After her pregnancy she eventually entered an inpatient addiction treatment program, where the MD stated that the ramp of opiates Dr. Toig had prescribed would have created an addiction in anyone and it was as if it was intentional. I then discovered a friend of mine had also seen Dr. Toig, and I will relay the facts of her encounter. Dr. Toig had performed a surgery to improve her fertility but erroneously left gauze inside of her, unfortunately rendering her infertile. Dr. Toig's office promised to somehow make this right, but was slow to act until they ceased corresponding entirely. My friend and her husband then decided to pursue a malpractice suit but legal counsel advised them that the statute of limitations had passed, coincident with when Dr. Toig's office stopped corresponding. I'm giving a 1-star review because my experiences were about as bad as can be.

He informed me that adjustments need to be made at least yearly and that applies to all wearers of hearing aids. I informed him that the cheaper Apple AirPod pro now can be used a hearing aid. It was superior to my more expensive Resound hearing aids before the recent tuning. The Apple could be used as a standard due to its online testing of one's hearing profile.

I have been seeing the same audiologist - who also is an audiology professor - for over a decade, but she was out of network for my employer's insurance plan. Better Hearing Center was the only place within 40 miles that had the Widex brand I wanted, so I made an appointment. Dr. Mark recommended the Resound brand over the Widex I originally wanted and he was absolutely correct due to the advances that Resound had over the older Widex models that I knew about. I would put Better Hearing Center into the "hearing aid mill" class of providers. Dr. Mark is personable and took the time to answer all of my questions during my initial testing and delivery appointments. However, I felt that my hearing test and hearing aid configuration were perfunctory. And when I called, emailed, and asked for assistance through the app to tune my programming several times around 14 months after I got them, I never got a response except from the office manager who told me she would pass my message along. I paid my long-term audiologist to take over management of my hearing aids so that she can tune them for me going forward. She made some small EQ tweaks and one VERY MAJOR change. She showed me that I had the wrong wires (#4), which were so long that the hearing air hung down behind my ear so that the front-facing microphone was hidden behind it and not picking up sounds from in front of me. That may explain why I couldn't hear in restaurants using the advanced beam-forming technology that was the main reason for choosing this brand. I remember asking Dr. Mark why he didn't use the wire-length template and he told me that he had enough experience to not need it. Guess that wasn't true. To sum up, Better Hearing Center may be your only in-network choice, and going with them is not a bad decision. Just be aware that you may not get the right configuration or follow up care that you need until your insurance pays for your next set of hearing aids. I am 9 months away from that and may need visit Dr. Mark again for an upgrade.

(timeframe 1yr of back and forth correspondence) Think its fixed, then get a new bill for 4k for the same thing- at this point will prob need to get an attorney involved. From induction to delivery and postpartum care, the nurses and staff were incredibly attentive, supportive, and kind. Giving birth is not easy, but I felt genuinely cared for by the Labor & Delivery team and the lactation consultants at Sequoia Hospital. Every nurse and lactation consultant I met was amazing. I especially want to thank the nurses who supported me during delivery and postpartum recovery -- they not only provided excellent care, but also made my stay exceptionally memorable. I wish I could remember everyone's names! (Room 3348 from 4/23/26-4/25/26 and Room 3118 from 4/25/26-4/27/26.) The rooms and hallways were always very clean. The postpartum bed for new moms was surprisingly comfortable, and the guest beds in both the delivery and postpartum rooms were comfortable as well -- my husband had no complaints! They even provided pillows and linens for guests if needed. The hospital also provides three meals a day for moms, and the food tasted much better than I expected. My husband and I were especially grateful for the mini kitchen -- apple juice and soup broth were basically the only things I could tolerate after getting the epidural. And called me out for flinching when he was giving me multiple injections. no hello, how are you, let's get started. Just walked I. and started shoving needles in my back. Then left. I had to ask the nurses if we were done. The scheduling staff and procedure office seem to not talk to each other. Went back for follow up appointment. Waited in lobby for 30 minutes before I just left. 15 minutes after that, the receptionist called me to ask if I was still keeping my appointment. Since I said no, she said "OK , I'll just cancel it.". and hung up. No "Do you want to reschedule?". or "How can I help you?" I'm currently looking for a new doctor.
