Great beach views! Naked yellowfin tuna blackened cooked Paytin wad an attentive server, refilling my drinks when needed. I sat in upper deck in back - an a/c unit at door made horrible noise my entire dinner.

They flat out lied. Actually looked forward to an environmentally responsible restaurant in this plastic ridden town and I was truly let down.

Really blown away by Crabs! It's one of many beach bars on the strip and wasn't expecting anything outstanding but was happily proven wrong. The service was great, happy hour can't be beaten, and drinks were delicious. I loved their frozen key lime drink and love that you can get it in a to go cup for the beach. The oysters were actually so delicious, it was quite unexpected for such a casual spot. Really wish I had time to try the sushi but maybe next time. Love the location, right next to a volleyball court and steps from the beach!

View is a 10. Service and food maybe a 6. It's a busy place right on the beach. Open bay windows with a good beach views are great. We ordered off the brunch menu on Sunday, but I believe the entire menu was available. We got the hush puppies appitzer which was good. They do bring out complimentary beinets which were just fried biscuits (but this is Florida not Louisiana so I'll let that slide). The server was nice but busy! A different person brings out your order. They brought out completely the wrong meal for me. I challenged him on it and he still insisted this was the rise and shine I ordered... But it was a crab omelet. Found that out the fun way. Good thing I'm not allergic, I just don't like a lot of seafood. The waiter didn't come back around until plates were nearly finished. Luckily my sons French toast was enough to share because it was a huge plate. My food was disappointing but the rest of the family enjoyed theirs. Yes, I let the server know, but by the time he made it back around, it was way too late. Your on island time, don't be in a hurry.

Expect to spend a lot, but can't say it's not worth it. Loved the Great Balls of Fiery Crab appetizer, and the Crabwacker was shockingly good.

Orange cheesecake-it's HUGE! Share between 2-3 people. Even better than key lime pie and the death by chocolate cake!

We gave crabs another try and we just can't seem to enjoy the place. The food is decent, but the seating and loud atmosphere is too much to contend with for a nice meal out. The high top tables next to the band stage made for a stressful meal. At the price we paid, would've Bennett nice to at least be offered seating elsewhere. The snow crab good, but they give scissors now to open them with. It did not pass as sanitary, but whatever works.

The view and food was fantastic! Definitely recommending sitting on the bottom floor outside where you can see the sunset. Great service, quick to bring out the food.

    Can confirm.

You can't miss this place: just look for the huge, red building that pretty much blocks the view. But hey, once you get inside, the windows open up to Pensacola Bay and you get a beautiful look. Crabs on the Beach is very much a party going on. It is fairly loud, there is a lot of swag, and the drinks are huge. If you're feeling saucy, then give the Crabs' Jar O' Rum a look. A mason jar filled with pineapple & orange juice, dark rum, and coconut rum, served over ice and easy to drink. It helps wash down what is run-of-the-mill shrimp and crab, which is not to say that it is low quality, it's just that they could do so much more. Their sushi game has quite a range, both nigiri and sashimi, and is crafted fresh daily. Salmon & yellowfin tuna are featured and the rolls have all kinds of variety. But don't miss the poke bowls featuring tuna, salmon, pickled veggies, and more. The bowls are fresh and sensational, and here's a tip: this might be the best to-go item on the menu, because it's not fried nor hot and the flavors have more time to blend on the way home. Service is good but not great, and seating is plentiful. The view on the second level is pretty spectacular on a sunny day with the calm & shimmering sea laid out before you. Enjoy the view, maybe turn a blind eye to the level of noise, and savor some seafood. *And skip the Crab Nachos. They're overrated and the portion size is obscene, with chip-to-protein ratios that are heavy on the corn side. Lesson learned.

The food was really good, there are a lot of options. I was nervous that there was only going to be fried food, but they have food options for everyone, including sushi! The cocktails are yummy and reasonable prices. The service was amazing, we had two girls, one was in training, but they were simply amazing and attentive although the place was packed. The manager I must highlight because he exceeded his role to even bring us menus and utensils to the table. Ambiance was nice, they had live music, it was a Friday night we went. I will say the wait is long, but put yourself on the waitlist and it goes by quick. By the way, if you have kids there is a super cool playground where you can see them and it's pretty safe.

We are local and I had never tried this place. I didn't realize it was connected to Flounders and McGuires. The food did not disappoint. My mom loved her fried shrimp. I got the shrimp salad and it was HUGE. My only complaint would be you can't eat it easily with so much stuff. I asked for a second plate and took out som of the lettuce so I could mix it up. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. We sat out on the deck and could see the water. We will return.

Very nicely themed crab decor! They have an attached gift shop for souvenirs. The strawberry smoothie was a nice nonalcoholic option. The fried honey buns were great! Very filling so be careful!! The appetizers we ordered were the chicken wings and stuffed crabs. Both very delicious. The crab bisque was definitely not for me. It was way too under-seasoned and disappointing. I ordered the crab cake with shrimp and enjoyed it. The pineapple coleslaw was surprisingly very yummy, as someone who doesn't normally like coleslaw! I would definitely order again. My friends all ordered the shrimp boil. As people from Louisiana, we have definitely had better shrimp boils. This one was more just like boiled shrimp. A little underwhelming for being the entree. Our server Isaac was a good server and thorough with the descriptions of the menu!

This is the second time we are visiting the same place. We had such a wonderful visit last time we wanted to come back. We ordered bloody Mary's and frozen margaritas, shrimp taco and mango shrimp salad. Our server was Elijah and he was very attentive and kept checking on us. We sat outside and there was a live performance and also presentation by the chef. We were surrounded by very nice people and we felt like home.

Crabs on the Beach in Pensacola was awesome! We ordered the shrimp nachos and the snow crab and everything was absolutely delicious. The shrimp nachos were loaded and full of flavor, and the snow crab was fresh and perfectly cooked. We ended up doing takeout so we could eat right on the beach, which made the whole experience even better. There's nothing like great seafood with an ocean view. The food traveled well and still tasted amazing. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're in Pensacola!

What all is in the she-crab soup?

How do I get on the waitlist?

You have 2 options. You can either go there in person and be put on the waitlist. Or you can use the yelp app and get on the waitlist through the Crabs page. I'm not positive if you have to still check in with the host after going on the waitlist… Read more

It seemed as though the dinner crowd started to thin out around seven to seven thirty. When we were seated, the first available was a two seat high top next to a column in front of the bar. 5/10/2026: Grand Marlin is top-notch!…read more We had an incredible experience here on May 10th. Our server, Brittany, gave excellent service and was incredibly accommodating. Since the three of us in our group aren't big eaters, we asked to split a portion of everything we ordered, and she didn't blink an eye. We started with the BBQ shrimp, which was fantastic! It's not a heavy, traditional BBQ flavor--it's more of a rich, New Orleans-style sauce. With six shrimp total, it was perfect for splitting, especially with the delicious bread served alongside it to soak up that amazing sauce. Nom!! Two of us split the wedge salad, and Brittany happily accommodated our special request for ranch instead of blue cheese. Our other friend had the kale salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the main course, the three of us split the filet mignon, which came with a dollop of mashed potatoes. The char on the steak was absolutely fabulous, and the potatoes paired with it perfectly! The restaurant is fairly dark and can get a bit noisy on busy nights, but we enjoyed our time immensely. Grand Marlin has private rooms and is easily the most high-end restaurant on Pensacola Beach. Our total was $178.00 before tip, which is well worth it. The attire ranges anywhere from dressy to beach casual, they have several great seating options for special occasions, and there's even a gift shop with some great finds. For anyone who remembers, this used to be the Boy on a Dolphin years ago. As an honorary Pensacolian since 1975, I consider myself a bit of an expert on all things Pensacola Beach--and you won't be disappointed here! Pro tip: Get a group photo by the bay before leaving. Even at night, it shows off those perfect Pensacola views.
