    Chicken Yakisoba

Ordered a chicken yakisoba. Favor was good, but I found it to be overpriced for the portion you pay especially in a food court setting. No miso soup on the side like I'm use to with other restaurants offering lunch. 4 hours after my meal I had severe stomach pains and had to rush home. Safe to say I will not be returning.

Foods all really good, I love how thin the shredded veggies were. They gave you a bottle to self serve the sauce for the poke bowl. Just wished they'd have non-styeofoam containers to share. Everything was really good, serving sizes are good too. Staff super friendly.

Had no idea there was a food court inside of HMart.. lucky me I got to try the beef bulgogi miso broth ramen. It was delicious! And the potion size was great, I got a hefty container of leftovers for home.

We were eating in the food court like area and wanted to try the food at Miso Nara. There were quite a few people there, but we were able to find a place to sit without any issue. We ordered at the counter and were given a little thing that vibrated and lit up to let us know when our food was done. I can not remember what the name of the dish was, but it was a ramen type bowl that was very good and served hot and fresh. The whole area, including the restrooms, is handicap accessible.

In the H-Mart (Korean grocery store) food court. Udon, ramen and rice dish options. Good portions. I got the salmon poke bowl and my boyfriend got the tonkotsu ramen. The ramen broth was so yummy and flavorful. The meat was soft and delicious. For the poke bowl all the ingredients were fresh vegetables and the salmon and crab were very fresh too. They gave you a side of the Mayo siracha sauce so you could add more if needed which was nice because it wasn't drenched in sauce. Definitely worth the price since portion sizes are huge.

We stopped in last night to grab dinner from the food court in H-Mart, and decided to go with Miso Nara. We got the salmon poke bowl and chicken teriyaki entree. Both came with a side of small cup of miso tofu soup, which was good Salmon poke bowl - was loaded with veggies and had good portions of salmon as well. The quantity of rice was also not overpowering. Everything was fresh tasting, really good. Chicken teriyaki plate - it was very flavorful and tasted delicious . The portions were good enough for the price. Will try other things next time.

Nicely lit seating area wot comfortable seats. Friendly service that will clear out your tray if they are available. I had the tonkotsu ramen which had the noodles cooked just right. The meat was also tender and very flavorful. Had a good serving size for when you're very hungry. Definitely a place to recommend and I'll try a different plate as they all seem very tasty.

Located in H Mart's K-Town Food Hall, Miso Nara replaces another Japanese place that was par for the course. These new owners have an easy menu that offers up a good variety of ramen bowls which is a major upgrade over what was there previously. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and there was miscommunication and I was given the incorrect tonkatsu order. The owners apologized and corrected this mistake by making the ramen for me that I originally ordered AND gave me the mistaken plate as a courtesy. Wow I was not expecting that! Both the ramen and tonkatsu were great in taste, presentation, and reasonably priced. This is better than some full blown restaurants! I'm a happy customer and will definitely support service and food like this!

Go to restaurant in H Mart. Extra crispy chicken katsu. Not to expensive and fast service.

This is located in H mart-- they have a system down with buzzers. We had spicy beef ramen and it was SO good. The broth was warming to the chest with a kick of spice. The best ramen I've had

It was plenty of food, topped off with smores for dessert. The meat was fresh. Lots of meat, good beef, some pork, and a few shrimp. The salads were good... might be better if we'd asked for the salad dressing on the side. The sukiyaki was surprising in that it was more like fried rice. Spicy chiggae soup was yummy, nice and spicy. So much food. Super yummy. Park in the structure around the corner on Chicago Ave.

After 10 minutes the host comes and tells the couple they have tables but they aren't cleaned yet and he's waiting. Mind you the restaurant isn't packed, but there are a few tables dining. I'm guessing they were understaffed. Anyhow, after another 10 minutes the guy ahead of us gets seated. Nothing was said to us. Another party of two came and they were also waiting and they flagged someone down. The host said the same thing as earlier, they have tables that haven't been cleaned. 10 mins later he goes to try to seat them knowing we were there first. The lady even told him, well they were here first. He went ahead and seated them anyway then came back and got us. It's 245. I told him we had a reservation for 230. The lack of communication from the host was off putting. We were hungry and my son really wanted bbq. I would have gone to SGD, but they are closed on Mondays. Anyhow, we wait around a good 10 mins before a server comes to take a drink order. Again, they weren't completely packed, I counted 3 servers and a host. We order ribeye, chicken, filet, kalbi and the hirami in a pot for our meats. We also got corn, spinach, a salad and the fried rice and an order of white rice. I ask him if that's enough food and he says yes, but you can keep a menu in case you want more. Our table was 2 adults and 2 kids who are 11 and 9. Fried rice comes out first and the meats. I ask him to bring the white rice too for my son. He said he forgot and will grab it right away. Let's just say he brought the white rice a good 15 mins after...and I had to remind him. So my son is sitting there eating his meat with no rice. The hirami in the pot was a good size but there were 5 pieces of ribeye and 5 pieces of filet and 5 pieces of chicken and maybe 8 pieces of the kalbi. How is this enough for 4 people? So we order another 2 orders of kalbi. I don't know the happy hour portions are tiny. We also needed refills and that took a couple reminders. We also ordered another order of rice. We are pretty much done eating when I ask him what happened to our rice order? He said he will check and that he ordered it awhile ago. He comes back within 2 minutes with our rice saying there was a mix up in the kitchen? Was it really a mix up or did you just forget? By the time we get our check it's 445. Why did this take so long? We have been there before and we are usually in and out in an hour and a half. So they took the fried rice off our bill. Then for tip, it's asking if we want to tip 18, 22 or 22%? Are you being serious? This guy had to constantly be reminded of everything, service was so slow and he had only two other tables. Someone else was picking up our dirty plates and bringing us the meats. I've never had a bad experience here until now. The visit wasn't worth the $180. Food was good except the filet. That had no flavor at all and had to be drenched with the sauces on the table. We have gotten delivery from here before and the portions were bigger during delivery. One other thing to note, the server never even changed out our grill...they usually do that half way through.

The only "problem" we had - and it was OURS - was that we were utterly unfamiliar with the cuisine, or any 'best practices' related to cooking and eating our own Japanese meal. In the end (and we may be wrong!), we discovered that the best way to approach the meal was to create bowls of soup with ingredients that looked yummy, and to proceed from there. The issue with that, was that the flavor of the wagu seemed to be lost in the soup broth... so it seemed immaterial to me if the meat was wagu or some other thicker tasty meat. The crab portions were fresh and immense! I don't usually care for crab or lobster- too much heat loss between kitchen and table, and by the time I've released the MEAT, it's cold. I detest cold food - an abusive childhood. My bride gave me a few bites, dipped in the broth to warm it up. Yummy. We arrived at 6:45 or so on Mother's Day, with reservations. (Thanks!) We were immediately seated. It looked as if Shabu Yo had had a brisk afternoon - many as-yet-unbussed tables - which posed no issues at all - they were still sitting people lickety-split! Our waiter ("Putki"? sp) was very attentive and kind, and really cared about the quality of our experience. In fact, ALL of the staff seemed to evince the same care and attention, no matter how hard a day they may have had. And that brings up a point of realization: my wife and I are die-hard "Foodies". But the most memorable meals we've had have been at restaurants that exhibit care and pride at doing their ENTIRE JOB well - not just food quality, but ambience and the "experience" of dining there. Shabu You definitely met that measure! Heck, I'm gonna add that star! :) My Bride and I agreed that we'd definitely come back to explore further, after some personal research on the cuisine. I'm looking forward to it!

Absolutely terrible service. Came in for a family Valentine's Day dinner. We had an early…read morereservation (4:30p) for our family of 4 (two school age children). We were barely greeted when walking in and making immediate eye contact with the host but yet nothing was said - no "hello," no "welcome in", no nothing. After an awkward 10-15 seconds of standing there face to face, all that was said was "how many?" in the most irritated and unwelcoming of acknowledgements from the host. Dinner was decent and food and side options were good, although service was lackluster. Nothing really wowed me but I also don't really have complaints of the meal itself. We were sitting and eating for about 45 minutes when my husband asked for the check. We are "early payers," making sure to square away the bill if most of us are finished. We do this as a courtesy to staff so that the minute the last of our family is finished, we don't need to wait for the server to get our bill and wait to pay, we quickly leave so they can turn over the table (my family has owned a restaurant so I understand this need). My one child was not entirely done although 3 of us were. We are still under an hour of being at the table when the host comes over to do a general clean up then says, "now if you can please take the conversation outside, it's busy." Normally I would respect this method as turnover is importance, however, we had been at the table for LESS THAN an hour - not obnoxiously exceeding their 90-minute rule. My husband looked at him and said, "that's really rude, we've barely been here an hour." To which the host responds, "Yea, but don't you see it's busy? I have tables waiting" while pointing to the host stand. My husband and I are shocked at the comment so we end up seeing the owner helping tables and my husband tells him, "We understand the need to free up tables but his delivery was extremely unprofessional. There could have been a better way to have said that, we've only been here for 50 minutes." The owner was shocked himself that his host said that considering we were not there all that long. But the host came back hovering and telling him, "but they paid so I assume they should have left knowing there's tables waiting and they've already paid the bill." Again - shocked at the delivery. The owner was very apologetic but he should consider a better front of the house host/manager. It completely turned us away from ever coming back, it has been over 2 weeks and we still talk about how rude service was. All of that disrespect when here we were trying to make turnover quicker for them by paying right away. We were willing to give them another chance to enjoy a second meal there but not anymore.
