I was surprised, yet not surprised, to see several customers dining in especially with temps being in the negatives. I went with the pork broth, chashu pork, ramen noodles, fried garlic, green onions, bamboo, and an over easy egg. The broth amount was generous and creamy-ish. It's a small spot with some indoor and outdoor seating. The staff and service was absolutely amazing. They helped us decide which ramen would be best and allowed for customizations. We got the spicy black garlic chicken ramen and the classic chicken ramen. The spicy black garlic had the most incredible broth. It was spicy and tangy and salty. My spice tolerance is pretty high so I think I could've definitely asked to make it spicier than it was but nonetheless, loved the flavor! The chicken was tender, the egg was perfectly cooked, and the other toppings went well with the whole dish. The classic ramen was just as good! The broth was definitely much more mild but if you don't like spicy, it's the way to go! The chicken gyoza was pan fried and came with a dipping soy sauce. Found this place on Yelp when looking for a new ramen spot in the area. The service was amazing. We walked in and was met immediately with a smile and friendly service. We ordered the spicy Sudooku black ramen, deep fried gyoza, chicken karaage, and chashu buns. If we ordered just the ramen and chicken karaage I would give this place three stars. It was pretty average. The black garlic in the ramen was a little overwhelming. It took away from the flavors of the broth. It was good just had too much garlic. The chicken was good just a little bland. But the gyoza and chashu buns were absolutely amazing! If you go here you have to try it out for yourself. The chashu buns were especially good because after we finished all our food we got not one but two more orders to go. I'll definitely be coming back to give the ramen another chance because I want to get more chashu buns. read more

When we first walked in we noticed that almost every table was full. My husband and I sat at the long table with bar stools. We were greeted right away with a bottle of water and a menu. There are so many great menu options and it was hard to choose. We ended up ordering the Karaage Chicken appetizer and we both had a bowl of the Tan Tan Ramen. The chicken was nice and crispy and very flavorful so yummy! It was a big portion size too. I like that they were bite sized. The Tan Tan Ramen was steaming when it arrived at our table but was not physically hot like I was expecting which was great! I could dig in and not burn my mouth which is a first time ever for me! The ground pork added a nice spice and flavor to the soup and was perfect! My husband does not like too many hot spices in his soup and this one was perfect for him. Finally found my new favorite ramen place! I ordered on their website and picked up on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed - every table was full. Usually a great sign! I ordered the spicy miso ramen with fried tofu added in and it was PERFECT. Great level of spice, the tofu portion size was awesome, and the ingredients (and noodles) tasted really fresh. Friends had told me how great this place was, so we met up here for dinner last night. There's an array of options including various appetizers, bento boxes and of course ramen! I went with the eponymous Sudooku Ramen, with a pork bone based broth, as did another of my dining companions, while the third member of our party tried the garlic soy noodles. Portions are large: no one totally finished, but maybe that's because we started with the delicious buns, both cha shu pork and karaage fried chicken. The buns were lovely, pillowy and a nice texture, and both fillings tasty: if you want something richer, go for the pork with its sauce; for crispness offset by a slightly spicy sauce, the chicken is for you. If dining in, get here early as it's a small spot. Staff was friendly and checked on us frequently. We are now totally spoiled for ramen in Naperville; it's a tie for me between 45 Degree Tea and Sudooku, and honestly I liked the appetizer here perhaps even more than the entree! I still remember when Sodooku first opened & I enjoyed a fabulous Bento box after getting my nails done at Lux next door. The food is so fresh beyond almost any restaurant I've ever been to. it's fast without being fast food and the staff is extremely attentive to your needs beyond your expectations. Now that it has become a place in our family's world similar to how Cheers would be back in the 90's on TV...we enjoy being on a first name basis given how much we absolutely adore the food and extraordinary service here such that we're willing to drive an hour 1/2 or more round trip for a meal! the price is right to compensate for extra gas! it's an intimate place but I've seen the love for Sdooku grow so much that I forsee them growing to twice the size one day! read more

This place is my new favorite for food. Everything we tried we liked. We had a group of 6 and the place was busy so we had 3 people sit at the "bar" and 3 at a table.
