavorless and my boyfriend can't even eat it. Can I just exchange it for something else instead of wasting my money?" They said "it's not our fault if you don't like it, it's what you ordered. We can only do something if something was actually wrong with it....like a hair in your food or if it's not cooked right". I literally looked at this girl like she was crazy because of how calmly she said this too me. After telling her it was my first time and this is a terrible experience, she said "we can make an exception this time but next time make sure you read the descriptions"....... Me and my family were in town from AZ! The food and customer service might be better at a different location. The poor customer service and lack of care in getting the order's correct created a horrible ambiance for me ,even for fast food. We were so excited to come and get some Bakers because it's a nostalgic treat we don't have in AZ! I was so sad that the experience let us down not once but twice at this location over the past weekend. I understand everyone may not like their job or may simply be having a bad day but if it's not the customer causing you pain don't be rude to them ya know? Each time the customer service was horrible it's like everyone felt pained to even have to speak to the customer. We were trying to use the ordering kiosk for the first time (again we're from out of town) and we were having difficulty adding meat to the tostadas. When we asked for help the Bakers employee rudely just kept saying you press add although we expressed several times we couldn't see where you go to add. After frustratingly fumbling with the kiosk and being basically ignored for 10 minutes or so we figured it out. However when we went to pay we still needed assistance from the employee because in order for your food to start being made you have to take your ticket and make a payment. We told the employee we finished ordering and needed to pay where we then had to wait an additional 15 minutes or so before she finally assisted us in paying. We were calm, polite and considerate and she was still so rude and nasty to us the entire visit.
