They have a cool layout with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a cool area downstairs too by the water with tables for people to wait at. The place just embodies a beach restaurant. Food You had me a "Fried Green Tomatoes". I am a sucker for FGTs! So I was instantly drawn to this location. We visited first to get food to go. We enjoyed the food so much we returned two more times! The kids really enjoyed the kids meals, and my wife tried several seafood dishes and seemed to enjoy all of them. As a vegetarian my selections were limited but the stuff i did try was good. The Drinks We ordered a few of their mixed drinks and I wasn't really impressed. They all looked a lot better than they tasted. They did have a really good beer selection and I was able to enjoy a few beers I had never heard of. Service Definitely the Highlight of our visits, their servers and bartenders really seem to care! They spoke to everyone, they interacted with our kids, they never forgot sides, they moved with urgency, I could go on and on. Kudos to Shaggy's staff as a whole for really making our visits special. I definitely recommend giving Shaggy's a try.

I also had to add my own cream, which made it seem like hot coffee might be more their specialty. The food itself was solid, though a bit on the pricey side. The scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast were decent. The poached egg with salmon on grilled eggplant and arugula was tasty, and the home fries were a standout--unexpectedly excellent. Service was attentive and kind throughout, which I appreciated. However, the wait time after ordering was noticeably long, and there was a 3% convenience charge for using a debit card, which was noted on the receipt. I don't typically give less than 4 stars, but this feels like a place that could easily improve with some small adjustments.

As any parent knows, dining out with a baby can sometimes be challenging, but Melissa made us feel completely welcome and comfortable throughout the evening. We enjoyed wine, appetizers, and several entrées, and she was wonderful about accommodating customizations and special requests. What really stood out was how genuinely kind and engaging she was with our baby and she took time to play with her, made her smile and giggle, and truly helped make the night special for our whole family. The food was fantastic, the views are absolutely incredible, and the atmosphere is hard to beat. The outdoor patio and bar area are especially beautiful. After dinner, Melissa helped us relocate outside where we enjoyed more wine and dessert while taking in the view. And whatever you do, don't skip the crème brûlée, it was the perfect ending to an already amazing meal! The entire team was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the level of hospitality we experienced was exceptional. Bad ass coffee is right. Their coffee is smooth and flavorful. Having just finished a vacation on…read morethe islands, I can attest their bitterless Kona coffee seemed to be the real deal. It left me with a mild buzz, no jitteriness and minimal acidity. I will say though that LA has led me to be more of a coffee snob than I realized. Don't expect a heart poured into your latte. Service is a bit slow. The gal at the register didn't know what they were out of and had to check anytime someone approached the register to order and asked for a food item (none coffee). And because this is one of the few legitimate coffee places around, it's extremely popular so the line quite literally goes out the door. There's also limited waiting space inside. All that being said, their coffee was very good. Just know before you go. They maybe in Florida but they're on island time!
