I have visited this restaurant on a regular basis since I wrote first review…read more Today? I went to get my usual take out and saw two boys working, whom i have never seen. I did ask where the usual gals were. Jessica, one of the boy's mothers came out. I ordered usual. I took it home. Bag with gyros in it was soaked with oil. I took the gyros out. Oil was saturated through two things of foil, dripping onto my floor, and my hands were saturated. I had to wipe them off with paper towels. I called to speak to Jessica, reported the situation. She just said she would tell them to use less oil. She did not seem to care. I tried to eat one, soggy, oil soaked, and not much in it, nothing like usual. For a price of 33$, one drink, two gyros, one fry, two deserts? Not worth it, Ambiance was the same, a few people and nothing special. Obviously these kids did not know what they were doing. I will NEVER return again, I threw both gyros away. Waste of money. I ate a few bites prior and feel sick. I would no longer recommend. They are searching for manager and assistant. I am very disappointed. No understanding, caring or empathy involved. Smh, money is tight. Ps: A few bites and two hours later sick, cramps and nauseated. Never again!!!!

It is WILD to me that arguably the best barbecue in Siouxland is essentially a pop-up inside of a…read morebar downtown. Melting Cow knows what they are doing with a smoker and I am here for it. Whether it's their brisket, pulled pork, Mississippi beef. (my favorite), macaroni and cheese, or even their smoked cream cheese, you have to try it for yourself. When we were there yesterday, a woman told me she drives from Ponca just for their barbecue and walked out with a whole tray full of ribs. It's that good. Make sure to watch their Facebook page for updates on when they will be open and when they are sold out for the day. They also will give you a preview of what the menu is for the day and what is upcoming. I hear the seafood that they do is amazing. I can't wait to be there for that sometime. If you're on historic fourth in downtown, Sioux City, you won't see a restaurant with this name. Look for the bar Major's and as long as they are serving, you have found your place! This place is a sports bar with plenty of TVs, beer on tap, and your basic mixed drinks. So grab some barbecue, grab a beer, and watch a game while you stuff your face!

Me and another group of people were looking inside and nobody was there but they accepted the door dash order and it was a battle getting the order cancelled. Came all the way over here and these people can't even do basic operations to a business like be open when they're advertising they are open. Typical Sioux City nonsense.

I'm going to stretch out and give this place the 5th star! I typically try to stay away from…read morerestaurants that have a denomination before a family member, because they're usually a train wreck. Like "5 Guys" (which is absolute garbage, and I have no idea how this place stays in business, because I've never seen a single one of these have any customers inside) But I'm digressing, and I'm glad I gave this place a shot! I walked over here, and I walked through the patio dining area, through the patio entrance/exit, not realizing that the main exit was just around the corner of the building but I made it in anyhow. The kid up front was super nice, and asked me where I wanted to sit and I chose the bar, naturally! This place is super clean, even the bathrooms, so that was really nice. A bunch of TVs, and I think I even saw signage for live music on Fridays? But it's a pretty big venue, and they even have their own private dining room for private parties, at least I'm guessing. My bartender, was a spitting image of a woman I know in the town where I live, in the Eastern Sierra mountains. I literally had to double take and triple take to make sure it wasn't her. But unlike the lady I know, this bartender was nothing short of excellent! One star goes for the knowledgeable bartender, and the successful owner knowing that 'extra lime' means WEDGES, not WHEELS. It wasn't too busy in there, but she was really attentive to the bar patrons, and was on top of her game. Everybody sitting at the bar area, were so nice to one another, we were all talking and I ended up meeting this really nice, older gentleman that I chit-chatted with up until he left. I love the fact that the people here are so open and comfortable with one another and can engage in friendly banter. So that being said, my bartender constantly kept an eye on me and never interrupted my conversations when she wanted to offer me another drink or to order supper. She always timed it perfectly right! I'm on a no carb kick, so I ordered the smothered pork chops, with steamed broccoli and asparagus. Man, was it good. Those asparagus were popped down over an open flame and roasted, and even though very simple and basic, some of the best asparagus I've had at a restaurant ever. My whole trip was very enjoyable, and it looks like I'll be here in Sioux City for a few more days at least, so I will probably poke my head in there, this weekend! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS PLACE. I eat all over the country, from fine dining, to little holes in the wall in the deep south. This right here is a sure bet! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149.
