First, I would like to highlight BRECK or BOCK I can't remember his name correctly but hands down has been the best server I have ever gotten EVER! Food was absolutely delicious, everything we ordered on the menu was good, I want to debunk all comments that say it's only fried food, there is far MORE!!! The ambiance is pretty cool, kid friendly and live music, the band was amazing!!!

Going back to Flounder's is like returning to a beachside fever dream you somehow enjoyed the first time and deciding, "Yeah, let's spin the wheel again." And somehow, the sequel still works. The place remains gloriously over-the-top. Part seafood restaurant, part nautical museum, part "did someone buy out a Bass Pro Shop liquidation sale?" Nets, ropes, buoys, random fish decor, and enough maritime chaos to make you wonder if your waiter is secretly a retired captain. It's loud, touristy, slightly ridiculous, and honestly half the fun. This round, I went straight for the Flounder Chowder, and here's the pro tip: the "award-winning" label is not menu fiction. It's absolutely worth ordering. Rich, creamy, loaded with flavor, and the kind of chowder that makes the whole table go quiet for a second because everyone suddenly has the same thought: oh, this is why people talk about it. This is comfort in a bowl with just enough Gulf Coast swagger to make you want another spoonful before you've swallowed the first. Then came the Yellowtail Sushi roll, which was already a favorite, but this time it showed up drizzled with orange juice. Yes. Orange juice. On sushi. At first glance, it sounds like the kind of culinary decision made during a kitchen dare. But somehow it works ridiculously well. The citrus hits first, bright and fresh, then melts right into the clean yellowtail flavor and turns the whole bite into this sweet-tart, refreshing little flavor bomb. It shouldn't make this much sense, and yet it absolutely does. Weird on paper, genius on the plate. It's officially my new favorite roll there. That's the magic of Flounder's. Just when you think the giant tourist-ship atmosphere is the main attraction, the kitchen sneaks in something unexpectedly excellent and reminds you why this place keeps pulling people back in. Four stars. For the chowder, the orange-kissed sushi, and for once again proving that beneath all the nautical chaos is a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. Also, if anyone judges orange juice on sushi, they simply haven't evolved yet.

Busy, just like the last time we visited. They seated a part of 6 fairly quickly. Ambiance was wonderful, we sat in the heated patio area. Which was great. I wanted the chilly weather and half wanted warmth, so it worked. It's been 6 years since our last visit. As with everything prices have gone way up. I wasn't impressed with my meal. Nor was my teen. The oysters appetizer was the best part. The drink was mostly mixer, and not alcohol. For the price it was disappointing. I'd return for the oysters, now that we live close. I'd skip the rest.

My wife and I were in town for a weekend getaway and stopped by Flounders after an afternoon at the beach. We came straight in to our table, I had the Firecracker Shrimp Tacos and my wife had the Seared Ahi Tuna Tacos. Both were excellent and plenty of food. Wayne was our server and was very attentive, courteous and thorough. It was moderately noisy, but we could still talk to each other without shouting. I wish we would have had room for the Key Lime Pie dessert, but the Tacos were too much

We had a great time at flounders! Our server, Trish, was very sweet and conscientious of my gluten allergy. She offered great suggestions and modifications to held accommodate. The bathrooms are spacious and seem handicap accessible - the overall ambiance of the restaurant is comfortable with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Our food was delicious and for the price, it is a great deal! Highly recommend this stop!

I wanted to try so many things on the menu here, but just didn't have the stomach space! I tried some sushi to start and then went for a fried fish po boy. The sushi was good and the po boy was delicious. The breading on the fish was very nicely spiced and had a great crunch to it. I tried dipping in the ranch as well and that was a good call (as always). Our server was so chill and helped us find what we were after, providing great suggestions. The decor and lighting in here was a lot fun, contributing to a fun experience. It was a great spot to hit after a day out and about. I also opted for some diesel fuel and it definitely hit the spot

This place was recommended by a local. I just happened to be staying just down the road. The place was busy and full on a Thursday night in the off season. I wonder why. I'll tell you why. The food is fantastic. I sat at the bar and met up with a tender by the name of Gubob. He's been there for ever. You can't miss him. He recommended the Poke Wanton appetizer. And then he recommended the Snapper Blackened. OMG. Both were amazing. The flavor really worked well together. The snapper was flaky and full of flavor also and very fresh. Atmosphere was rustic, old ship feel. Very cool. Reminds me of an place in Key West. Oh. And you have to try the home made Key Lime Pie. Dang, that was some goodness. These guys know what they are doing. Great service. Awesome food. Large servings. Highly recommended.

Diesel Fuel and baked oysters!! This place is great when you hit the beach with a group of people and need some good food!

Our view and server were unmatched!! The weather was perfect and crisp and the food was fresh and tasty. We ordered the blackened fish with the garlic butter on the side and it was to die for. We also tried their sushi which was really fresh. I opted for a virgin Piña colada to go and it was yummy but a little too sweet for my liking. Overall 10s across the board. If I'm ever in Pensacola again I will be returning!

We came to this restaurant without big expectations and were truly surprised. It was a busy lunch time yet they have plenty indoor and outdoor options and they are dog friendly. I had Fish Po'Boy and Chowder and my husband had Chowder and Ahi Tuna salad. The food and service are truly phenomenal, prices are affordable and portions are generous. Definitely a place to come back to.

Always a blast! The spot is right on the Bay and it's absolutely stunning. They've got a playground for the kiddos and sand volleyball for the adults. The staff is super friendly and top-notch. The food and service? Always the best. Today, we kicked off with some awesome rolls and house-made honey butter. The Deviled Crab basket was a steal for $9.99 - four deviled crabs and fries! We also devoured the Spinach and Shrimp dip. My Yellowtail Sunrise sushi was a dream, perfectly put together. Huge portions, tasty drinks, gorgeous views, and fantastic service - it's a top family spot!

It was OK. I had the blue frozen drink that came with the souvenir glass and it wasn't very good. I also had the Baja fish tacos knowing they were made with flour tortillas but the tortillas were not even warmed up so I didn't really like them. The Parmesan baked Rockefeller oysters were very good. The stuffed flounder was good for the for the first couple bites but started tasted funky after the third bite or so. The shrimp and bacon Mac and cheese was the best thing on the menu that we tried hands down. My baby had the corn dog and she didn't like it either lol. The fries were good though!! Our server was really good, his name was Prince and the hostesses were a little snobby. We initially asked to sit outside and the hostess took us to these blue picnic tables- granted I was with my in-laws in their late 60s so we then asked if we can sit inside instead so we can have seating with backs. And then the hostess got on her little microphone and said we wanted seats with backs and rolled her eyes while saying it, she didn't think I saw her but that was just rude. Anyway- the ambiance inside was super chill and beachy. It was nice to see the bird when you walked in but overall it was OKAY. Will I come back? No.

Over priced tourist trap, food was not fresh tasting, save your money. Best thing there was the live music.

Our final day and, we decided to end our little cocktail afternoon along the beach resorts with some live music. We walked in with our hotel room cocktails and quickly ordered two more while we negotiated a seat to view the band. While ordering our drinks from the far side of the rear bar, I noticed there was remarkable sound from that vantage. I summoned the wife to the spot where I was, and we sat and had a couple of drinks and ordered a 'bar' pizza that wasn't too bad . . . almost good. We then noticed an area up front by the stage and proceeded to enjoy the remainder of the show that ended around 8pm, if I remember. I am understanding this is of the best music venues in the Beach area. Good stage with excellent sound from a very good cover band. An early night of fun then back to our group staying at the Surf and Sand across the lot in the back. It's not a far walk at all. Good spot! CritDicks
