It's a $7++ for a croissant and $5++ for a coffee, it's supposed to be high end coffee. 1st time here but the persons with me today says it's usually not like this, hope she's right. What really appealed to me about this place is that it's the first real "entremet" type bakery I've seen in Tampa. And I must say, the presentation of each item I purchased was impeccable - you can tell there's a high degree of skill and craftsmanship behind these treats! I ordered a total of four desserts: a slice of the Goat Cheese Carrot Cake, the Boozy Orange Chocolate, the Piña Colada, and the Strawberry Japanese Cheesecake. - Boozy Orange Chocolate: I was on the fence about getting this one, and ironically it turned out to be my favorite item! The various alcohols/liqueurs infused in the mousse and custard really come across but aren't overpowering, and the zing of the orange jam provides such a delightful contrast! I also loved the additional texture from the crunchy praline bits - really good dessert! - Goat Cheese Carrot Cake: first, I just want to say I'm obsessed with the gold sheen of the frosting, this is one of the prettiest cakes I've eaten! That being said, that outer layer of gold frosting seems to be a plain buttercream and taste-wise, it was a little bland and I wasn't a huge fan. But the middle layers of frosting/filling is where you can taste the tanginess from the incorporated goat cheese, and I LOVED that! The cake itself is also very moist and well-spiced, and I love that it didn't have raisins or other fruit in it - just the occasional crunchy nut! - Piña Colada: what really made this dessert for me was the cinnamon rum roasted pineapple. Its intensely sweet but pairs really well with the more mellow coconut mousse surrounding it! The almond financier at the bottom didn't really add anything to it for me, but also didn't take away from it either - it was just there, and that's ok. :) - Strawberry Japanese Cheesecake: this is a solid dessert, and probably the most visually stunning. But I'd say it was my least favorite out of the pack, only because I found the overall flavor to be kind of "one note" in the sense that every element was some version of sweet tasting and creamy textured. I tend to enjoy desserts that have a contrast somewhere - like the zingy orange and crunchy praline on the Boozy Orange Chocolate, or the tangy goat cheese and crunchy nuts in the Goat Cheese Carrot Cake. So while there was definitely nothing wrong with this dessert, it just didn't excite my tastebuds the way the others did. Overall, I thought this was a delightful little shop and a great addition to the Tampa "foodie" scene! I came here for the first time and asked for a specialty croissant and was responded with "I'm not sure how many online orders I have taken so I am not sure if I have enough to promise that you will be able to get one". I'm sorry but as a customer I don't need to know that you are not organized enough to account for your orders. I just need to know yes or no. Then I was told to stand back in line if they become available as they are first come first serve. I was already in line. This made no sense to me, and then the chef herself told me "that's why when we have specialty items" it's better to preorder them." What type of customer service is this? This was my first time there, I had a sweet tooth pregnancy craving and came on a whim. Five minutes later the specialty croissants suddenly became available and she said oh hey there's some left but you'll have to stand in line again, mind you I was sitting inside the bakery already as a customer. Really impressed by the atmosphere and decor they created inside this place. It's located inside a strip mall off Kennedy. You are greeted with plants and the kitchen to where you meander over to the best part: the dessert and patisserie viewing area. They're stunning and equally delicious. I had both the spinach and Gruyère quiche and the caramel banana tart. I got Myself a cute little blood orange tea to suck it all down. The spinach and Gruyère quiche was yummy, much more eggy and cheesy than I anticipated. It was a bit moist...But hey, I've been used to Panera's now so I will definitely go back and try again another time. Now the Caramel banana tart was to die for. Covid got you down because you can't travel anywhere. Well, come to Sucre Table and take a bite out of a buttery perfectly crusty melt in your mouth croissant. I felt for a brief second that I was back in Paris sitting outside a romantic bistro...it was that good! We enjoyed a delicious croissant as well as a goodness filled flaky griffin pastry complete with a gold leaf embellishment. If you need something to wash it all down with, they got you covered. We had the delicious and photo worthy ube chai latte and it was delightful. It was just the right snotty of sweetness and dairy free to boot. This is one of the most inefficiently run operations. Painfully slow service. The counter people bumbling around doing random things and getting nothing accomplished. It would have been amusing if not for the fact that it took ridiculously long to get our order, all of which was already prepared. All they had to do is box it up. Meanwhile, the line is getting longer and longer. We were at the table questioning why a manager hadn't stepped up to intervene and speed things up. Been meaning to stop in ever since a co worker introduced me to their pistachio croissant (decadent!), so did on a Saturday after lunch. It's a small upscale bakery, emphasis on the small side. Not much selection, which isn't necessarily bad if their focus is to concentrate on high quality pastries. I got the pistachio croissant again, but was a bit surprised at the $10 price. My hubby went "all out" and got one $15 slice of chocolate lavender cake. I can definitely say, we had some yummy expectations of this cake. But we were a bit let down. It was a tasty cake, but we didn't think it was special. Could've been a good cake slice from a number of other bakeries. The price point they set creates an expectation, so I feel that contributed to the let down. Sadly so. The service at the counter was bland and cold, so not matching the nicer decor and atmosphere. There is seating on the inside, and a couple of tables outside as well. So the answer to the magic question is, probably no on returning. One thing about a bakery is we like to eat with our eyes when scanning what to order. There's not alot to scan. The price is a high but honestly that wouldn't bother me if the quality matches. Since having seen them move next to my beloved Chicken Salad Chick, i have been dying to check them out and was so excited to finally get my opportunity to! I'm always on the market for new dessert shops and after perusing the menu of all the delicious sounding sweets they had, I dropped by to grab two items that caught my attention: their hot chocolate bourbon cake and the chocolate praline pastry. The cake slice is rather MASSIVE, dense in feeling and very big on flavor, screaming decadence. Its an airy chocolate layer cake with bourbon buttercream iced between the layers (and i can definitely taste the bourbon!) with a thin layer of chocolate in between as if the cake itself already wasn't indulgent enough! Next i had the chocolate praline: it was a chocolate shell filled with an an airy chocolate mousse inside and crunchy praline nibs in the bottom. Delicious. They offer a huge assortment of baked goods and coffee products in addition, which i am stoked and eager to try in the not so distant future. Each dessert was fairly pricey (the cake was $15, praline $12 respectively) but considering the massive size of each piece and the high end ingredients, its well worth it! So I'm going to start off and say this place is unlike any other pastry shop in the area that I have found and that is a good thing. I've gotten put off for so long due to the high amounts of sugars used in so many pastries these days that I kind of just stopped looking. So much, that I decided to try and pick up making pastries myself after going through Dominique Ansel's Masterclass course. This for years now has been my goto approach to enjoying good croissants, arlettes, Kouign Amanns and others. It honestly blew my mind that I lived in a big city and had such a hard time finding a true authentic, well made pastry, but it seemed to be the case. My wife however found this diamond in the rough, Sucre Table and after perusing the images, I could tell off the bat that this looked visually to be legit. I think my heart skipped a couple beats in hopes that they tasted as good as they looked. We live in Odessa so it is about a 45 minute drive here and we happened to be in the area with some family and my wife wanted to drop in. I was hesitant at first as it was the end of the day and I was concerned about the freshness. However we were here, so I figured why not. She picked up an Orange choco bar, chocolate praline and a croissant muffin. Now please understand if you are someone that loves loads of sugar in your desserts, then this place isn't for you. However if you are someone that enjoys the textures of a flaky pastry, the incredible flavors and silkiness attained in the making of a proper mousse or rich decadent chocolate then you have found your jewel in Tampa. I was so elated when I bit into the croissant muffin. This was my favorite of the lot and mind you this was the end of the day. Next time I'm showing up at opening hours to savor this delight to its fullest. It may sound silly, but the croissant even gave me something new to strive for in my own croissants. The flavors played off each other so perfectly and I truly appreciate the effort that clearly went into making this with such perfection. The chocolate praline was my second favorite. The rich chocolate fires the endorphins in your brain and then that perfect crunch form the hazelnuts just set this over the top. After tasting their chocolate here, I can tell quality ingredients are clearly used throughout and you are not getting something cut immensely with sugar. This would pair exceptionally well with an espresso and be an amazing way to start any morning before work. The Orange choco bar was my least favorite. Not that it by any means was bad, but the others just stood out more for me and had more of that "wow factor". This combo you can't go wrong with and it was good, but the others seemed to touch on a number of levels in the experience for me, where this had good flavors, but that was it. I'm going to go on record and say, that I am truly excited about this place. Even though it is a little bit of a drive, when the product is this good, it is worth it. I wish for the utmost success for Sucre Table as places like this are unfortunately rare in the area. I hope they stay true to their quality and should the time ever come down the road where you are faced with whether to lower the quality of your ingredients or to increase the price of your delights, I say to go with the latter. Your quality is what sets you apart, so please don't settle! These pastries will keep me coming back for more and more for years to come! read more

Not only was everything incredibly aesthetically beautiful, but both things were maybe two of the most delicious things I have ever consumed. WOW. It kind of tastes like love. Oh My Goodness!!!! I struggle to write this because I know the more business they get, the more difficult it will be to get my paws on their incredibly delicious tasty morsels! It wasn't packed, but there was a line and it took awhile. They didn't quite seem to have the process down for selling their treats, but I have NO problem being patient and boy am I glad I was.... For someone who doesn't have a sweet tooth, it's a perfect bite with the tart, the soursop and topped Passionfruit jello. Of course, always pair it with a latte. Visited this gem of a patisserie very recently and was pleasantly surprised by just how delicious everything was! Aromas of freshly baked croissants greet you as you enter, as did the lovely front of house staff. Had work canceled this Saturday morning so decided to detour. I've been obsessed with finding a a good croissant lately (thanks Instagram) and I stumbled across Sucre Table. Got there 30 minutes before opening and before they were open people were lining up to be the first inside so make sure you get there early. Decided to go with two breakfast sandwiches two chocolate croissants, three regular croissants and a sticky bun. I can say with all honesty I think the breakfast sandwich has dethroned my all time favorite (classic bacon egg and cheese on Cuban bread toasted). This sandwich literally had me contemplating if I should lick the wrapper to get more of the honey from the bread. 12/10. My wife and I both were pleased with the chocolate croissants, regular and sticky bun. Even ordered two salted caramel lattes. They were definitely salted and weren't as sweet as I would have preferred to offset the salty but if one likes salted caramel I think you'll like it. Although this place is a bit expensive (everything I mentioned was $89 dollars) I think it's a nice treat And I must say I experienced ZERO buyers remorse.
