My wife and I have been loyal customers of this location since the grand opening. We only use the…read moreservice during the winter to keep de-icing salt off our vehicles, so we subscribe to the monthly plan--$24.99 for unlimited washes. Recently, I noticed some unusual charges in my bank account. After looking into it, I discovered that my wife's car was being charged $16 for every single wash, instead of the monthly rate we originally signed up for. When I checked the app on her phone, I saw there is now a feature that allows individual wash purchases. Somehow, her account was switched to that option without our knowledge. I contacted the corporate office and explained the situation, but they claimed they could do nothing and told me to contact the specific location. When I called the location, I spoke with a very smug representative who insisted that they "always explain" that individual wash purchases incur per-wash charges. I explained that no one had spoken to either of us--we signed up through the app and never interacted with staff at the location. For context, their top-tier unlimited wash plan is $34.95 a month, allowing daily washes. Yet in just five weeks, they charged my account $96 for individual washes. I proposed a simple, reasonable solution: keep the $34.95 monthly fee for two months and refund the difference. They refused outright. This was not an accident, and their policy claims they thoroughly explain charges--something that did not happen. Despite seeing two years of consistent monthly subscription use from both my wife and me, they chose to prioritize an extra $25 instead of retaining loyal customers. I told them they could enjoy the $96 because we will never spend another penny at this or any Tommy's Car Wash location. There are dozens of monthly car wash options across Metro Detroit, and I strongly recommend avoiding this company. They clearly do not care about their customers. It's disheartening that customer service has fallen this far. Even when presented with clear evidence of unusual charges completely outside our normal usage pattern, they were more concerned with squeezing a few extra dollars than doing the right thing. Absolutely incredible--and profoundly unprofessional. I only wish there was an option to give zero stars. But as you can see from their star rating, I am not the only person that has had an issue with this location and the way that they treat their customers.

I figured I'd have the luxury of a few guys spraying and attentively looking over my van. Boy was I wrong. I purchased the Silver package which included a tire shine and wheel wash and shine among other things. I generously tipped the crew after they towel dried and applied the tire shine but was really disappointed when I got home. Keep in mind it was a beautiful dry and sunny day so none of the dirt you see in the photos occurred on my drive from their lot to home. They earned the the second star only because I was greeted upon my arrival and the crew "seemed" professional otherwise it would have been a one star rating. 09/21/23 UPDATE: The management team from Magic Touch reached out to me in order to make things right. I returned to their other location that's a little closer since I live almost a half hour away from the original location. The manager was very attentive and passionate about making things right. The follow up and customer service was 100/100 so I definitely appreciated that. The van looked much better this time around. Many business get complacent or lazy when they're successful but the great ones rise to the occasion when things don't go right the first time and Magical Touch stepped up. So I'm gonna add another two stars from my original two star rating. END OF UPDATE

It had been a very long time since I'd been here last but I was in desperate need of a deep clean…read moreon my car so I swung by when in the area, not sure what I'd find after such a long absence. I'm glad to report that the quality of the clean is still great and the folks are just as nice as before. The rogue glitter and pine needles from hauling christmas decorations, the stray sand from trips up north and a road trip to South Carolina, dog fur, sticky spilled coffee spots, etc etc, all gone. The tires were shined up, floor mats rinsed off, etc etc. The price has DEFINITELY gone up since I was here last, with a full service cleaning going for about $35 now. But for what is essentially a mini detailing and the quality of the cleaning I found the price doable. Especially since a lot of a high power self-serve vacuums can run more than a few bucks and this way I didn't have to do the labor and didn't need to scrounge up quarters. Speaking of scrounging up, tho, since I was here last the adjacent gas station has closed. Being someone who doesn't carry cash most of the time I always used the gas station as a spot to get cash back or hit the ATM so I could give the folks a tip. This time I had to run across the street to the other gas station to do it. So if you come by I highly recommend making sure you have some $$ beforehand if you're the generous type. The good news is that the Starbucks is still there, there's a dunkin next door, and a Auntie Anne's pretzel in the building now where the gas station used to be. They still have their "waiting room" but if you're peckish or thirsty there are plenty of places to grab something while you wait for your car to be cleaned!
