Went into to go get lunch and upon getting there they had nothing restocked to put on a sandwich they have it where you cannot see the cold cuts or meat to put on a sandwich their vegetables were dried out and chewy their service was very bad they had also no bread but two types available and when I got to the front of the cash register I inquired about the prices something and the worker was clueless to the price definitely one of the worst subways I have ever been to Will not be going back there read more

On 12/4/25, we ordered 2 sandwiches online. A cold cut combo and a spicy Italian. Her sandwich was put on wheat bread instead of the Italian and no mayo, plus it wasn't cut. Mine was on Italian instead of wheat with zero sauce, plus it wasn't cut. Making a sandwich isn't rocket science, but the kids they have working there don't care about quality or customer service. I visited subway in Sturgis SD 3/2/26 at aprox3:15 pm. I got a footlong build your own oven roasted Turkey sandwich. When I left and was driving down the road I noticed a rank smell. I got to my destination placed sandwich in frig and came back to eat a short time later. I did notice a smell but I was hungry,I took about 3 bites and it was disgusting. Left a horrible taste in my mouth like I cant even explain. The smell lingered in my room all night. Something in the sandwich was rotten. I did notice the lettuce looked close to being unusable but I got some on my sandwich anyway. This was the 3rd time at this store that I saw yucky lettuce. One other time I ate it and the other time had spinach instead. I have left 3 voice mails and here it is Wednesday 3/4 and no one has bothered to call me back! I did get ill 3/3 because of the taste I cant get rid of, its disgusting and all I can taste is the rot! I would not recommend eating here. They have mixed reviews but more negative it seems. The food quality is not good at all! Dont get ill just eat at any of the other places Sturgis has to offer. read more

We arrived around 10:00 a. m. to order a footlong sandwich. Evidently they received a large catering order right before we came in, because the two counter workers got busy making multiple sandwiches and never bothered to take our order. Finally, after waiting for about thirty minutes, I told my husband that we should just leave. Then one of the workers said they hurried up to get the larger order done so he could help us. I am sorry, but when you have a paying customer in the store, you put the larger order on hold for a couple of minutes to take care of the customer who took the time to come in. Then, when I asked if they put the sauce on the sandwich, they told me I forgot to ask for it! I ordered a specific sandwich that called for the garlic aioli sauce. When we ordered two beverages, I had to ask for the second cup, because they only gave us one. What should have been a quick lunch turned into an hour-long ordeal! I doubt we'll be back. read more

My mother in law and I, she's 76, came to this location for dinner. The sandwiches were ok. I've been to better Subways, but, the reason I'm writing this review is because of a cookie. Mother in law finished her sandwich and decided to get a cookie. When she sat down to eat it, it was soggy. Like literally wet. Not sure if it wasn't cooked but a few minutes or what, but it was disgusting and wet. When she went to the counter to ask for an exchange for another cookie, the girl at the counter was incredibly rude. It's a small sitting area, so everyone could hear the conversation. The girl looked at her and said, "Well, I'm not going to be able to sell that to anyone else". My mother in law replied that it was inedible. The girl turned and looked at a man who I'm assuming was a supervisor who said, "Just give her a cookie". The girl was visibly irritated and when she went to shove the cookie into the bag, she broke it into several pieces. My mother in law said, "Well, now it's broken". The girl, in a nasty tone replied, "Yeah, because I broke it". I stood up to raise hell and my mother in law said that we just wouldn't come back to this store. She's right about that. Not only will we not return, but I'll be posting this review in every place I can and contacting Subway corporate. Is this how you treat the elderly Subway. Unbelievable. read more

I love Subway, however, the app you need to use to order online is Horrible! Twice now I've tried to order our food online to pick up and it's slow going just to try to look at the menu and pick what you want. Then, when I try to pay for it the forms don't work right and I can't finish the darn order! It's so frustrating after you've wasted a half hour or more just trying to place a lousy sandwich order. The crew is great at my store but the app to order from is pitiful at best. I believe I won't get my points that I was going to get on the last order I tried to place but had to print it out and just take it to the store! There went 53 points..... Maybe some upgrading in the app to make it a bit more user friendly so people can order your products read more

The Subway app offers a buy one foot-long get one free. I got onto the app today and it has been changed so the order cannot be paid for online, but has to apparently be taken into the store to be scanned. When I got into the store and showed the worker at the register the square that has to be scanned, he had no idea how to do it. There is a little device near the credit card machine to scan the little square, but he said an order has to be placed before it can be scanned. The order was on my phone on the app, but no one knew how to do any scanning so the order can be placed. Management needs to be able to show any of the workers there how to work with the Subway app so people can place orders. Extremely disappointing! Not sure I'll be going back. read more

Like so many other times this restaurant has failed. I walked in this morning to an employee on their phone in the lobby, they looked me right in the eye and walked in the back area. Thought they were coming to help but no. He just walked out the back door and did not even acknowledge I was there. The other employee did the same and stayed in the back messing with a trash can. We have had consistently bad service here. I work in the area and we have had more than one occasion where it has taken more than 30 minutes to get a sandwich with no one else in the lobby. Sturgis Subway is the absolute worst place to eat since under new management. We have used the Subway app. 2 times and both times the orders haven't been started when we have gone to pick them up and they aren't correct when we get them. Tonight we even received burnt bread! read more

Disappointed. This is my local Subway. Last time we went it was 6:00pm and we were told they were out of soup. Common sense says if your running low before supper rush you make more. Now they no longer carry spicy mustard. According to employee because not enough people like it. What about those that do? Since the new owners have taken over, this subway is AWFUL. My coworkers and I used to eat here at least once a week for lunch...Now I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Last week, flies were crawling all over my boss's sandwich. They reluctantly replaced it. Last night, the woman making my sandwich coughed all over mine and my husband's sandwich! Gross! Then they denied that the sandwiches were coughed on. Umm...No. I stood in front of her and watched her make both of them. I have been a local here for 12 yr.... this used to be the absolute best Subway.... unfortunately something has changed. The new employees and environment is so bad and sour, I wont be going back. Service is slow, flies crawling on my sandwich while they make it, NO basic understanding of sanitary food handling. The previous employees made you feel welcome and always appreciative. The new ones.... dont. Too bad, I spent many lunches at subway. Luckily we have lots of options here in town.... including a real sandwich shop.... Apparently new owners have changed things and not for the good. Was there for lunch between noon and 1:00, on 5/8/18 and stood in line a long time with a line to the door. Only two people working. If you work, you only have a lunch HOUR. The people that have been there for 10 years have quit. Now I know why. Well, tonight I went to get a wrap. The sign says any sub can be a wrap. Well, that's not what I got told because they have to be a double meat, 6.99 wrap. I don't want double meat and only the signature wraps are double meat so the any sub can be a wrap is a farce. He said he'd charge me the same amount for 1/2 the meat. I won't be going again. Apparently they don't want to accommodate their customers anymore. I feel bad for even reviewing this Subway. However I was in the Subway back in 2010 and the young lady must have been having a bad day. I stopped to get a breakfast sandwich. Subway was running specials on Tv and internet so when she rang it up and the price wasn't right I ?d her and she got defensive and as far as I remember her mouth and my mouth and we got into an argument and she went in the backroom and apparently cried and called the manager and got me booted. I didn't even know about being booted at that time until the next time I went in and she said she didn't have to serve me and I asked her why what did I do and she just walked away. so I called the manager and she told me then that I wasn't allowed in there as long as Christina was working. So after about IDK a year I figured things were over with and I stopped in there and didn't even get in the door and Christina was yelling at me to leave I wasn't allowed in there. hmmm ok? So I called corporate and the owner. About 2 weeks later corporate sent me an apology and a gift card for $25 and the manager sent me a letter telling me that I had gone above her head and it wasn't appreciated and that I still wasn't allowed in there. I started getting brave about another year later when Ron came home from Afghan. with him and the kids only when Christina wasn't there. All was fine then out of the blue about probably a month ago I went in there with my 14 year old and didn't even order anything just was going to pay for my sons sandwich and Christina was not there and Jenni started yelling at me when we go to the register I wasn't allowed to pay in there. I said I didn't order anything and she would not even let me pay for it. I had to leave the store and let my son go back with cash for him to get a sandwich. Now even tho the owner has told me I am welcome to come to her store in Lead, SD 10 miles away. I wont. My family and I drive 17 mile to the Spearfish Store which has great customer Service. read more
