It had been a very long time since I'd been here last but I was in desperate need of a deep clean on my car so I swung by when in the area, not sure what I'd find after such a long absence. I'm glad to report that the quality of the clean is still great and the folks are just as nice as before. The rogue glitter and pine needles from hauling christmas decorations, the stray sand from trips up north and a road trip to South Carolina, dog fur, sticky spilled coffee spots, etc etc, all gone. The tires were shined up, floor mats rinsed off, etc etc. The price has DEFINITELY gone up since I was here last, with a full service cleaning going for about $35 now. But for what is essentially a mini detailing and the quality of the cleaning I found the price doable. Especially since a lot of a high power self-serve vacuums can run more than a few bucks and this way I didn't have to do the labor and didn't need to scrounge up quarters. Speaking of scrounging up, tho, since I was here last the adjacent gas station has closed. Being someone who doesn't carry cash most of the time I always used the gas station as a spot to get cash back or hit the ATM so I could give the folks a tip. This time I had to run across the street to the other gas station to do it. So if you come by I highly recommend making sure you have some $$ beforehand if you're the generous type. The good news is that the Starbucks is still there, there's a dunkin next door, and a Auntie Anne's pretzel in the building now where the gas station used to be. They still have their "waiting room" but if you're peckish or thirsty there are plenty of places to grab something while you wait for your car to be cleaned! read more

I recently drove to Dearborn Michigan to visit friends. On the drive from Tennessee to Michigan it rained most of the time. When I got there my car was filthy!! So I googled car washes and Fairlane came up. Close to the hotel I was staying at, and the reviews were good. I went for the mid range price wash and I was impressed with the job. Not perfect, but good enough that I'm writing this review! I'm now back in Tennessee and it's still clean and shiny. Bottom line, it's not a hands on car wash (it's machine driven, however theres two guys that dry your car before you exit) but worth the price. Easy in and out with either a credit card or cash. Do not sign up for the car wash club. They make it impossible to cancel. I'm still being charged 2 months later. They have no working email to contact them and they do not answer the telephone number listed. I even tried messenger on their Facebook page to no avail. read more

I'm not sure what happened to the reasonably-priced in/out wash, but it sure is gone. It will now run you $25, where the folks working in back basically are in NO RUSH whatsoever to get the inside of your car cleaned up. I'm so, so sad because I used to love this place. I even suggested that my dad go there on his way out of town so that he could get a wash... thankfully he passed, and I'll be sure to let him know not to bother in the future. It takes FOREVER to get your car done. Definitely won't be using this place again. Bummer. read more

IF I COULD PUT A -1000000/5 I WOULD... WHERE DO I START. I tipped 20 dollars just for them to leave their cleaning bottle on my seat in the back. I never went into the backseat in 3 days, I go to place something and all u see is the bottle is poured all over my cushion seats and turned into this jelly like sticky substance that's all over! it damaged my seats and so I went back to them to let them know what they did and asked them to clean it. They tell me they cant do anything about it and says its oney windex in the bottles. Then tries to put the blame on me saying I put petroleum jelly on my seats. tell me why would I think of putting anything on my 2021 blacked out Range Rover with red interior. Pay $25 for a better wash. Went through the car wash while I was inside and when I was done they told me to go over to the right and then wait in the waiting room. I thought that was pretty neat. I got out of the car and I was standing in dirty muddy asphalt. Went in the waiting room and then they told me to come out. The guy that was doing the inside told me you take care of me and I'll take care of you. Little fist pump. Asking for a tip before the work started as well. They notified me when it is time to come out and I did and ask them for a change for my $10. I was going to give them five dollars. They did not have change so I had to go and get it. When I gave him the five dollars he did not seem that happy at all. To make matters worse when I got in there were smudge marks all the way around my car from them going in and out of the door with Arbor on their hands or something. Inside it did not look that clean either. It looks like they did a real quick wipe down. Floors were vacuumed well though. I like going to this car wash when it's not extremely busy. Only then can I get my money's worth for the ultra interior/exterior car wash. They do a pretty good job, even cleaned/vacuumed my trunk space. I know its a little higher priced than some of the other car washes in the area, so I really don't wash my car that much. The staff is friendly and very helpful when I ask something to be cleaned. And it helps that there's a Starbucks next door, where you can wait until your car is done. Suggestion...you tend to wait a little longer on the warm sunny days for a good car wash cleaning. read more

I recently went here to get my vehicle washed and the inside cleaned. I have gone here for a long time and have referred people here as well. But the service has definitely gone downhill. They have raise the prices and have definitely not raise the customer service. I was advised that it would be no more than 30 minutes. But then an hour later they still had not finished my vehicle. The kid was sitting in the car playing on his cell phone. Another kid was sitting in the front eating some thing. I eventually told him that I had to leave and to stop "cleaning" the vehicle. This place is awesome. I have never had my car detailed before - as I always do it myself. But this time, in the middle of January, it seemed like a good time to have someone else do it. I work in Dearborn, and quickly found this place through a yelp search. $25 for full-service interior and exterior cleaning. Wasn't crazy about the idea of spending $25 on something I could do myself, but it was long overdue and needed to get done. Best $25.00 I've spent. I went through the exterior wash, and parked for the interior service. There's a waiting room with free water bottles where I waited. Immediately there were at least 3 or 4 guys working on the car. I thought it'd be 5 or 10 minutes. It was at least 20 and they worked on it the entire time. The longer I sat there, the more I knew I was getting my moneys worth. My car looks brand new on the inside. Seriously vacuumed to perfection. I will NEVER do it myself again. I'm so glad I found this place! read more

I got the inside and out $16 special and I couldn't be happier with the results! After vacationing in the upper Peninsula we had bugs all over the car and windshield, grime on the car body and lots of sand all over the interior. This crew made this car showroom quality! The service took about 15 minutes and I feel the value and service can't be beat! I usually clean my own vehicle interior, because I have high expectations and standards that usually are not met with commercial carwashes but, based on the reviews of this place I gave them a chance and I'm glad I did! The past few times I came here they tell you after you pull in that there's either an hour wait or that they're not accepting anymore people for inside and out. I understand being short staffed but I don't wanna do the outside of my car and have to come back tomorrow and do inside and out again. Theres no sign that lets you know that before pulling in and a bunch of cars pulling up behind you. I pulled in this morning and the guy was doing something on the register, after waiting for him to finish and speak to me. I asked for a Inside and outside wash and he said that there's an hour wait then immediately after said they're not accepting anymore cars right now. I asked for a manager and the manager said they're short staffed and there would be an hour wait and that he "doesn't know" what to tell me. It's always hit or miss with this car wash. At times you get someone that will detail your car so well, you'd think it was worth way more than $25. Other times, they miss cleaning the most basic parts like the cup holders, console, or the inside of the doors. Let them know which areas to focus on before they start the interior, otherwise you'll end up waiting 1.5 hours only to leave super pissed because of a mediocre cleaning you could've done yourself. read more

It's honestly hit-or-miss with Fairlane Car Wash. They do a better job than most places, but it depends on who's detailing your car. I always get the $25 inside/out wash and John is really the only detailer who I like to work on my car because his attention to detail is killer. He's also incredibly nice! I have two small children who make an absolute mess of the back of my car and if John doesn't do it, I usually have to point out areas that were missed or just clean it myself when I get home. If I'm paying $25 already, why should I still have to clean it myself? On a good day, this place is great but when they're not 100%, it's a waste of money. read more

If the customer service wouldn't have been above and beyond, this place would have gotten two stars. I paid $90 for my boyfriend's Ion to be detailed. This car was a wreck inside and needed a good, deep cleaning. I let them know that on the phone and they guaranteed me that they get "down and dirty" with all their cars. It was the cheapest quote I had gotten and they estimated the job to take about 2 hours, when other places were telling me I had to leave it there for 8+. I dropped it off at 8am. I told the owner, Darnell, that the carpets and seats were what I was mainly concerned with, as they were pretty badly stained. He said no problem, they'd call me when they were done. They called me at noon. I was a little aggravated at the fact that it had taken double the time they had told me, but this car was, as I said, a mess, so I figured it had just taken them awhile to scrub through it. I picked it up, the guy had asked me to check it out, and I did. It looked good, standing from the passenger side door. The carpet stains couldn't all be lifted out, which was understandable, but most were and the car looked clean. They laid plastic over my seats and away I went. On my way home, I checked out the dashboard and it was filthy. I ran my hand across it and sure enough, dust and whatever else was all over my hand. I looked in the door and it was still dirty. I checked the middle console...dirty, with a puddle of soap sitting in the inside. So, I called when I got home. I talked to Darnell, who told me I could bring it back up and they'd re-clean it, no problem because with a $90 detail, everything should have been cleaned, down to the seatbelt buckles. I had to drag my infant along with me, so I wasn't happy. But, I mean, at least they offered to fix the issue, right? I got there, they were more than apologetic about the issue and Darnell himself came out and cleaned it for me. We waited in the waiting room, which was really nice and stocked with free beverages. He called me to come check it out and walked me around my entire vehicle. He asked me to let him know if I saw any spots so that he could clean whatever he had missed. That was the above and beyond part; he wasn't rude, he was more than willing to do whatever I asked, and he was through. However, there were about 10 obvious spots that were still dirty...so that was an issue. Overall, the customer service was great, in the aspect that they gave me absolutely no attitude and no crap about bringing my car back when most places would be sure to at least give you an eye roll. I was impressed that the owner took it upon himself to re-clean my vehicle instead of having one of the ten available employees standing around do it. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the clean and still ended up polishing it myself when I got home, so I won't be back. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. Twice I've brought cars to the VIP service that looked terrible on the inside - neglected, coffee stains, dog hair...we are hard on our cars and manage to get the insides done about once a year. I took a Ford Taurus here about a year ago so i could trade it in without being too embarrassed and see if i could get a few more dollars for it. I couldn't believe what an amazing job they did so i came back with my Toyota Corolla which was covered in dog hair from two shedding dogs as well as plenty of stains all over the place. Corey and George did an amazing job in less than 40 minutes the VIP service is well well worth it. Ask for them and you won't be sorry. I feel like I'm driving a brand new car. 25 bucks out the door for inside/outside wash is phenomenal. I think I waited a total of 15-20 minutes while they did the inside. I can say that everything on the inside looked brand new. They conditioned my seats, got my floormats looking great, and smelled fantastic. I was picking up a client for the next day and she commented how spotless the inside was. The employees couldn't have been more congenial. Top notch customer service and I respect that. My only complaint would be they missed a spot on the inside glass when cleaning it (I did have a GPS hanging there that they didn't want to move, so it's understandable) Overall fantastic job and I'm recommending to anyone that needs a low-cost incredible wash. read more

I was always very happy with the service. Recently I went back to get a full service wash and discovered they did away with the different options. I used to get a $16 interior/exterior wash and they had a few other choices. Now, it's $25 for the wash! That's crazy. I can get my car washed for way less money elsewhere. When I wanted to back out of the wash, the person waiting on me asked if I wanted to just get the exterior done for $8. That's also outrageous! I can get the exterior done down the street with everything dried for $4.00 and tip the guys a few bucks and still spend less. I just think this is price gauging! I have to vent...My fiancé and I went to have our cars detailed. His car was done before mine, so he pulled over to wait until mine was done. I guess one of the employees (African American I might add). felt otherwise. He walked pass me and stated, "I'm not cleaning no more black people cars...forget this!" I'm incredibly curious where this came from, but I'm assuming he THOUGHT he wouldn't tip. I shared the comment with my fiancé (who planned on tipping him after my truck was done, since we had to walk across the street to an ATM). Maybe it's because I drive such a large car - Lincoln baby ! But the full service wash always seems to miss cleaning the top of my car. The drying doesn't eliminate all the water spotting, especially on the hood and trunk. read more
